This paper uses the SBM-GML index, which includes non-desired outputs, to measure the trend of regional green economic efficiency changes and analyze the impact mechanism and realization path of industrial transformation on green economic efficiency. The research results show that advanced industrial structure has a positive influence on green economic efficiency nationwide, while energy utilization structure and energy utilization efficiency have positive partial intermediary effects in the influence path;industrial structure rationalization is also significantly positively related to green economic efficiency nationwide, and the mediating effect of energy utilization is positive. The impact of industrial transformation on green economic efficiency has regional heterogeneity, and the mediating effect of energy use also differs. Among them, the impact effect in the eastern region is basically consistent with the national sample, but is negative in the central and western regions. This paper proposes countermeasures in terms of adjusting the industrial structure, improving energy efficiency, and perfecting industrial and energy policies, which can provide theoretical and practical references for promoting the transformation and upgrading of regional industrial structure, optimizing energy utilization, and advancing the efficiency of the national and regional green economy.展开更多

Using the improved Total Owning Cost (TOC) algorithm, based on today 220 kV energy-saving power transformer manufacturing level, the economic benefits of new energy-saving power transformer and the return period of investment are analyzed. Due to the deterioration of serious energy dilemma,energy-conservation and emission–reduction have been the strategic target in the past decades,thus people have identified the vital importance of higher energy effic...Due to the deterioration of serious energy dilemma,energy-conservation and emission–reduction have been the strategic target in the past decades,thus people have identified the vital importance of higher energy efficiency and the influence of lower carbon development.Since work exchange network is a significant part of energy recovery system,its optima design will have dramatically significant effect on energy consumption reduction in chemical process system.With an extension of the developed transshipment model in isothermal process,a novel step-wise methodology for synthesis of direct work exchange network(WEN)in adiabatic process involving heat integration is first proposed in this paper,where a nonlinear programming(NLP)model is formulated by regarding the minimum utility consumption as objective function and optimizing the initial WEN in accordance with the presented matching rules to get the optimized WEN configuration at first.Furthermore,we focus on the work exchange network synthesis with heat integration to attain the minimal total annual cost(TAC)with the introduction of heat-exchange equipment that is achieved by the following strategies in sequence:introducing heat-exchange equipment directly,adjusting the work quantity of the adjacent utility compressors or expanders,and approximating upper/lower pressure limits consequently to obtain considerable cost savings of expanders or compressors and work utility.Finally,a case taken from the literature is studied to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多

