This observation requires us to have a detailed and precise understanding of the interfaces of verbal and emotional communications. The progress of AI is significant on the verbal level but modest in terms of the recognition of facial emotions even if this functionality is one of the oldest in humans and is omnipresent in our daily lives. Dysfunction in the ability for facial emotional expressions is present in many brain pathologies encountered by psychiatrists, neurologists, psychotherapists, mental health professionals including social workers. It cannot be objectively verified and measured due to a lack of reliable tools that are valid and consistently sensitive. Indeed, the articles in the scientific literature dealing with Visual-Facial-Emotions-Recognition (ViFaEmRe), suffer from the absence of 1) consensual and rational tools for continuous quantified measurement, 2) operational concepts. We have invented a software that can use computer-morphing attempting to respond to these two obstacles. It is identified as the Method of Analysis and Research of the Integration of Emotions (M.A.R.I.E.). Our primary goal is to use M.A.R.I.E. to understand the physiology of ViFaEmRe in normal healthy subjects by standardizing the measurements. Then, it will allow us to focus on subjects manifesting abnormalities in this ability. Our second goal is to make our contribution to the progress of AI hoping to add the dimension of recognition of facial emotional expressions. Objective: To study: 1) categorical vs dimensional aspects of recognition of ViFaEmRe, 2) universality vs idiosyncrasy, 3) immediate vs ambivalent Emotional-Decision-Making, 4) the Emotional-Fingerprint of a face and 5) creation of population references data. Methods: M.A.R.I.E. enables the rational, quantified measurement of Emotional Visual Acuity (EVA) in an individual observer and a population aged 20 to 70 years. Meanwhile, it can measure the range and intensity of expressed emotions through three Face- Tests, quantify the performance of a sample of 204 observers with hypernormal measures of cognition, “thymia” (defined elsewhere), and low levels of anxiety, and perform analysis of the six primary emotions. Results: We have individualized the following continuous parameters: 1) “Emotional-Visual- Acuity”, 2) “Visual-Emotional-Feeling”, 3) “Emotional-Quotient”, 4) “Emotional-Decision-Making”, 5) “Emotional-Decision-Making Graph” or “Individual-Gun-Trigger”, 6) “Emotional-Fingerprint” or “Key-graph”, 7) “Emotional-Fingerprint-Graph”, 8) detecting “misunderstanding” and 9) detecting “error”. This allowed us a taxonomy with coding of the face-emotion pair. Each face has specific measurements and graphics. The EVA improves from ages of 20 to 55 years, then decreases. It does not depend on the sex of the observer, nor the face studied. In addition, 1% of people endowed with normal intelligence do not recognize emotions. The categorical dimension is a variable for everyone. The range and intensity of ViFaEmRe is idiosyncratic and not universally uniform. The recognition of emotions is purely categorical for a single individual. It is dimensional for a population sample. Conclusions: Firstly, M.A.R.I.E. has made possible to bring out new concepts and new continuous measurements variables. The comparison between healthy and abnormal individuals makes it possible to take into consideration the significance of this line of study. From now on, these new functional parameters will allow us to identify and name “emotional” disorders or illnesses which can give additional dimension to behavioral disorders in all pathologies that affect the brain. Secondly, the ViFaEmRe is idiosyncratic, categorical, and a function of the identity of the observer and of the observed face. These findings stack up against Artificial Intelligence, which cannot have a globalist or regionalist algorithm that can be programmed into a robot, nor can AI compete with human abilities and judgment in this domain. *Here “Emotional disorders” refers to disorders of emotional expressions and recognition.展开更多

Nursing students can enroll a health team in a helpful and beneficial way with the use of emotional intelligence. Nurses who can identify, control, and interpret both their own emotions and those of their patients provide better patient care. The purpose of this study was to assess the emotional intelligence and to investigate the relationship and differences between emotional intelligence and demographic characteristics of nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out on 381 nursing students. Data collection was completed by “Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test”. Data were analyzed with the Statistical Package for Social Science. An independent t test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression were used. Results: The results revealed that the emotional intelligence mean was 143.1 ± 21.6 (ranging from 33 to 165), which is high. Also, the analysis revealed that most of the participants 348 (91.3%) had higher emotional intelligence level. This finding suggests that nursing students are emotionally intelligent and may be able to notice, analyze, control, manage, and harness emotion in an adaptive manner. Also, academic year of nursing students was a predictor of emotional intelligence. Furthermore, there was positive relationship between the age and emotional intelligence (p < 0.05). The students’ ability to use their EI increased as they rose through the nursing grades. Conclusion: This study confirmed that the emotional intelligence score of the nursing students was high. Also, academic year of nursing students was a predictor of emotional intelligence. In addition, a positive relationship was confirmed between the emotional intelligence and age of nursing students. .展开更多

