Exploration on the Long-term Education System of Software Engineering

It is a challenge to cultivate senior and comprehensive talents in software engineering.To promote the quality of software engineering education,this paper proposes a new education model of long-term education system and combines Bachelor-Master degree program by mirroring the experience of higher engineering education in the world and integrating with the current situation of universities and industries in China.The proposed model joins the higher degree education with vocational education by carrying out the interdisciplinary and university-enterprise joint education.The demonstration shows that this education model has its necessity and feasibility in China higher education,and provides a reference to improve the education quality for the higher engineering education in China.

Research on the Path of Digital Transformation of Postgraduate Education in Chinese Universities under the Background of Digital Education Strategy

Digital transformation of education is an important strategic content of information construction in Chinese universities in recent years. Postgraduate education is characterized by many types of postgraduates, complex training links, long training process, and obvious individuation. Its information construction and digital transformation are the difficulties in the construction of smart campus in colleges and universities. This paper discusses the current situation and main problems of postgraduate education informatization in colleges and universities, and puts forward the key points and suggestions of digital transformation of postgraduate education in colleges and universities from the aspects of optimizing the information platform of postgraduate education management and service, driving the modernization and wisdom of postgraduate education with data, constructing the integrated platform of intelligent teaching, and continuously improving the digital literacy of teachers and students.

Practice and Exploration of Ideological and Political Education for Postgraduate Students Under the Mentor Responsibility System

This study aims to address the problems existing in the ideological and political education of postgraduate students,and combines the implementation of the mentor responsibility system to explore the role orientation,work content,and practical effects of mentors in the ideological and political education of postgraduate students.Through questionnaire surveys,interviews,and other research methods,the current situation of ideological and political education of postgraduate students under the mentor responsibility system is analyzed,and corresponding optimization strategies are proposed.

Analysis and Suggestions of the Satisfaction of Postgraduate Education in Engineering Universities —Take Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai) for Example

Accelerating the development of students is the basic goal of postgraduate talent cultivation.The final research results,employment situation and satisfaction of postgraduate students with school education are more important indicators of the quality of talent cultivation in a university.For having a deeper understanding of the satisfaction of postgraduates in Harbin Institute of Technology(Weihai)in terms of motivation,tutor situation,management service and employment situation,a questionnaire survey was conducted on postgraduates.The survey results show that the overall satisfaction of postgraduates is high.In terms of studying motivation,most postgraduates think that their majors are more related to employment;in terms of professors,most of them can get along well with their professors and learn from the advantages of their professors;in terms of school management,they respond well to the"library",but think that the"dormitory"and"canteen"need further improvement;in terms of employment,most of postgraduates choose to be employed,while a few of them choose to further their studies,most of which have applied to study in domestic or foreign universities.

Integrated Practice of Cultivating Innovative Ability and Ideological Education for Graduate Students of Materials Science Major

Aiming at the problem of weak integration of innovation ability and ideological education of postgraduates in materials major,this paper explores postgraduates’cultivation work under the support of Liaocheng University.It is found that the cultivation of the innovation ability of postgraduates in materials can be the realization path and sublimation carrier of ideological education,ideological education can provide spiritual support and methodological guidance for the former,and the organic integration of the two is feasible.Constructing the fit relationship between innovation ability and ideological education,institutionalizing tutor guidance,establishing tutor+counselor+professional teacher communication mechanism,and taking disciplinary competitions as a handhold can achieve the integration of innovation ability cultivation and ideological education of graduate students in materials major.

Objective Assessment in Continual Medical Education (CME) Medical Objective Assessment in System Control

Existing examinations in postgraduate education and continuing medical education (CME) are not perfect. Modern assessment does not reflect disadvantages of older responders, for whom more time for reply is needed. Specialists with wide clinical experience may choose more than one correct answer in alternative questions. Reduced ability to remember in older people restricts examination without additional sources of information. We offer an individualised system for testing doctors. It provides personalised choice of examination questions using multiple choice questions with weight characteristics and absence of distractors, interactive cooperation in case of negative answers and the final decision of an expert in relation to the person tested. A special algorithm is proposed for typical questions that combines the advantages of known approaches to testing. The questioning system is complex for the creators of tests, but is more convenient and objective than existing ones for medical doctors.