In the traditional condition assessment method, due to the characteristics of the transformer’s complex structure, the assessment system is not comprehensive enough, or the assessment system is too complex, the indexes are not easy to quantify, such problems are emerging. The traditional method is complex and the degree of quantification is not enough. Therefore it is necessary to propose a condition assessment method that is easy to carry out the condition assessment work and does not affect the assessment results. In this paper, we propose a method to assess the state of the transformer’s complex structure. First, we establish a comprehensive assessment system, then apply the method of principal component analysis to optimize the index system, and then use the theory of cloud-matter-element. In the Anthropocene era,human activities have become increasingly complex and diversified.The natural ecosystems need higher ecological resilience to ensure regional sustainable development due to rapid urbanization a...In the Anthropocene era,human activities have become increasingly complex and diversified.The natural ecosystems need higher ecological resilience to ensure regional sustainable development due to rapid urbanization and industrialization as well as other intensified human activities,especially in arid and semi-arid areas.In the study,we chose the economic belt on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains(EBNSTM)in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China as a case study.By collecting geographic data and statistical data from 2010 and 2020,we constructed an ecological resilience assessment model based on the ecosystem habitat quality(EHQ),ecosystem landscape stability(ELS),and ecosystem service value(ESV).Further,we analyzed the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of ecological resilience in the EBNSTM from 2010 to 2020 by spatial autocorrelation analysis,and explored its responses to climate change and human activities using the geographically weighted regression(GWR)model.The results showed that the ecological resilience of the EBNSTM was at a low level and increased from 0.2732 to 0.2773 during 2010–2020.The spatial autocorrelation analysis of ecological resilience exhibited a spatial heterogeneity characteristic of"high in the western region and low in the eastern region",and the spatial clustering trend was enhanced during the study period.Desert,Gobi and rapidly urbanized areas showed low level of ecological resilience,and oasis and mountain areas exhibited high level of ecological resilience.Climate factors had an important impact on ecological resilience.Specifically,average annual temperature and annual precipitation were the key climate factors that improved ecological resilience,while average annual evapotranspiration was the main factor that blocked ecological resilience.Among the human activity factors,the distance from the main road showed a negative correlation with ecological resilience.Both night light index and PM2.5 concentration were negatively correlated with ecological resilience in the areas with better ecological conditions,whereas in the areas with poorer ecological conditions,the correlations were positive.The research findings could provide a scientific reference for protecting the ecological environment and promoting the harmony and stability of the human-land relationship in arid and semi-arid areas.展开更多
We explore the impacts of economic and financial dislocations caused by COVID-19 pandemic shocks on food sales in the United States from January 2020 to January 2021.We use the US weekly economic index(WEI)to measure ...We explore the impacts of economic and financial dislocations caused by COVID-19 pandemic shocks on food sales in the United States from January 2020 to January 2021.We use the US weekly economic index(WEI)to measure economic dislocations and the Chicago Board Options Exchange volatility index(VIX)to capture the broader stock market dislocations.We validate the NARDL model by testing a battery of models using the autoregressive distributed lags(ARDL)methodology(ARDL,NARDL,and QARDL specifications).Our study postulates that an increase in WEI has a significant negative long-term effect on food sales,whereas a decrease in WEI has no statistically significant(long-run)effect.Thus,policy responses that ignore asymmetric effects and hidden cointegration may fail to promote food security during pandemics.展开更多
The exchanges between cities and counties in the northern slope economic belt of Tianshan Mountains(NSEBTM)are increasingly frequent and the economic linkages are increasingly close,but the spatial distribution of eco...The exchanges between cities and counties in the northern slope economic belt of Tianshan Mountains(NSEBTM)are increasingly frequent and the economic linkages are increasingly close,but the spatial distribution of economic development and linkages among the cities and counties within NSEBTM is uneven.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the evolution of spatial-temporal pattern of the economic linkage network of cities and counties on NSEBTM to promote the coordinated and integrated development of the regional economy on NSEBTM.In this study,we used the modified gravity model and social network analysis method to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the economic linkage network structure of cities and counties on NSEBTM in 2000,2010,and 2020.The results showed that the comprehensive development quality level of cities and counties on NSEBTM increased from 2000 to 2020,its growth rate also increased,and its gap between cities and counties continued expanding.Both the spatial distribution patterns of the comprehensive development quality level of cities and counties on NSEBTM in 2000 and 2010 were presented as“high in the middle and low at both ends”,while the spatial distribution pattern of 2020 was exhibited as“high value and low value staggered”.The total amount of external economic linkages of cities and counties on NSEBTM showed an obvious upward trend,and its gap between cities and counties continued expanding,presenting a pattern of“a strong middle section and weak ends”.The direction of economic linkages of NSEBTM existed obvious central orientation and geographical proximity.The density of economic linkage network of NSEBTM increased from 2000 to 2020,and the structure of economic linkage network changed from single-core structure centered with Urumqi City to multicore structure centered with Urumqi City,Karamay City,Shihezi City,and Changji City,shifting from unbalanced development to balanced development.In the future,we should accelerate the construction of urban agglomeration on NSEBTM,cultivate a modern Urumqi metropolitan area,improve comprehensive development quality of the cities and counties at the eastern and western ends,strengthen the intensity of economic linkages between cities and counties,optimize the economic linkage network,and promote the coordinated and integrated development of regional economy.展开更多
Data from the Commercial Registry of the Mato Grosso State(JUCEMAT)indicate that the number of bankrupted industries exceeded 16 thousand between 2006 and 2016.This is a high number,to the point of questioning which p...Data from the Commercial Registry of the Mato Grosso State(JUCEMAT)indicate that the number of bankrupted industries exceeded 16 thousand between 2006 and 2016.This is a high number,to the point of questioning which particularities are related with the economic bankruptcy in the State.The objective of this study is precisely to analyse the profile of these industries that closed their activities in Mato Grosso,considering the estimated survival rate for the extraction and transformation segments.Also,based on the underlying indicators of factor analysis,the crucial factors for the economic bankruptcy of micro and small enterprises in the state are delineated.The main results point to the generalized consequences arising from the main economic crises,with more aggressive effects for the microenterprises of sand,gravel,and cobble extraction.Aggravated problems included also the food and logging industries,the main activities of the local economy,with more pronounced impacts in the South,Southeast,North and Central-North regions of Mato Grosso.The survival rate declined considerably between 2006 and 2008 and,despite recovery in the following period,it has not yet recovered its best performance.In the case of micro and small transformation industries,the results point to a group with limited managerial capacity and lack of strategic planning before the execution of the main stages of production and commercialization.展开更多

