An equivalent circuit model of a novel fence structure vibratory micromachined gy- roscope's oscillating properties is modeled by electrical equivalent circuits according to its dynamics equation.Equivalent circui...An equivalent circuit model of a novel fence structure vibratory micromachined gy- roscope's oscillating properties is modeled by electrical equivalent circuits according to its dynamics equation.Equivalent circuit model of oscillating and differential detection capacitance model are im- plemented in the circuit simulation tool PSPICE,which is available in oscillating properties analysis such as oscillating's transient response,steady response and frequency response to angular rate to op- timize working mode of the gyroscope.The model also enables sensor simulation with the interfacing electronics to analyse the performances of the whole system.Behavioral simulation of the system is performed to prove the function of detection circuits.The simulation results and measurement results show that the design of circuits is feasible.展开更多

With this method, two systems' similarities can be captured in terms of physics quantities/governed-equations amongst different energy fields, and then the unknown dynamic characteristics of one of the systems can be analyzed according to the similar ones of the other system. The probability to establish a pair of similar systems among MEMS and other energy systems is also discussed based on the equivalent between mechanics and electrics, and then the feasibility of applying this method is proven by an example, in which the squeezed damping force in MEMS and the current of its equivalent circuit established by this method are compared.展开更多
Conductor corona performance is significant in the evaluation of electromagnetic environment for high voltage power transmission lines. The influence of artificial contaminated conductors on corona discharge was studi...Conductor corona performance is significant in the evaluation of electromagnetic environment for high voltage power transmission lines. The influence of artificial contaminated conductors on corona discharge was studied and turned out to be complicated. The ionized field strength on the corona cage was measured by field mill. Meanwhile, photos of corona plumes were photographed and grayed to quantitate the corona discharge intensity. Subsequently, a calculation model for equivalent electric field strength coefficient was established to evaluate the discharge intensity of conductors in coaxial cylindrical electrode. It could be found the computational results achieved an agreement with the observed experimental phenomena. By means of simulation results, a reasonable explanation was given to the finding that the closer the distance between the two protrusions was, the lower the corona discharge intensity and higher corona inception voltage of the conductors would be. In summary, the distributions of corona sources played an important role in the corona discharge and this work would provide an important reference for the evaluation of corona effects on the surface of contaminated conductors.展开更多
