One measuring instrument for listening has emerged in the literature as the Listening Style Inventory (LSI). This self-reporting instrument is designed to assess individually perceived listening style. Identifying listening style can provide a basis for motivating individuals to alter personal listening behavior, thereby establishing more effective skills.