Such systems are used in a wide variety of domains, su...Safety Critical Systems (SCS) are those systems that may cause harm to the user(s) and/or the environment if operating outside of their prescribed specifications. Such systems are used in a wide variety of domains, such as aerospace, automotive, railway transportation and healthcare. In this paper, we propose an approach to integrate safety analysis of SCSs within the Model Driven Engineering (MDE) system development process. The approach is based on model transformation and uses standard well-known techniques and open source tools for the modeling and analysis of SCSs. More specifically, the system modeled with the OMG’s standard systems modeling language, SysML, is automatically transformed in Fault Tree (FT) models, that can be analyzed with existing FT tools. The proposed model transformation takes place in two steps: a) generate FTs at the component level, in order to tackle complexity and enable reuse;and b) generate system level FTs by composing the components and their FTs. In that way, infrastructure and economic environment play an important role in expanding trade by reducing trade costs. This paper examines the role of infrastructure and the economic environment on Ivory Coast intra-regional trade. The study performs a transformed and advanced gravity model, using panel data over the period 1996 to 2013, modelling exports of Ivory Coast. The analysis shows experts towards the other member states of West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) depend significantly on the availability of transport and communication infrastructures developed as well as variables such as Gross Domestic Product growth, economic similarity within countries, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) net inflows in Ivory Coast. Estimations point out that indeed, the level of economic growth in the other member countries, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) net inflows in Ivory Coast, the number of mobile phone subscribers per 100 inhabitants in Ivory Coast and the proportion of paved roads, have a positive impact on Ivory Coast intra-regional trade.展开更多

This study investigates the viability for Uni...As university campuses look to decrease their greenhouse gas emissions, plug-in electric buses may provide a low carbon alternative to conventionally fossil-powered buses. This study investigates the viability for Unitrans, the bus service for the greater Davis area and the university campus, to replace current compressed natural gas buses with plug-in electric versions. This study presents an inventory of market available electric buses, their associated costs, incentives, and infrastructure concerns, and compares projected energy use, net present cost, and greenhouse gas emissions with their CNG counterparts. ADVISOR vehicle simulation software is used to estimate the energy use of a typical electric bus (New Flyer Xcelsior XE40 300 kW) and compare to the current CNG model (Orion V) along an actual Unitrans route. The model estimates that the selected bus can travel 146 miles on a single charge, with a fuel economy of 1.75 kWh per mile, which meets the service requirements. Results for bus replacement schedules between 5 and 49 in the 12-year analysis period indicate that between 1600 and 22,000 MT of carbon can be avoided. The net present cost analysis indicates that the potential savings from the replacement of a single CNG bus with an electric bus (with available incentives) ranges from $146,000 - $211,000 per bus over its lifetime, depending on infrastructure costs.展开更多
A state/event fault tree(SEFT)is a modeling technique for describing the causal chains of events leading to failure in software-controlled complex systems.Such systems are ubiquitous in all areas of everyday life,and ...A state/event fault tree(SEFT)is a modeling technique for describing the causal chains of events leading to failure in software-controlled complex systems.Such systems are ubiquitous in all areas of everyday life,and safety and reliability analyses are increasingly required for these systems.SEFTs combine elements from the traditional fault tree with elements from state-based techniques.In the context of the real-time safety-critical systems,SEFTs do not describe the time properties and important timedependent system behaviors that can lead to system failures.Further,SEFTs lack the precise semantics required for formally modeling time behaviors.In this paper,we present a qualitative analysis method for SEFTs based on transformation from SEFT to timed automata(TA),and use the model checker UPPAAL to verify system requirements’properties.The combination of SEFT and TA is an important step towards an integrated design and verification process for real-time safety-critical systems.Finally,we present a case study of a powerboat autopilot system to confirm our method is viable and valid after achieving the verification goal step by step.展开更多

