Dynamic centrifuge model test was conducted to study the earthquake-induced differential settlement of foundation on cohesive ground, and the influence of asymmetry of building was investigated. During the experiment, the overconsolidated kaolin clay ground with a three-dimensional asymmetrical structure model was shaken by a basically balanced input motion, and bender elements were used to measure shear wave velocities of model ground to reveal the soil fabric evolution during and after shaking. The test results show that, the total seismic settlement of foundation is composed of instantaneous and long-term post-earthquake settlements, and most of the differential settlement occurs immediately after the earthquake while the post-earthquake settlement is relatively uniform despite its large amplitude. The asymmetry of building affects the settlement behavior considerably. Compared with 1-or 2-dimensional structures, more evident differential settlement occurs under threedimensional asymmetrical building during shaking, which accounts for one-half of the total seismic settlements and results in complex spatial tilting effects of foundation. 展开更多

Rural settlement is the basic spatial unit for compact communities in rural area. Scientific exploration of spatial-temporal differentiation and its influencing factors is the premise of spatial layout rationalization. Based on land use data of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture(hereinafter referred to as Liangshan Prefecture) in Sichuan Province, China from 1980 to 2020, compactness index, fractal dimension, imbalance index, location entropy and the optimal parameters-based geographical detector(OPGD) model are used to analyze the spatial-temporal evolution of the morphological characteristics of rural settlements, and to explore the influence of natural geographical factors, socioeconomic factors, and policy factors on the spatial differentiation of rural settlements. The results show that:(1) From 1980 to 2020, the rural settlements area in Liangshan Prefecture increased by 15.96 km^(2). In space, the rural settlements are generally distributed in a local aggregation, dense in the middle and sparse around the periphery. In 2015, the spatial density and expansion index of rural settlements reached the peak.(2) From 1980 to 2020, the compactness index decreased from 0.7636 to 0.7496, the fractal dimension increased from 1.0283 to 1.0314, and the fragmentation index decreased from 0.1183 to 0.1047. The spatial morphological structure of rural settlements tended to be loose, the shape contour tended to be complex, the degree of fragmentation decreased, and the spatial distribution was significantly imbalanced.(3) The results of OPGD detection in 2015 show that the influence of each factor is slope(0.2371) > traffic accessibility(0.2098) > population(0.1403) > regional GDP(0.1325) > elevation(0.0987) > poverty alleviation(0). The results of OPGD detection in 2020 show that the influence of each factor is slope(0.2339) > traffic accessibility(0.2198) > population(0.1432) > regional GDP(0.1219) > poverty alleviation(0.0992) > elevation(0.093). Natural geographical factors(slope and elevation) are the basic factors affecting the spatial distribution of rural settlements, and rural settlements are widely distributed in the river valley plain and the second half mountain area. Socioeconomic factors(traffic accessibility, population, and regional GDP) have a greater impact on the spatial distribution of rural settlements, which is an important factor affecting the spatial distribution of rural settlements. Policy factors such as poverty alleviation relocation have an indispensable impact on the spatial distribution of rural settlements. The research results can provide decisionmaking basis for the spatial arrangement of rural settlements in Liangshan Prefecture, and optimize the implementation of rural revitalization policies. 展开更多

By the use of a large-scale ground differential settlement simulator, a full-size model test is performed to study the strain response and the deformation behavior of both the wearing course of asphalt cement and the base course of cement-stabilized gravel. Moreover, with the differential settlement at the bottom of the pavement structure as the constraint condition, a plane finite element model is established, which is used to study the stress variation of different pavement layers in response to the differential settlement of varying magnitudes. It shows that, under the effects of the ground differential settlement, the wearing course is subjected to the tensile stress while the base course to the compressive stress and the maximum additional tensile stress and compressive stress occur in the area of 1 m from the splicing joint between the new and the old subgrade. Plastic deformation develops in both layers when the ground differential settlement reaches 14 cm. When the differential settlement at the bottom of the pavement goes up to 1 cm, the maximum additional stress in the surface of the base course will reach 0. 28 MPa, which surpasses 0.276 MPa that is specified in the current specifications as the maximum splitting tensile strength for cement-stabilized base material. 展开更多

