Patient education is defined as the process of influencing a patient’s behavior and helping them make the necessary changes to their knowledge, attitudes, and skills to maintain or improve their health. It is a crucial part of patient care, and the EHS ambulatory care healthcare system is giving patient education more importance. Many experts claim that nurses still have difficulties providing patient education because of a range of factors, which include a lack of expertise and numerous other obstacles. Moreover, there isn’t any published research that studies nurses’ attitudes, knowledge, and patient-teaching practices in primary healthcare in the United Arab Emirates. The research project aims to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and practice of patient teaching among nurses in primary health care centers to better understand how nurse knowledge and attitudes may affect nurse-performed patient education. The target population is nurses working in primary healthcare centers in Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai, Ras Al-Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. However, the sample size is 300 using a random cluster sampling technique. The participants were encouraged to take part in the study (KAPPTNQ) through an online survey. The study concludes that the majority of nurses are knowledgeable about patient education;a large proportion of the nurses have a positive attitude toward patient education;and the majority of the nurses have a positive practice of patient education. However, the major challenges nurses encounter with patients’ health teaching include language barriers, inadequate communication, ineffective time management, and cultural impacts on patient health education. . 展开更多

Journalism education and the journalism industry have boomed in the past twenty years in China, however, journalism school graduates are not highly welcomed by media organizations. In order to examine issues and challenges facing journalism education, this study conducted an in-depth interview with practicing journalists and journalism educators through a lens of journalistic professionalism. This paper finds that their perceptions are focusing on expertise, commitment, responsibility but eschewing journalistic autonomy deliberately with respect to journalistic professionalism and concentrating on rigid journalism knowledge without "professional" or practical ability with respect to journalism education. Limitation and suggestions for future research are also provided. 展开更多

Higher education systems need to increasingly transform in order to face new challenges of society in a modern and global context. Both Europe and China are facing challenges in restructuring their higher education systems and embracing the potential for higher education to deliver innovative teaching and learning as well as social and economic services for a changing society. This paper analyses the challenges to European and Chinese universities today and elaborates on the implications of these challenges for EU-China higher education collaboration. An analysis of challenges and relevant strategies in these two contexts can offer us insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each system. This can act as a solid basis for future collaborations or as potential barriers. Thus, this paper endeavors to fill in the gap regarding EU-China higher education cooperation by reducing the knowledge deficit and bringing mutual understanding, respect, trust, and ultimately benefit to both sides. 展开更多