This study is focused on the estimation of water fluxes exchanged between the river Niger (and its tributaries) and the transboundary Iullemeden Aquifer System. In that framework, an innovative approach based on the application of the Bayesian Mixing Model (MixSIAR) analysis on water isotopes (oxygen-18, deuterium and tritium) was performed. Moreover, to assess the relevance of the model outputs, Pearson’s correlation and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) have been done. A complex relationship between surface water and groundwater has been found. Sixty percent (60%) of groundwater samples are made of more than 70% river water and rainwater;while 31.25% of surface water samples are made of about 84% groundwater. To safeguard sustainable water resources for the well-being of the local communities, surface water and groundwater must be managed as a unique component in the Kandi basin.展开更多

It has been showed that, on the macroscopic level, that medium—the “gravitational field”—manifests itself as the vector field Eg. In this article we will deduce from the postulate of the emission of informatons, that the informatons emitted by a moving mass particle carry not only information about the position (g-information) but also about the velocity (“β-information”) of their emitter. It follows that the gravitational field of a moving mass particle is a dual entity always having a field- and an induction-component (Egand Bg) simultaneously created by their common sources: time-variable masses and mass flows and that the gravitational interaction is the effect of the fact that an object in a gravitational field always tends to become “blind” for that field by accelerating according to a Lorentz-like law.展开更多

The results showed that, the three physical quantities oscillate between their upper and lower bounds, where the number of oscillations increases as the Rashba interaction strength increases. The exchanging rate of these three quantities depends on the Rashba strength, and whether the entangled state is generated via direct/indirect interaction. Moreover, the coherence parameter can be used as a control parameter to maximize or minimize the three physical quantities.展开更多
文摘This article presents an analysis of the patterns of interactions resulting from the positive and negative emotional events that occur in cities, considering them as complex systems. It explores, from the imaginaries, how certain urban objects can act as emotional agents and how these events affect the urban system as a whole. An adaptive complex systems perspective is used to analyze these patterns. The results show patterns in the processes and dynamics that occur in cities based on the objects that affect the emotions of the people who live there. These patterns depend on the characteristics of the emotional charge of urban objects, but they can be generalized in the following process:(1)immediate reaction by some individuals;(2)emotions are generated at the individual level which begins to generalize, permuting to a collective emotion;(3)a process of reflection is detonated in some individuals from the reading of collective emotions;(4)integration/significance in the community both at the individual and collective level,on the concepts, roles and/or functions that give rise to the process in the system. Therefore,it is clear that emotions play a significant role in the development of cities and these aspects should be considered in the design strategies of all kinds of projects for the city.Future extensions of this work could include a deeper analysis of specific emotional events in urban environments,as well as possible implications for urban policy and decision making.
文摘Adolescents are considered one of the most vulnerable groups affected by suicide.Rapid changes in adolescents’physical and mental states,as well as in their lives, significantly and undeniably increase the risk of suicide.Psychological, social, family, individual, and environmental factors are important risk factors for suicidal behavior among teenagers and may contribute to suicide risk through various direct, indirect,or combined pathways.Social-emotional learning is considered a powerful intervention measure for addressing the crisis of adolescent suicide. When deliberately cultivated, fostered, and enhanced,selfawareness,self-management,social awareness, interpersonal skills, and responsible decision-making,as the five core competencies of social-emotional learning, can be used to effectively target various risk factors for adolescent suicide and provide necessary mental and interpersonal support.Among numerous suicide intervention methods,school-based interventions based on social-emotional competence have shown great potential in preventing and addressing suicide risk factors in adolescents. The characteristics of school-based interventions based on social-emotional competence, including their appropriateness,necessity,cost-effectiveness,comprehensiveness,and effectiveness, make these interventions an important means of addressing the crisis of adolescent suicide. To further determine the potential of school-based interventions based on social-emotional competence and better address the issue of adolescent suicide, additional financial support should be provided, the combination of socialemotional learning and other suicide prevention programs within schools should be fully leveraged, and cooperation between schools and families, society, and other environments should be maximized. These efforts should be considered future research directions.

