An Eco-translatological Perspective on Shenzhen's International City Image Construction:Public Signs Translation as an Example

After the 26th Universiade,Shenzhen has been striving to build a balanced and harmonious translational eco-environment,and make Public Signs translation play a positive role in the construction of international city image.Meanwhile,Shenzhen has formed relative completed systems in beforehand prevention and subsequent punishment in public signs translation.However,there is also a long way to go to perfect the translation eco-environment construction.

黄河上游城乡居民食物代谢过程及资源环境效应研究--以兰州市为例

基于环境足迹理论,以兰州市为例,对比分析了1990—2020年城镇和农村居民食物代谢过程及其资源环境效应的动态演变规律及城乡差异性,并结合相关文献,提出了融合四种环境足迹(水、碳、氮、磷)的综合评价指标“生态效率”,弥补了当前食物消费环境影响研究中各个足迹独立评价的不足。结果表明:(1)1990—2020年,兰州市居民食物消费结构发生了巨大改变,由“温饱型”的植物源食物消费为主逐渐转变为“小康型”动植物源食物并重模式。(2)1990—2020年,城镇居民食物消费环境足迹大体呈上涨趋势,农村居民食物消费环境足迹却在下降。(3)相较于1990年,2020年城镇地区生态效率提高了0.9倍,农村地区提高了0.5倍,这主要得益于人们消费结构的改变和兰州市农业体系的调整和农业技术的优化。在此基础上,本研究提出一系列措施来进一步提高生态效率,优化代谢进程。

Ecological Effects of Remote Smallsand Descending on Urban Area:Deduced from the "Mud - Snow" in Changchun City

A serious sandstorm occurred in North China from April 5 to April 7, 2000, while the remote smallsand decending took place in even larger area to the far northeast China. In Chanchun city, smallsand descending with snow provides the best samples to conduct a quantitative research on the possible impacts of city - ecology. In the 253km2 urban district area of Changchun city, smallsands accumulated up to more than 3000t on April 7, according to the calculation of four "mud - snow" samples. After naturally melting in room temperature, two samples are taken to do quarantine of "invasion bacteria". As a preliminary result, the individual amount of bacterium in 1 ml sample water is up to 8. 9 x 104 or 1. 05 x 105, and it is estimated that there are 640 million "invasion bacterium" individuals in one square meter. This study proves that other than the obvious environmental effects of sandstorm, the urban micro - ecosystem is very possible under threat by the "invasion bacterium" accompanied by remote descending smallsand.

Urban Agricultural Development from the Perspective of Circular Economy——An Analysis of Sino-Singapore Eco-city Model in Tianjin

The connotation and development of circular economy and circular agriculture are illustrated from the perspective of circular economy.Take the duplicable Sino-Singapore Eco-City in Tianjin as a case to analyze the background,significance and features of building Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City and point out the sustainable developmental orientation of the "three harmony and three capabilities" as well as its inspiration on the development of Tianjin urban agriculture from the aspects of water-saving,land-saving and energy-saving.Under the direction of circular economy theory,the enhancement of economical utilization of agricultural resources and resource utilization of agricultural wastes has positive effects on improving urban environment:decentralize organic solid wastes from sewage cycle system;further study the physiological and biochemical mechanism of increasing yield and income of ecological agriculture;bring urban agriculture into city land utilization planning and city development planning.

The Evaluation of Eco-environmental Sensitivity in Ordos City

This paper aims to reveal the difference of eco-environmental sensitivity and its influencing factors in the study area through carrying out the eco-environmental sensitivity evaluation based on land ecological security for 8 counties of Ordos City. Using fragstats landscape pattern analysis,GIS space method and RS analysis,based on ground investigation,this paper uses information mining and data analysis to extract index data for every village in the study area,carry out comprehensive quantitative evaluation,and finally calculate the comprehensive scores of eco-environmental sensitivity of the areas. The paper concludes that the highly sensitive areas and extremely sensitive areas are mainly concentrated in the eastern region of the eastern hilly and gully region and southern region of the Mu Us Desert in Ordos. The main reasons include severe soil erosion in hilly and gully region and serious desertification in southern Mu Us Desert area. So it is necessary to strengthen ecological environment protection in local areas.

Assessing the impacts of ecological-living-productive land changes on eco-environmental quality in Xining City on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China

The Ecological-living-productive land(ELPL)classification system was proposed in an effort to steer China's land pattern to an ecological-centered path,with the development model shifting from a single function into more integrated multifunction land use.The focus is coordinating the man-land contradictions and developing an intensive,efficient and sustainable land use policy in an increasingly tense relationship between humans and nature.Driven by socioeconomic change and rapid population growth,many cities are undergoing urban sprawl,which involves the consumption of cropland and ecological land and threatens the ecological balance.This paper aims to quantitatively analyze the critical effects of ELPL changes on eco-environmental quality according to land use classification based on leading function of ecology,living and production from 1990 to 2015 with a case study of Xining City.Also,four future land use scenarios were simulated for 2030 using the Future Land Use Simulation(FLUS)model that couples human and natural effects.Our results show a decrease in productive land(PL)and an increase in ecological land(EL)and living land(LL)in Xining City.Forestry ecological land(FEL)covered the top largest proportion;agriculture productive land(APL)showed the greatest reduction and urban and rural living land(U-RLL)presented a dramatic increase.The eco-environmental quality improved in 1990-2010,mainly affected by the conversion of APL to FEL and GEL.However,the encroachment of U-RLL into APL,other ecological land(OEL)and FEL was the main contributor to the decline in eco-environmental quality in 2010-2015 as well as the primary reason for the increase area of lower-quality.The Harmonious Development(HD)-Scenario,characterized by a rational allocation of LL and PL and a better eco-environment,would have implications for planning and monitoring future management of ELPL,and may represent a valuable reference for local policy-makers.