Developing a curriculum model of English teaching for master's degree nursing education in a Chinese medicine university

Objective:English for Specific Purpose(ESP)is the essence for developing scientific research capacity,which is a core component for postgraduate education.The objective of this article is to develop a curriculum model for ESP of Master's level nursing education in a Chinese medicine university.Method:A three-year action research approach with continuous reflection and modification was used to develop an ESP curriculum based on the RICH model.A total of 78 students of Master's Science in Nursing enrolled in 2016-2018 and three course teachers in Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine participated in the study.The ESP curriculum based on the RICH model involved research-based learning topics(R),integrated curriculum(Ⅰ),cooperative learning methods(C),and humanistic outcome(H).Results:The passing rate of the students was 100%,the excellent rate was 79.5%,with an average score of 83.16±3.43.All students were satisfied with the ESP course design and acknowledged the process of"growing up under the pressure".Four students have published five articles in the journals included by Science Citation Index(SCI).Conclusions:The study exerted a positive effect on the ESP teaching and learning and provided new ideas for the ESP curriculum integration of Master's Science in Nursing in China.

Exploration of Digital Transformation Schema for Professional Degree Postgraduate Training

Professional degree postgraduate education is the strategic focus of the reform and development of postgraduate education in China, and the digital transformation of education is also the strategic theme of the reform and development of education in China. This paper analyzes the current situation of informatization of professional degree postgraduate training in China, and puts forward the construction scheme of digital comprehensive service platform for professional degree postgraduate education and teaching based on the actual situation of China University of Geosciences (Beijing). It focuses on three aspects: postgraduate education information management, intelligent online teaching and teachers’ digital literacy improvement. The article also discusses the significance of the digital ecology of the education industry and the entire country for the evaluation of the cultivation of professional degree postgraduates in colleges and universities.

The Role of Social Capital/Guanxi in Students’Decision-Making about Postgraduate Education in China:An Explorative Case Study

This paper explores how the concept of social capital developed by Bourdieu and Coleman as well as the Chinese concept of guanxi(关系)or relationships facilitates students’access to postgraduate education in a case study of a university in southeast China.The study comprises an initial survey of 381 first-year postgraduate students and a series of interviews with 30 participants.Social capital and guanxi inform analysis of the data.The results reveal that students from different social backgrounds employ different forms of social capital and guanxi networks in their decision-making about postgraduate education.They contribute to conceptualizations of how social capital is generated through guanxi in the Chinese educational context.

Challenges and Coping Strategies Adopted by Postgraduate Students of Agricultural Education in Thesis Writing in Nigerian Universities

The study investigated challenges encountered and coping strategies adopted by postgraduate students of agricultural education in writing thesis in Nigerian universities. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. The study was conducted in Nigerian universities offering post-graduate programme in agricultural education. The population for the study was 118 made up of 14 postgraduate diploma, 66 masters and 38 doctoral students writing thesis in agricultural education. The entire population was involved in the study. An instrument tilted: Challenges and Coping Strategies Questionnaire (CCSQ) was used for data collection. Three experts validated the questionnaire. Cronbach alpha reliability method was used to determine the internal consistency of the questionnaire. A reliability coefficient of 0.85 was obtained. A total of 97 copies of the questionnaire were returned representing 93 percent return rate. Data collected for the study were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions while Analysis of Variance was used to test hypothesis of no significant difference at P ≤ 0.05 level of significance. The statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) was the tool employed to analyze the data collected. It was found out that 28 challenges were encountered by postgraduate students of agricultural education in thesis writing while 15 coping strategies were adopted by postgraduate students of agricultural education in thesis writing. The recommendations were that postgraduate students of agricultural education who have abandoned their thesis writing should adopt the identified coping strategies to complete their programme among others.

