The findings demonstrated how they adopted and adapted English to interact creatively and playfully in a context with spatio- temporal constraints(Werry 1996) in maintaining and establishing social contact, and to express their cultural identity through code- switching. The speech modifications and linguistic features provided evidence that within the context of Chinese e-discourse can be considered as important attributes of cultural identity.展开更多