This study introduced at first the background of numerous highway widening projects that have been developed in recent years in China.Using a large ground settlement simulator and a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) strain sensor network system,a large-scale model test,with a similarity ratio of 1:2,was performed to analyze the influence of differential settlement between new and old subgrades on pavement structure under loading condition.The result shows that excessive differential settlement can cause considerable tensile strain in the pavement structure of a widened road,for which a maximum value (S) of 6 cm is recommended.Under the repetitive load,the top layers of pavement structure are subjected to the alternate action of tensile and compressive strains,which would eventually lead to a fatigue failure of the pavement.However,application of geogrid to the splice between the new and the old roads can reduce differential settlement to a limited extent.The new subgrade of a widened road is vulnerable to the influence of dynamic load transferred from the above pavement structures.While for the old subgrade,due to its comparatively high stiffness,it can well spread the load on the pavement statically or dynamically.The test also shows that application of geogrid can effectively prevent or defer the failure of pavement structure.With geogrid,the modulus of resilience of the subgrade is increased and inhomogeneous deformation can be reduced;therefore,the stress/strain distribution in pavement structure under loading condition becomes uniform.The results obtained in this context are expected to provide a helpful reference for structural design and maintenance strategy for future highway widening projects. 展开更多

Differential uplift and settlement between inner column and diaphragm wall in top-down excavation 被引量:5

Top structure and basement will confront the risk of being damaged on account of large stress and strain fields incurred by differential uplift and settlement between inner column and diaphragm wall in top-down method. Top-down excavation of the Metro Line 10 in Shanghai was modeled with finite element analysis software ABAQUS and parameters of subsoil were obtained by inverse analysis. Based on the finite element model and parameters, changes in the following factors were made to find more effective methods to restrain differential uplift and settlement: length of diaphragm wall, thickness of jet-grouting reinforcement layer, ways of subsoil reinforcement, sequence of pit excavation, connection between slabs and diaphragm wall or column and width of pit. Several significant results are acquired. The longer the diaphragm wall is, the greater the differential uplift between column and diaphragm wall is. Rigidity of roof slab is in general not strong enough to keep diaphragm wall and column undergoing the same uplift during excavation; Uplift at head of column and differential uplift between column and diaphragm wall decrease when subsoil from-16.6 to-43 m in pit is reinforced through jet-grouting. But, as excavation proceeds to a lower level, benefit from soil reinforcement diminishes. During the process applying vertical load, the larger the depth of diaphragm wall is, the smaller the settlement is at head of column and diaphragm wall, and the greater the differential settlement is between column and diaphragm wall. When friction connection is implemented between column, diaphragm wall and floor slabs, uplifts at head of column and diaphragm wall are larger than those of the case when tie connection is implemented, and so does differential uplift between column and diaphragm wall. The maximum deflection of diaphragm wall decreases by 58% on account of soil reinforcement in pit. The maximum deflection of diaphragm wall decreases by 61.2% when friction connection is implemented instead of tie connection. 展开更多

The theory of traditional materials strength and their technologic economy are applied to analyze the additional bend stress of the pavement structure, the equivalent beam of elastic foundation and influence on the pavement structure of an uneven settlement. The allowable settling ratio of pavement index ( △i ) is got and is used to appraise the uneven settlement standard value in subgrade. The allowable settling ratio of pavement index is applied in an certain widening expressway project and △i ≤0.36 % is attained by the analyzing, calculating and adding a certain safe coefficient. The mRNA differential display (DDRT-PCR) technique was adopted to find out the genes related tosettlement metamorphosis development process of Ruditapes philippinarum larvae.In this study,we haveobtained three hundred and forty-six amplification bands in total from pediveliger larvae,veliger larvae,eye spot larvae and post-larvae.Sixty-five out of three hundred and forty-six bands are distinctly differen-tial display from band pattern,which can be put into four groups,standing for different expression char-acters.Sixteen differential display bands were cloned,sequenced and analyzed and nine different se-quences are obtained in the study.Three sequences have higher similarity to the cDNAs deposited indatabase and three are very similar to the rDNA of other species,considered as the rDNA of Ruditapesphilippinarum.The rest three sequences are found to be novel sequences after analyzed.Their accessionnumbers are AY916799,AY916798,and AY916797 respectively.We thought the novel sequences arepossibly relevant to the early embryo development of Ruditapes philippinarum larvae and can provide somefundamental understandings that are helpful for the improvement of scallop seed raising industry. 展开更多