文摘Background:During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in China, social interactions shifted to online spaces due to lockdowns and social distancing measures. As a result, the impact of online social networking on users’emotional status has become stronger than ever. This study examines the association between online social networking and Internet users’emotional status and how offline reality affects this relationship. Methods:The study utilizes cross-sectional online survey data(n=3004)and Baidu Migration big data from the first 3 months of the pandemic. Two dimensions of online networking are measured:social support and information sources. Results:First, individuals’online social support(β=0.16,p<0.05)and information sources(β=0.08,p<0.01)are both positively associated to their emotional status during the epidemic.Second, these positive associations are moderated by social status and provincial pandemic control interventions. With regards to the moderation effect of social status, the constructive impact of information sources on emotional well-being is more pronounced among individuals from vulnerable groups compared to those who are not. With regard to the moderation effect of provincial interventions, online social support has the potential to alleviate the adverse repercussions of high rates of confirmed COVID-19 cases and strict lockdown measures while simultaneously augmenting the favorable effects of recovery. Conclusion:The various dimensions of social networking exert distinct effects on emotional status through diverse mechanisms, all of which must be taken into account when designing and adapting pandemic-control interventions.

文摘Metal-organic framework(MOF)-derived carbon composites have been considered as the promising materials for energy storage. However, the construction of MOF-based composites with highly controllable mode via the liquid-liquid synthesis method has a great challenge because of the simultaneous heterogeneous nucleation on substrates and the self-nucleation of individual MOF nanocrystals in the liquid phase.Herein,we report a bidirectional electrostatic generated self-assembly strategy to achieve the precisely controlled coatings of single-layer nanoscale MOFs on a range of substrates, including carbon nanotubes(CNTs),graphene oxide(GO),MXene, layered double hydroxides(LDHs),MOFs,and SiO_(2).The obtained MOF-based nanostructured carbon composite exhibits the hierarchical porosity(V_(meso)/V_(micro)∶2.4),ultrahigh N content of 12.4 at.%and"dual electrical conductive networks."The assembled aqueous zinc-ion hybrid capacitor(ZIC)with the prepared nanocarbon composite as a cathode shows a high specific capacitance of 236 F g^(-1)at 0.5 A g^(-1),great rate performance of 98 F g^(-1)at 100 A g^(-1),and especially,an ultralong cycling stability up to 230000 cycles with the capacitance retention of 90.1%.This work develops a repeatable and general method for the controlled construction of MOF coatings on various functional substrates and further fabricates carbon composites for ZICs with ultrastability.

文摘Ultrasmall gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)typically includes atomically precise gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)and AuNPs with a core size below 3 nm.Serving as a bridge between small molecules and traditional inorganic nanoparticles, the ultrasmall AuNPs show the unique advantages of both small molecules(e.g.,rapid distribution, renal clearance, low non-specific organ accumulation)and nanoparticles(e.g.,long blood circulation and enhanced permeability and retention effect). The emergence of ultrasmall AuNPs creates significant opportunities to address many challenges in the health field including disease diagnosis, monitoring and treatment.Since the nano–bio interaction dictates the overall biological applications of the ultrasmall AuNPs,this review elucidates the recent advances in the biological interactions and imaging of ultrasmall AuNPs.We begin with the introduction of the factors that influence the cellular interactions of ultrasmall AuNPs.We then discuss the organ interactions, especially focus on the interactions of the liver and kidneys. We further present the recent advances in the tumor interactions of ultrasmall AuNPs.In addition, the imaging performance of the ultrasmall AuNPs is summarized and discussed. Finally,we summarize this review and provide some perspective on the future research direction of the ultrasmall AuNPs,aiming to accelerate their clinical translation.
文摘Context: The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) requires modeling prior to its implementation in algorithms for most human skills. *Here “Emotional disorders” refers to disorders of emotional expressions and recognition.

文摘Tree interactions are essential for the structure, dynamics, and function of forest ecosystems, but variations in the architecture of life-stage interaction networks(LSINs)across forests is unclear. Here,we constructed 16 LSINs in the mountainous forests of northwest Hebei,China based on crown overlap from four mixed forests with two dominant tree species. Our results show that LSINs decrease the complexity of stand densities and basal areas due to the interaction cluster differentiation. In addition,we found that mature trees and saplings play different roles, the first acting as“hub”life stages with high connectivity and the second,as“bridges”controlling information flow with high centrality.Across the forests, life stages with higher importance showed better parameter stability within LSINs.These results reveal that the structure of tree interactions among life stages is highly related to stand variables. Our efforts contribute to the understanding of LSIN complexity and provide a basis for further research on tree interactions in complex forest communities.

