At present, China has about 36% of the global rare earth reserves, but provides 90% of the world's supply...Rare earth resources are relatively scarce worldwide, but their global consumption is increasing year-by-year. At present, China has about 36% of the global rare earth reserves, but provides 90% of the world's supply, which has generally met world demand and promoted the development of the world economy. In order to continuously and stably supply rare earths to international markets, the Chinese Government has financially supported the Institute of Multipurpose Utilization of Mineral Resources within the China Geological Survey to study the utilization of low-grade rare earth ores. Following many years of experimental research, the project has developed a new technology entitled "Flotation to Form Agglomerates and then Magnetic Separation", which will bring a technological revolution to the world's light rare earth ore dressing.展开更多

It will underlay the new technology of reverse flotation de silica. The technology is important to enhance the mass ratio of Al 2O 3 to SiO 2, decreasing the silica content and energy consumption in producing aluminum oxide and economically utilizing the diasporic bauxite in China.展开更多

Test work showed that when the coal sample from Zhong Liang Shanwas processed with a Free Jet Flotation Column its pyritic sulfur content was reduced from 3.08%to 0. 84%, with 72. 22% recovery ofcomhustiblc matter in clean coal. The coneept of Desulfuriza tion Efficiency Index E for comprehensive evaluation of desumirhation process is proposed, whichis deffeed as the product of the ratio of sulfur content reduction of clean ctal and the recovery ofcomhustihle matters.展开更多
