In this novel, Forster explores the difficulty to unify human relations,and exposes the eternal gaps between two nations. This paper will center on the eternal gaps of a Passage to India, which are represented by the misunderstandings between"India"and"British". By exploring and analyzing those gaps, the paper reaches the conclusion that those gaps can not be eliminated and the long-existing communication proposed by Forster is still a long way to go.展开更多