文摘Studying the relationship between ionic interactions and salt solubility in seawater has implications for seawater desalination and mineral extraction. In this paper,a new method of expressing ion-to-ion interaction is proposed by using molecular dynamics simulation, and the relationship between ion-to-ion interaction and salt solubility in a simulated seawater water-salt system is investigated.By analyzing the variation of distance and contact time between ions in an electrolyte solution, from both spatial and temporal perspectives, new parameters were proposed to describe the interaction between ions:interaction distance(ID),and interaction time ratio(ITR).The best correlation between characteristic time ratio and solubility was found for a molar ratio of salt-to-water of 10:100 with a correlation coefficient of 0.96.For the same salt,a positive correlation was found between CTR and the molar ratio of salt and water. For type 1-1,type 2-1,type 1-2,and type 2-2 salts, the correlation coefficients between CTR and solubility were 0.93,0.96,0.92,and 0.98 for a salt-to-water molar ratio of 10:100,respectively.The solubility of multiple salts was predicted by simulations and compared with experimental values, yielding an average relative deviation of 12.4%.The new ion-interaction parameters offer significant advantages in describing strongly correlated and strongly hydrated electrolyte solutions.
文摘Introduction: Emotional intelligence, or the capacity to cope one’s emotions, makes it simpler to form good connections with others and do caring duties. In addition, a positive relationship was confirmed between the emotional intelligence and age of nursing students. .

文摘Atomistic modeling is a widely employed theoretical method of computational materials science. It has found particular utility in the study of magnetic materials.Initially, magnetic empirical interatomic potentials or spinpolarized density functional theory(DFT)served as the primary models for describing interatomic interactions in atomistic simulations of magnetic systems.Furthermore,in recent years,a new class of interatomic potentials known as magnetic machine-learning interatomic potentials(magnetic MLIPs)has emerged. These MLIPs combine the computational efficiency,in terms of CPU time,of empirical potentials with the accuracy of DFT calculations. In this review, our focus lies on providing a comprehensive summary of the interatomic interaction models developed specifically for investigating magnetic materials. We also delve into the various problem classes to which these models can be applied. Finally,we offer insights into the future prospects of interatomic interaction model development for the exploration of magnetic materials.

文摘The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously developed hybrid code to model ion beam-plasma interaction.Hybrid simulations show that both resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they compete with each other. When the target is not completely ionized, the self-generated resistive field effect dominates over the ion scattering effect. However, when the target is completely ionized, this situation is reversed. Moreover,it is found that Ohmic heating is important for higher current densities and materials with high resistivity. The energy fraction deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Typical ion divergences with half-angles of about 5°-10°will modify the proton energy deposition substantially and should be taken into account.
文摘The Kandi basin is located in northeast Benin (West Africa). To safeguard sustainable water resources for the well-being of the local communities, surface water and groundwater must be managed as a unique component in the Kandi basin.
文摘In this work,a numerical study of the effects of soil-structure interaction(SSI)and granular material-structure interaction(GSI)on the nonlinear response and seismic capacity of flat-bottomed storage silos is conducted.A series of incremental dynamic analyses(IDA)are performed on a case of large reinforced concrete silo using 10 seismic recordings. The IDA results are given by two average IDA capacity curves, which are represented,as well as the seismic capacity of the studied structure, with and without a consideration of the SSI while accounting for the effect of GSI.These curves are used to quantify and evaluate the damage of the studied silo by utilizing two damage indices, one based on dissipated energy and the other on displacement and dissipated energy. The cumulative energy dissipation curves obtained by the average IDA capacity curves with and without SSI are presented as a function of the base shear, and these curves allow one to obtain the two critical points and the different limit states of the structure. It is observed that the SSI and GSI significantly influence the seismic response and capacity of the studied structure, particularly at higher levels of PGA.Moreover, the effect of the SSI reduces the damage index of the studied structure by 4%.

文摘With the rapid spread of Internet information and the spread of fake news, the detection of fake news becomes more and more important.Traditional detection methods often rely on a single emotional or semantic feature to identify fake news, but these methods have limitations when dealing with news in specific domains. In order to solve the problem of weak feature correlation between data from different domains,a model for detecting fake news by integrating domain-specific emotional and semantic features is proposed. This method makes full use of the attention mechanism, grasps the correlation between different features, and effectively improves the effect of feature fusion. The algorithm first extracts the semantic features of news text through the Bi-LSTM(Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory)layer to capture the contextual relevance of news text.Senta-BiLSTM is then used to extract emotional features and predict the probability of positive and negative emotions in the text.It then uses domain features as an enhancement feature and attention mechanism to fully capture more fine-grained emotional features associated with that domain. Finally, the fusion features are taken as the input of the fake news detection classifier, combined with the multi-task representation of information, and the MLP and Softmax functions are used for classification. The experimental results show that on the Chinese dataset Weibo21,the F1 value of this model is 0.958,4.9% higher than that of the sub-optimal model;on the English dataset FakeNewsNet,the F1 value of the detection result of this model is 0.845,1.8% higher than that of the sub-optimal model, which is advanced and feasible.