From the continuous cooling transformation results, comparisons of the start temperature of austenite-ferrite transformation among three models were analyzed, and the optimal lnk and n, which are the parameters in the Avrami equation, were determined by applying two regression models at different cooling rates. The transformation kinetics during continuous cooling was determined. Furthermore, reasonable agreements between experimental results and predictions were obtained, which can demonstrate the rationality of the established models.展开更多

In the traditional condition assessment method, due to the characteristics of the transformer’s complex structure, the assessment system is not comprehensive enough, or the assessment system is too complex, the indexes are not easy to quantify, such problems are emerging. The traditional method is complex and the degree of quantification is not enough. Therefore it is necessary to propose a condition assessment method that is easy to carry out the condition assessment work and does not affect the assessment results. In this paper, we propose a method to assess the state of the transformer’s complex structure. First, we establish a comprehensive assessment system, then apply the method of principal component analysis to optimize the index system, and then use the theory of cloud-matter-element. Finally the reliability and rationality of the method are verified by an example.

文摘In the Anthropocene era,human activities have become increasingly complex and diversified.The natural ecosystems need higher ecological resilience to ensure regional sustainable development due to rapid urbanization and industrialization as well as other intensified human activities,especially in arid and semi-arid areas.In the study,we chose the economic belt on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains(EBNSTM)in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China as a case study.By collecting geographic data and statistical data from 2010 and 2020,we constructed an ecological resilience assessment model based on the ecosystem habitat quality(EHQ),ecosystem landscape stability(ELS),and ecosystem service value(ESV).Further,we analyzed the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of ecological resilience in the EBNSTM from 2010 to 2020 by spatial autocorrelation analysis,and explored its responses to climate change and human activities using the geographically weighted regression(GWR)model.The results showed that the ecological resilience of the EBNSTM was at a low level and increased from 0.2732 to 0.2773 during 2010–2020.The spatial autocorrelation analysis of ecological resilience exhibited a spatial heterogeneity characteristic of"high in the western region and low in the eastern region",and the spatial clustering trend was enhanced during the study period.Desert,Gobi and rapidly urbanized areas showed low level of ecological resilience,and oasis and mountain areas exhibited high level of ecological resilience.Climate factors had an important impact on ecological resilience.Specifically,average annual temperature and annual precipitation were the key climate factors that improved ecological resilience,while average annual evapotranspiration was the main factor that blocked ecological resilience.Among the human activity factors,the distance from the main road showed a negative correlation with ecological resilience.Both night light index and PM2.5 concentration were negatively correlated with ecological resilience in the areas with better ecological conditions,whereas in the areas with poorer ecological conditions,the correlations were positive.The research findings could provide a scientific reference for protecting the ecological environment and promoting the harmony and stability of the human-land relationship in arid and semi-arid areas.

文摘We explore the impacts of economic and financial dislocations caused by COVID-19 pandemic shocks on food sales in the United States from January 2020 to January 2021.We use the US weekly economic index(WEI)to measure economic dislocations and the Chicago Board Options Exchange volatility index(VIX)to capture the broader stock market dislocations.We validate the NARDL model by testing a battery of models using the autoregressive distributed lags(ARDL)methodology(ARDL,NARDL,and QARDL specifications).Our study postulates that an increase in WEI has a significant negative long-term effect on food sales,whereas a decrease in WEI has no statistically significant(long-run)effect.Thus,policy responses that ignore asymmetric effects and hidden cointegration may fail to promote food security during pandemics.