The Guangdong Mode of Integration of Science-Education and Industry-Education for Postgraduates in Engineering

Based on the theory of collaborative innovation and the triple helix theory combined with the needs for innovative development in the modern manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province,the construction of open bases as education carriers by the governments was explored in terms of implement joint training for postgraduates in engineering through the integration of science-education and industry-education,to improve the practical innovation ability of postgraduates in engineering.The integration training mode has significantly improved the effectiveness of collaborative education and innovation,and it has become an important talent and intellectual support for Guangdong’s modern manufacturing industry.It has further advanced the theory and practice of joint training conducted by governments,industries,universities,and scientific research institutes.

Global health education in U.K. universities

Background:The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has led to a paradigm shift in global health,casting a previously niche academic discipline into a headline dominating field of research.However,accurate information on the delivery of global health education(GHE)at a university level is lacking.This study aims to assess current GIIE practices in U.K.universities,by identifying the availability of dedicated global health qualifications,as well as the breadth of inclusion of GHE topics across university course content.Methods:Universities selected were the top 25 recipients of MRC funding in 2015-2016,as well as universi­ties who were included in previous iterations of the“Global Health League Table”.We used the Consortium of Universities for Global Health“GHE Competencies Toolkit”to identify the presence of global health content across university global health and other course offerings.Universities were additionally judged on opportunities available in global health and on the presence of sustainable partnerships.Results:Our results showed that 20 universities(74%)offer a post-graduate global health related course,with 9(33%)offering an undergraduate global health related course.13(48%)were identified as centers of global health excellence.Just 12(44%)universities had registered sustainable partnerships with Tropical Health and Education Trust.The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine was identified as the top deliverer of GHE,with the Universities of Leicester and the Universities of Exeter joint bottom.We were unable to standardize quality assessments in this iteration of the project,but the release of student feedback to future assessors would help to improve the reliability of this study methodology.Additionally,much of our data was based on information available online,and thus some aspects of degree courses not published publicly may not have been accounted for in our scoring.Conclusion:Those institutions wishing to improve their delivery of GHE should consider the establishment of a postgraduate or undergraduate degree course.Breadth of global health content across curricular was a major discriminating factor between institutions,and we would advise universities to consider including more global health topics across their curricular-especially in light of the intersectional impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chinese nursing postgraduates'views on implementing outcome-oriented academic English course:a descriptive study

Background:According to previous studies on professional English course teaching,the evaluation of course teaching was positive,but the vast majorities focus on medical English literature reading,professional English vocabulary,and professional English translation.As an alternative,the course design based on academic learning needs under the outcome-oriented education/model emphasizes the improvement of students'comprehensive ability in oral expression,literature reading,writing,and academic communication.Objectives:The objective of this study was to analyze nursing postgraduates'opinions on learning the outcome-oriented academic English course.Methods:This is a cross-sectional descriptive study.A total of 150 first-year nursing postgraduates enrolled in the“Academic Professional English for Nursing Postgraduates”course.After completing the course learning,students scanned QR codes generated by the online questionnaire and completed it anonymously within 48 h.Results:The students who participated in this course strongly believed that it“helped them strengthen their English speakability”(4.8 points),“made them more confident to participate in international academic conferences and exchanges in the future”(4.8 points),and“helped them apply English more in the nursing professional field in the future”(4.7 points).Conclusions:The implementation of outcome-oriented course teaching helps students to understand the research of foreign scholars and effectively express their own research content with English as a tool.It motivates them to continuously use English for professional and academic communication.