文摘Manipulating nonlinear excitations, including solitons and vortices,is an essential topic in quantum many-body physics.A new progress in this direction is a protocol proposed in[Phys.Rev.Res.2043256(2020)]to produce dark solitons in a one-dimensional atomic Bose–Einstein condensate(BEC)by quenching inter-atomic interaction.Motivated by this work,we generalize the protocol to a two-dimensional BEC and investigate the generic scenario of its post-quench dynamics. For an isotropic disk trap with a hard-wall boundary,we find that successive inward-moving ring dark solitons(RDSs)can be induced from the edge, and the number of RDSs can be controlled by tuning the ratio of the after-and before-quench interaction strength across different critical values. The role of the quench played on the profiles of the density, phase, and sound velocity is also investigated.Due to the snake instability, the RDSs then become vortex–antivortex pairs with peculiar dynamics managed by the initial density and the after-quench interaction.By tuning the geometry of the box traps, demonstrated as polygonal ones, more subtle dynamics of solitons and vortices are enabled. Our proposed protocol and the discovered rich dynamical effects on nonlinear excitations can be realized in near future cold-atom experiments.

文摘Topological magnetism with strong robustness, nanoscale dimensions and ultralow driving current density(106 A/m^(2))is promising for applications in information sensing, storage, and processing, and thus sparking widespread research interest.Exploring candidate material systems with nanoscale size and easily tunable properties is a key for realizing practical topological magnetism-based spintronic devices. Here,we propose a class of ultrathin heterostructures,Fe/Bi_(2)O_(2)X(X=S,Se,Te)by deposing metal Fe on quasi-two-dimensional(2D)bismuth oxychalcogenides Bi_(2)O_(2)X(X=S,Se,Te)with excellent ferroelectric/ferroelastic properties.Large Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction(DMI)and topological magnetism can be realized. Our atomistic spin dynamics simulations demonstrate that field-free vortex–antivortex loops and sub-10 nm skyrmions exist in Fe/Bi_(2)O_(2)S and Fe/Bi_(2)O_(2)Se interfaces, respectively. These results provide a possible strategy to tailor topological magnetism in ultrathin magnets/2D materials interfaces, which is extremely vital for spintronics applications.
文摘In the article “Newtons Law of Universal Gravitation Explained by the Theory of Informatons” the gravitational interaction between mass particles at rest has been explained by the hypothesis that g-information carried by informatons is the substance of the medium that the interaction in question makes possible. It follows that the gravitational field of a moving mass particle is a dual entity always having a field- and an induction-component (Egand Bg) simultaneously created by their common sources: time-variable masses and mass flows and that the gravitational interaction is the effect of the fact that an object in a gravitational field always tends to become “blind” for that field by accelerating according to a Lorentz-like law.

文摘BACKGROUND The risks associated with negative doctor-patient relationships have seriously hindered the healthy development of medical and healthcare and aroused wide-spread concern in society. The number of public comments on doctor-patient relationship risk events reflects the degree to which the public pays attention to such events.Thirty incidents of doctor-patient disputes were collected from Weibo and TikTok,and 3655 related comments were extracted. The number of comment sentiment words was extracted, and the comment sentiment value was calculated. The Kruskal-Wallis H test was used to compare differences between each variable group at different levels of incidence.Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to examine associations between variables.Regression analysis was used to explore factors influencing scores of comments on incidents.RESULTS The study results showed that public comments on media reports of doctor-patient disputes at all levels are mainly dominated by“good”and“disgust”emotional states. There was a significant difference in the comment scores and the number of partial emotion words between comments on varying levels of severity of doctor-patient disputes. The comment score was positively correlated with the number of emotion words related to positive, good, and happy)and negatively correlated with the number of emotion words related to negative, anger, disgust, fear, and sadness.CONCLUSION The number of emotion words related to negative, anger, disgust, fear, and sadness directly influences comment scores, and the severity of the incident level indirectly influences comment scores.
文摘The behavior of the quantum correlations, information scrambling and the non-Markovianity of three entangling qubits systems via Rashba is discussed. The results showed that, the three physical quantities oscillate between their upper and lower bounds, where the number of oscillations increases as the Rashba interaction strength increases. The exchanging rate of these three quantities depends on the Rashba strength, and whether the entangled state is generated via direct/indirect interaction. Moreover, the coherence parameter can be used as a control parameter to maximize or minimize the three physical quantities.