文摘The exchanges between cities and counties in the northern slope economic belt of Tianshan Mountains(NSEBTM)are increasingly frequent and the economic linkages are increasingly close,but the spatial distribution of economic development and linkages among the cities and counties within NSEBTM is uneven.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the evolution of spatial-temporal pattern of the economic linkage network of cities and counties on NSEBTM to promote the coordinated and integrated development of the regional economy on NSEBTM.In this study,we used the modified gravity model and social network analysis method to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the economic linkage network structure of cities and counties on NSEBTM in 2000,2010,and 2020.The results showed that the comprehensive development quality level of cities and counties on NSEBTM increased from 2000 to 2020,its growth rate also increased,and its gap between cities and counties continued expanding.Both the spatial distribution patterns of the comprehensive development quality level of cities and counties on NSEBTM in 2000 and 2010 were presented as“high in the middle and low at both ends”,while the spatial distribution pattern of 2020 was exhibited as“high value and low value staggered”.The total amount of external economic linkages of cities and counties on NSEBTM showed an obvious upward trend,and its gap between cities and counties continued expanding,presenting a pattern of“a strong middle section and weak ends”.The direction of economic linkages of NSEBTM existed obvious central orientation and geographical proximity.The density of economic linkage network of NSEBTM increased from 2000 to 2020,and the structure of economic linkage network changed from single-core structure centered with Urumqi City to multicore structure centered with Urumqi City,Karamay City,Shihezi City,and Changji City,shifting from unbalanced development to balanced development.In the future,we should accelerate the construction of urban agglomeration on NSEBTM,cultivate a modern Urumqi metropolitan area,improve comprehensive development quality of the cities and counties at the eastern and western ends,strengthen the intensity of economic linkages between cities and counties,optimize the economic linkage network,and promote the coordinated and integrated development of regional economy.
文摘Data from the Commercial Registry of the Mato Grosso State(JUCEMAT)indicate that the number of bankrupted industries exceeded 16 thousand between 2006 and 2016.This is a high number,to the point of questioning which particularities are related with the economic bankruptcy in the State.The objective of this study is precisely to analyse the profile of these industries that closed their activities in Mato Grosso,considering the estimated survival rate for the extraction and transformation segments.Also,based on the underlying indicators of factor analysis,the crucial factors for the economic bankruptcy of micro and small enterprises in the state are delineated.The main results point to the generalized consequences arising from the main economic crises,with more aggressive effects for the microenterprises of sand,gravel,and cobble extraction.Aggravated problems included also the food and logging industries,the main activities of the local economy,with more pronounced impacts in the South,Southeast,North and Central-North regions of Mato Grosso.The survival rate declined considerably between 2006 and 2008 and,despite recovery in the following period,it has not yet recovered its best performance.In the case of micro and small transformation industries,the results point to a group with limited managerial capacity and lack of strategic planning before the execution of the main stages of production and commercialization.