针灸推拿学作为中医学的一门传统优势学科,国家和社会对其创新型研究人才的需求日益迫切。文章分析了目前针灸推拿学专业研究生创新能力的培养现状,从师和生共创的两个角度探讨应对策略,旨在深化针灸推拿学专业研究生教育改革,提高本专业研究生培养质量,培养符合时代特征的、素质全面的针灸推拿学创新型研究人才。

研究生自主学习、交际沟通能力与学业表现的影响研究

硕士研究生阶段十分强调学生的自主学习,要求学习者保持积极的学习心态,做到学习自律,以达到预期的学习目标。然而,硕士研究生的学习意愿、学习自律容易受到各种因素的影响。该文主要研究硕士研究生交际沟通能力、自主学习共同对学业的影响。研究发现,硕士研究生的交际沟通能力对自主学习具有促进作用,强化硕士研究生的努力程度,进而提升学业成就,特别是在学习团队中发挥重要作用。此外,研究还发现,研究生参与社会实践有助于强化自主学习意愿。因此,研究生教育应当培养学生的交际沟通能力、增加学生社会实践和优化研究生学业评价,从而提高研究生教育的质量。

推动研究生教育强国建设 加快拔尖创新人才培养——第七届全国研究生教育学学科建设高端论坛综述

2023年11月10日,第七届全国研究生教育学学科建设理论与实践高端论坛在云南省昆明市召开。本届论坛以“研究生教育强国建设与拔尖创新人才培养”为主题,围绕“研究生教育强国的制度建设”“交叉学科、跨学科与多学科”“创新人才培养”“产教融合与高层次应用型人才培养”四个议题展开讨论。与会专家学者经过研讨认为,应持续深化研究生教育综合改革,推动研究生教育强国制度创新,加强研究生教育治理体系现代化建设,促进学科交叉融合和跨学科研究,大力发展专业学位与研究生教育,以产教深度融合助推高层次应用型人才培养,加快建设新时代中国特色高质量研究生教育发展体系。

新工科视域下机械类专业学位研究生创新能力提升研究

研究生作为高层次人才,其创新能力的提升在我国装备制造业发展的过程中起着举足轻重的作用。当前,我国研究生招生规模日益扩大,但是在数量大幅增长的同时,也出现研究生培养质量难以完全满足社会需求的问题。该文基于新工科的基本理念,从课程体系建设、“多师制”培养模式构建、联合培养基地建设等几方面入手进行机械类专业研究生创新能力提升探索。通过近年研究生培养的结果,表明提出的方法对提升研究生创新能力具有较明显的促进作用。后续可根据专业特点推广至其他相关专业,可为提升研究生创新能力提供参考。

基于“学科-科教-产教”多维融合的能源动力拔尖创新人才培养模式探索与实践

在我国“双碳”战略和能源战略的指导下,能源动力类别研究生培养尤为重要。而目前我国能源动力类别研究生培养所面临的主要问题是能源动力类别研究生培养模式与新时代拔尖创新人才要求不匹配,主要问题包括学科背景单一,课程体系陈旧;教学内容陈旧,知识体系不新;实践能力不强,实践环节薄弱。该文针对上述三方面问题开展研究,提出“学科-科教-产教”融合的多维融合思想,构建创新型能源动力类别研究生培养模式,该模式有助于将能源动力类别研究生培养成为新时代拔尖创新人才,满足新时代的迫切需要。该文所提出的思想和培养模式对于能源动力类别研究生培养具有重要的参考价值。

面向能源环境领域研究生育人生态构建与实践——以山西大学能源环境学科群教育教学改革为例

基于教育生态理论,立足山西能源大省的产业特色,山西大学发挥综合类大学能源环境领域多学科优势,提出“能力为基、创新为本、服务需求、回归工程”的研究生教育理念,组建由能源动力、环境工程、控制工程等学科构成的学科群,形成学缘结构互补的导师团队,开展教育教学改革。通过整合多方资源,搭建贯通政产学研用的载体,探索出“学生中心、四方联动、平台支撑、四位一体”的研究生育人生态,打造了服务产业升级和区域经济转型的政产学用的县域“襄垣模式”和产学研用的“大地模式”,培育了一批适应产业发展的复合创新型人才,社会影响广泛深远。这一育人生态不仅为资源型经济转型发展提供了人才支持,也为地方高校“政产学研用”共融提供了示范样本。