Comparative Study of Eco-city Indicator System in Tianjin-Tangshan Area: A Case Study of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city and Caofeidian Eco-city

On the basis of previous researches on current eco-city indicator system in China, achievements of Caofeidian Eco-city and Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city in the establishment of indicator system were compared, and their differences in indicator construction framework, indicator component ratio and indicator valuation were summarized. It was found through studying the indicator systems that local indicators should stress characteristics of the city on the basis of national standards, and comply with urban construction conditions; and also that indicator system needed balance between macro and micro level, more reasonable value, and further improvement in the construction and management.

Eco-city Planning and Practices from the Perspective of Environmental Performance Evaluation

By reviewing researches on environmental performance evaluation of current eco-city construction, this paper analyzed characteristics and deficiencies of the evaluation methods and index systems, and took Haizhu Eco-city for example to assess the environmental performance of eco-city construction from the perspectives of land, water environment, regional weather, and biodiversity. On this basis, a scientific, objective and feasible evaluation method and index system was basically formed so as to demonstrate the efficiency of eco-city construction, and to provide scientific support for the dynamic adjustment and optimization of eco-city construction.

Analysis on Green Agriculture Policy during the Development of Eco-city in European Countries and the United States and Policy Recommendations

Ecological agriculture is the important industrial foundation for building eco-cities,while green agriculture policy plays an essential role in promoting sustainable development of ecological agriculture. This paper analyzed the relationship between green agriculture policy and developing eco-cities and characteristics of green agriculture policies in European countries and the United States developing ecological cities.Besides,it summarized experience,in hope of providing beneficial reference for China developing eco-cities.

Issues of Eco-agricultural Industrialization for Big Qinling Eco-city Cluster

Firstly,the necessities of ecological agriculture development in Big Qinling Eco-city Cluster were discussed.Then,condition endowment of eco-agricultural industrialization in Big Qinling Eco-city Cluster was analyzed from the aspects of basic conditions and differential endowment of eco-agricultural industrialization.Finally,specific forms and functional orientation of eco-agriculture were pointed out.Countermeasures for the eco-agricultural industrialization in Big Qinling Eco-city Cluster were put forward.Firstly,the government guidance and the media publicity should be strengthened.Secondly,financial support for the eco-agricultural industrialization in Big Qinling Eco-city Cluster should be enhanced.Thirdly,branding strategies of eco-agricultural products in Big Qinling Eco-city Cluster should be implemented as soon as possible.

Calculation and Analysis of Ecological Footprint in Hefei City during the Period 2005-2010

This paper carries out calculation and analysis of various kinds of ecological footprint and 104 yuan GDP in Hefei City during the period 2005-2010,and the results show that in recent years,the industrial economic development in Hefei City is accelerated,people's living standards are improved,and the momentum of urbanization is gathered.At the same time,as the resource utilization rate is increased year by year,the city's economic development has already begun to be resource-intensive.

On the Influence Factors of Second-hand House Prices in First-tier Cities——Empirical Analysis Based on Panel Data

On Index System and Quantitative Assessment of Eco-cities:A Case Study on Urban Agglomeration of the Yangtze Delta

Urban agglomeration of the Yangtze Delta (UAYD), one of the most developed regions of China, has witnessed an increasing prevalence in building ecological cities when the ecological cities are pursued by many modern cities, and great achievements have been made in this regard. It is inevitable, however, that certain problems exist during the construction of ecological city, which include but not limited to non-harmonious development of urban complex ecosystem, and the difficulty in quantifying eco-city construction or incomplete quantification in assessing the construction of present and future eco-city. Based on the analysis on social-economic conditions and regional condi- tions of the UAYD, this paper attempts to set up an index system of eco-cities combining with local characteristics, and to adopt the indices of eco-city, urban harmony, and eco-city colligate to evaluate the ecological level, urban harmonious development and eco-city construction of cities within the UAYD. Results indicate that among 15 cities in UAYD, Suzhou City ranks the highest in terms of eco-city construction, whereas Nantong ranks relatively lower; sustainable eco-city construction is possible only when cities are developed in every respect of harmony.

Clean Production and Ecological Industry:A Key to Eco-city Development

Eco-city development is a healthy process towards sustainable development, within the carrying capacity of local ecosystem through changing production mode, consumption behavior and decision instrument based on ecological economics and system engineering. The key to its planning is an ecological integration to make trade-off between economic wealth and environmental health, between material and spiritual civilization, between natural and human eco-cybernetics. Integration, demonstration, citizens’ participation and scientists’ and technician’s catalyzing are the key instruments for the implementation of the ecocity plan. "Clean production" and "ecological industry" are key elements in comprehensive development towards an eco-city. Beyond the technical and management questions, how to interlink production, consumption and reduction at the local and regional level, the spatial and urban dimension should be considered in order to perform an integrative urban eco-space.

This paper reviews the birth and development of eco-city research by means of historical analysis and literature search. By comparing the research and practice differences between domestic and foreign eco-city construction,it reviews the various indicators and research progress applied in the current eco-city construction in foreign countries. It systematically sorts out the characteristics of eco-city construction practice in China and points out the main problems in the construction of China's eco-city.