文摘In this paper,the authors have made the following findings after the fitting of China's economic growth rate series using an improved STR model:since 1949,great changes have taken place in China's economic growth pattern but factor input remains to be the major source of China's economic growth,as reflected by the extensive pattern of economic growth;with the exception of capital,the marginal output of all other production factors has been on the increase,which suggests that the efficiency of China's factor allocation has been continuously improved;the marginal output of capital has been on the decline,which explains that the dependency on investment for economic growth has led to excessive investment;reform and opening up and reform of marketization have substantially increased the sustainability of China's economic growth.In addition,the authors have investigated the internal momentum of China's growth transformation and developed relevant policy recommendations.
文摘Safety Critical Systems (SCS) are those systems that may cause harm to the user(s) and/or the environment if operating outside of their prescribed specifications. Such systems are used in a wide variety of domains, such as aerospace, automotive, railway transportation and healthcare. In this paper, we propose an approach to integrate safety analysis of SCSs within the Model Driven Engineering (MDE) system development process. The approach is based on model transformation and uses standard well-known techniques and open source tools for the modeling and analysis of SCSs. More specifically, the system modeled with the OMG’s standard systems modeling language, SysML, is automatically transformed in Fault Tree (FT) models, that can be analyzed with existing FT tools. The proposed model transformation takes place in two steps: a) generate FTs at the component level, in order to tackle complexity and enable reuse;and b) generate system level FTs by composing the components and their FTs. The approach is illustrated by applying it to a simplified industry-inspired case study.
文摘Intra-regional trade dynamic can foster economic integration with a contribution of the lead economy. In that way, infrastructure and economic environment play an important role in expanding trade by reducing trade costs. This paper examines the role of infrastructure and the economic environment on Ivory Coast intra-regional trade. The study performs a transformed and advanced gravity model, using panel data over the period 1996 to 2013, modelling exports of Ivory Coast. The analysis shows experts towards the other member states of West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) depend significantly on the availability of transport and communication infrastructures developed as well as variables such as Gross Domestic Product growth, economic similarity within countries, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) net inflows in Ivory Coast. Estimations point out that indeed, the level of economic growth in the other member countries, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) net inflows in Ivory Coast, the number of mobile phone subscribers per 100 inhabitants in Ivory Coast and the proportion of paved roads, have a positive impact on Ivory Coast intra-regional trade.

文摘As university campuses look to decrease their greenhouse gas emissions, plug-in electric buses may provide a low carbon alternative to conventionally fossil-powered buses. This study investigates the viability for Unitrans, the bus service for the greater Davis area and the university campus, to replace current compressed natural gas buses with plug-in electric versions. This study presents an inventory of market available electric buses, their associated costs, incentives, and infrastructure concerns, and compares projected energy use, net present cost, and greenhouse gas emissions with their CNG counterparts. ADVISOR vehicle simulation software is used to estimate the energy use of a typical electric bus (New Flyer Xcelsior XE40 300 kW) and compare to the current CNG model (Orion V) along an actual Unitrans route. The model estimates that the selected bus can travel 146 miles on a single charge, with a fuel economy of 1.75 kWh per mile, which meets the service requirements. Results for bus replacement schedules between 5 and 49 in the 12-year analysis period indicate that between 1600 and 22,000 MT of carbon can be avoided. The net present cost analysis indicates that the potential savings from the replacement of a single CNG bus with an electric bus (with available incentives) ranges from $146,000 - $211,000 per bus over its lifetime, depending on infrastructure costs.

文摘A state/event fault tree(SEFT)is a modeling technique for describing the causal chains of events leading to failure in software-controlled complex systems.Such systems are ubiquitous in all areas of everyday life,and safety and reliability analyses are increasingly required for these systems.SEFTs combine elements from the traditional fault tree with elements from state-based techniques.In the context of the real-time safety-critical systems,SEFTs do not describe the time properties and important timedependent system behaviors that can lead to system failures.Further,SEFTs lack the precise semantics required for formally modeling time behaviors.In this paper,we present a qualitative analysis method for SEFTs based on transformation from SEFT to timed automata(TA),and use the model checker UPPAAL to verify system requirements’properties.The combination of SEFT and TA is an important step towards an integrated design and verification process for real-time safety-critical systems.Finally,we present a case study of a powerboat autopilot system to confirm our method is viable and valid after achieving the verification goal step by step.
文摘Based on experimental results, the transformation kinetics and cooling characteristics of low-carbon steel were analyzed and modeled to quantitatively link the operational parameters of a process with the properties. From the continuous cooling transformation results, comparisons of the start temperature of austenite-ferrite transformation among three models were analyzed, and the optimal lnk and n, which are the parameters in the Avrami equation, were determined by applying two regression models at different cooling rates. The transformation kinetics during continuous cooling was determined. Furthermore, reasonable agreements between experimental results and predictions were obtained, which can demonstrate the rationality of the established models.