In this research, the actual stress characteristics of high embankment are simplified, stability compression value of stuffing with loads under lateral restricted conditions can be measured, e-p curves and p-s curves are drawn, we can calculate compression modulus as computation criteria to estimate the settlement of high embankment. The results indicate that unconsolidated flow of high embankment is the main factor to cause differential settlement of high embankment in mountain area. As the soil consolidated, compressive deformation and the strength gradually increase, the bearing capacity of the foundation is enhanced to reduce differential settlement of the post-construction of high embankment. 展开更多

The Changtang Plateau(CTP)in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China is one of the top-10 uninhabited areas with the most important ecological value in the world.It is of great academic and practical significance to carry out research on human settlements in the marginal zones of the uninhabited areas to promote harmonious coexistence between humans and nature on the CTP.Using high-definition remote-sensing images to visually interpret and identify settlement-patch data,combined with field investigations,this study explores the spatial characteristics of human settlements in Shuanghu and Nyima counties and their responses to natural and socioeconomic conditions in the hinterland of the CTP.Findings reveal that the scale of human settlements on the CTP is extremely small,and density is very sparse.Settlements on the CTP primarily consist of several households,with some containing more than a dozen households,or are sub-village scale.Socioeconomic development is low and socioeconomic factors have a weak influence on the settlement layout on the CTP.Natural factors are the core elements affecting the layout of human settlements on the CTP.Settlements tend to occur on low mountains,gentle slopes,and areas with high average annual temperatures.Careful settlement site selection can help to mitigate the impact of natural disasters.To meet the needs of grazing,settlement layouts must typically have a high-quality grassland orientation.Riverbanks are key settlement areas,and settlement sites are often far away from alpine salt lakes.The characteristics of settlements on the CTP and their responses to environmental conditions significantly differ from those of human settlements in low-altitude inland areas. 展开更多

盾构隧道在下卧地层软硬突变、局部堆载等因素影响下易产生不均匀沉降,可能诱发管片环间错台、螺栓断裂和接缝渗水等病害,危及隧道安全。然而,现有试验研究在隧道模型上多将纵向接头简化处理,难以反映盾构隧道纵向受力变形特性,对于隧... 盾构隧道在下卧地层软硬突变、局部堆载等因素影响下易产生不均匀沉降,可能诱发管片环间错台、螺栓断裂和接缝渗水等病害,危及隧道安全。然而,现有试验研究在隧道模型上多将纵向接头简化处理,难以反映盾构隧道纵向受力变形特性,对于隧道下卧软硬突变地层等工况的模拟也较为缺乏。为此,提出一种可同时模拟抗拉、抗弯刚度的“弹簧+螺栓型”接头,并以此接头制作可满足纵向力学性能相似的隧道模型,对盾构隧道进行下卧软硬突变、局部堆载等工况下的模型试验,进一步探明不同因素导致的差异沉降对盾构隧道的影响机理,并采用数值模拟验证了试验的可行性。研究结果表明:1)较单一地层而言,隧道下卧软硬突变时纵向沉降曲线呈现明显的非线性,其隧道沉降及差异沉降最值显著增大,软土侧隧道沉降较硬土侧更为显著,最大沉降、沉降差均出现在突变区软土侧衬砌处;2)下卧地层突变导致隧道横向收敛变形在纵向上分布不均,使软土侧衬砌收敛变形减小,硬土侧衬砌收敛变形显著增大;3)局部堆载对管片弯矩分布影响较小,对弯矩最值影响较大;4)下卧软土区隧道结构内力分布明显变异,隧道衬砌正弯矩区域显著增大,负弯矩区域略有减小,且弯矩最值提升显著。因此针对软硬突变地层,必要时在硬土侧隧道可采用粘钢法等方法提升衬砌横向刚度,以控制其收敛变形;软土侧隧道建议对管片进行螺栓复紧,并加强接缝防水,以减小下卧地层弱化对隧道结构产生的不利影响。 展开更多

