The appearance of thermal quenching of the PL intensity with increasing temperature confirms the presence of a nonradiative recombination center in the cell after the electron irradiation, and the thermal activation energy of the center is determined using the Arrhenius plot of the PL intensity. Furthermore, by comparing the thermal activation and the ionization energies of the defects, the nonradiative recombination center in the n+ p GaAs middle cell acting as a primary defect is identified as the E5 electron trap located at Ec - 0.96 eV.展开更多

In previous works, only one dominant decoherence source is studied: P1 electron spin bath for type-Ⅰb diamond; or 13C nuclear spin bath for type-Ⅱa diamond. In general, the thermal fluctuation from both spin baths can be eliminated by the Hahn echo sequence, resulting in a long coherence time (T2 ) of about 400#8. However, in a high-purity type-Ⅱa diamond where 1℃ nuclear spin bath is the dominant decoherence source, dramatic decreases of NV electron spin T2 time caused by P1 electron spin bath are observed under certain magnetic field. We further apply the engineered Hahn echo sequence to confirm the decoherenee mechanism of multiple spin baths and quantitatively estimate the contribution of P1 electron spin bath. Our results are helpful to understand the NV decoherence mechanisms, which will benefit quantum computing and quantum metrology.展开更多

Macroscopic cold crack easily occurred near TiAl substrate in the joints. The optimal tensile strength was related to the welding heat input. The weld structures were composed of bulky columnar grains and equiaxed grains. The isolated phases consisted of large quantities of α2 -Ti3Al phase, small quantity of B2 phase, γ-TiAl phase and YAl2 phase. Insufficient melting of the base metal occurred in the weld when the beam position leaned to the TC4 side. The tensile strength could be improved when the deflection was limited in the optimum range. Otherwise, non-fusion zone was easily generated in the weld, which led to the low tensile strength.展开更多

An analytical expression for electron flux distributions is derived, which displays oscillations on an observation plane similar to the recent results published by Wang but in the presence of a static electric field. We also discuss the expressions for soft and hard wall cases in detail. A comparison is made with the previous work. The expression is a more general result, and we can deduce from it the electron flux distributions for the photodetachment of H2 near an interface. Finally, we show that the expression reveals similar results as those in [Chin. Phys. B 19 020306 (2010)] when the wall effect is neglected.展开更多

The result shows that the glass structure is changed due to the formation of structure defect from oxygen vacancy and E’ color center, which resultsd in the crystallization process and new precursors, and decreasement of Tg temperature and crystallization peaks by 20 -50℃.展开更多

An illustrative case of regular motion along a “slow” coordinates leading to oscillations in the kinetics is examined. Different schemes of charge separation are investigated. A good fitting of experimental kinetics of native Rba. sphaeroides RCs is achieved in the five states model P*1BAHA↔P*2BAHA↔I↔P+HA↔P+BA with two excited states BAHA and BAHA and three charge separated states I, P+HA and P+BA (P is a primary electron donor, bacteriochlorophyll dimer, BA and HA are an electron acceptor, monomeric bacteriochlorophyll and bacteriopheophytin in active A-branch, respectively). In the model only the first excited state is directly populated by optical excitation. The emission of the two excited states is assumed to be at 905 and 940 nm, respectively. The intermediate state I is assumed to absorb at 1020 nm as well as the P+HA state. The model explains the deep oscillations in the kinetics of the stimulated emission and of the absorption. In the simpler schemes without the I state or with only one excited state the accordance with the experiment is achieved at unreal parameter values. A possible nature of the I and BAHA states and a possible incoherent nature of the oscillations are discussed.展开更多