针对盾构隧道施工侧穿既有建筑物问题,结合南京地铁一号线北延段工程,以盾构隧道侧穿某浅基础建筑物为研究对象,通过对建筑物沉降实测数据进行分析,并利用Plaxis 3D软件建立数值模型,研究了隧道距建筑物不同水平距离和盾构以不同角度穿... 针对盾构隧道施工侧穿既有建筑物问题,结合南京地铁一号线北延段工程,以盾构隧道侧穿某浅基础建筑物为研究对象,通过对建筑物沉降实测数据进行分析,并利用Plaxis 3D软件建立数值模型,研究了隧道距建筑物不同水平距离和盾构以不同角度穿越对建筑物差异沉降与扭曲变形特征的影响。结果表明:随着盾构开挖面逐渐接近建筑物,建筑物差异沉降及扭曲变形逐渐增大;差异沉降量在盾构机通过时达到最大值,之后趋于稳定,而扭曲变形峰值出现在盾构开挖面到达建筑物中点截面位置时,随后逐渐减小;当建筑物中心至隧道轴线的水平距离与隧道外径之比L/D=0.5~2时,建筑物差异沉降量较大,在L/D=1.5时达到峰值;当盾构穿越夹角从θ=0°增大至θ=90°时,建筑物最大差异沉降量不断增加,而最终扭曲变形值则先增大后减小,在θ=45°时扭曲变形达到峰值。研究结果可为盾构隧道侧穿浅基础建筑物时相关类似工程提供参考。 展开更多

以青岛地铁井冈山路站地下空间开发项目为背景,详细介绍了盖挖逆作法施工技术。为了系统地研究地下结构在施工过程中的变形规律,采用有限元软件对施工全过程进行精细化数值模拟研究,得到了不同施工阶段顶板沉降变形规律、施工对周边地... 以青岛地铁井冈山路站地下空间开发项目为背景,详细介绍了盖挖逆作法施工技术。为了系统地研究地下结构在施工过程中的变形规律,采用有限元软件对施工全过程进行精细化数值模拟研究,得到了不同施工阶段顶板沉降变形规律、施工对周边地层变形的影响规律及不同开挖方式条件下竖向结构差异沉降规律。研究结果表明,采用对称开挖法时顶板产生的沉降最小为14.2mm,采用顺序开挖法次之,沉降值为15.2mm,而采用间隔开挖法产生的沉降最大为17.2mm,竖向结构的差异沉降满足规范要求,顶板不会出现开裂破坏。采用对称开挖法时竖向结构的最大沉降和最大差异沉降为3种开挖方式中最小,而采用间隔开挖法为最不利的开挖方式,其产生的最大沉降和差异沉降值为3种开挖方式中最大,故施工中应优先选择对称开挖法,避免选用间隔开挖法。 展开更多

为解决传统路面结构路桥过渡段差异沉降过大和二次跳车问题,结合路桥工程实践,通过将桥头搭板放置一定深度和设置两级枕梁,并将桥头搭板与枕梁现浇在一起的方式,提出一种刚柔连续过渡的桥头搭板结构,用以改善桥头路基的应力分布及变形;... 为解决传统路面结构路桥过渡段差异沉降过大和二次跳车问题,结合路桥工程实践,通过将桥头搭板放置一定深度和设置两级枕梁,并将桥头搭板与枕梁现浇在一起的方式,提出一种刚柔连续过渡的桥头搭板结构,用以改善桥头路基的应力分布及变形;同时为研究不同等级公路的路桥过渡段差异沉降控制阈值,给出量化指标,通过分析桥头跳车作用机理,根据车辆振动系统输入激励与输出响应的关系,建立二维五自由度车辆振动模型,并根据不同等级公路的路桥过渡段处治情况,建立相应的计算模型,编写程序求解人体加权加速度均方根值,根据人体舒适程度分级情况确定不同等级公路的路桥过渡段差异沉降控制阈值。结果表明:高速公路一级公路、二级公路和三级公路的路桥过渡段差异沉降控制阈值为将容许搭板纵坡变化值控制在0.30%~0.40%、0.40%~0.55%、0.50%~0.75%和0.95%~1.35%,四级公路的路桥过渡段差异沉降控制阈值为台阶高度控制在0.05m以内。 展开更多
