Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) was applied in the detection of the end point temperature (EPT) of thermal denatured protein in fish and meat in this study. It was also used in studying the thermal denatured temperature range of proteins in salmon and chicken meat. The results show that the temperature ranges of denatured proteins were from 65 ℃ to 75 ℃ , and these temperature ranges were influenced by the processing methods. Through SDS-PAGE, the features of repeated heating thermal denatured proteins under the same temperature and processing time were studied. The electrophoresis patterns of thermal denatured proteins determined through repeated heating at the same temperature did not exhibit any change. For the detection of cooked fish and meat samples, they were subjected to applying the SDS-PAGE method, which revealed an EPT ranging from 60 ℃ to 80 ℃ . 展开更多

Quark Number Susceptibility around the Chiral Critical End Point

We calculate the quark number susceptibility (QNS) around the chiral critical end point (CEP). The CEP is found to be located at (μc,Tc)= (80 MeV, 148 MeV) where μc and Tc are the critical chemical potential and temperature, respectively. The QNS is found to have the highest and sharpest peak at the CEP. It is also found that, when the chemical potential μ is in the range of 60MeV≤ μ ≤ 110MeV, the QNS near the transition temperature is larger than the free field result, which indicates that the space-like damping mode dominates the degree of freedom of motion near the CEP. 展开更多

Treatment decisions in autoimmune hepatitis are complicated by the diversity of its clinical presentations,uncertainties about its natural history,evolving opinions regarding treatment end points,varied nature of refractory disease,and plethora of alternative immu-nosuppressive agents. The goals of this article are to review the difficult treatment decisions and to provide the bases for making sound therapeutic judgments. The English literature on the treatment problems in au-toimmune hepatitis were identifi ed by Medline search up to October 2009 and 32 years of personal experi-ence. Autoimmune hepatitis may have an acute severe presentation,mild in? ammatory activity,lack autoan-tibodies,exhibit atypical histological changes (centri-lobular zone 3 necrosis or bile duct injury),or have variant features reminiscent of another disease (overlap syndrome). Corticosteroid therapy must be instituted early,applied despite the absence of symptoms,or modified in an individualized fashion. Pursuit of normal liver tests and tissue is the ideal treatment end point,but this objective must be tempered against the risk of side effects. Relapse after treatment withdrawal requires long-term maintenance therapy,preferably with azathioprine. Treatment failure or an incomplete response warrants salvage therapy that can include conventional medications in modified dose or empiricaltherapies with calcineurin inhibitors or mycophenolate mofetil. Liver transplantation supersedes empirical drug therapy in decompensated patients. Elderly and pregnant patients warrant treatment modifications. Difficult treatment decisions in autoimmune hepatitis can be simplified by recognizing its diverse manifestations and individualizing treatment,pursuing realistic goals,applying appropriate salvage regimens,and identifying problematic patients early. 展开更多

A preparation technology of MgO powder used in special silicon steel from hydromagnesite mineral has been developed. The preparation technology includes the following steps: (1) calcining the hydromagnesite at 700-750°C for 1.5-2 h; (2) hydrating the calcined hydromagnesite to be slurry containing the solid-liquid ratio of 15-20 g?L?1; (3) acquiring Mg(HCO3)2 solution by carbonating the slurry, the carbonation temperature, CO2 pressure, and end point PH value of carbonation are less than 40°C, 0.4-0.6 MPa, and 7 respectively during the carbonation process; (4) preparing precipitated basic magnesium carbonate by thermally decomposing the Mg(HCO3)2 solution at 90-100°C; (5) obtaining the MgO product by calcining the precipitated basic magnesium carbonate at 850-950°C for 30-60 min, and adopting flowing nitrogen during the cooling process. By using this technology, more than 80wt% magnesium in hydromagnesite mineral can be extracted, and high-performance MgO products used in special silicon steel can be ob- tained. 展开更多

Study on Headland-Bay Sandy Coast Stability in South China Coasts 被引量:5

Headland-bay beach equilibrium planform has been a crucial problem abroad to long-term sandy beach evolution and stabilization, extensively applied to forecast long-term coastal erosion evolvement and the influences of coastal engineering as well as long-term coastal management and protection. However, little concern focuses on this in China. The parabolic relationship is the most widely used empirical relationship for determining the static equilibrium shape of headland-bay beaches. This paper utilizes the relation to predict and classify 31 headland-bay beaches and concludes that these bays cannot achieve the ultimate static equilibrium planform in South China. The empirical bay equation can morphologically estimate beach stabilization state, but it is just a referential predictable means and is difficult to evaluate headland-bay shoreline movements in years and decades. By using Digital Shoreline Analysis System suggested by USGS, the rates of shoreline recession and accretion of these different headland-bay beaches are quantitatively calculated from 1990 to 2000. The conclusions of this paper include that (a) most of these 31 bays maintain relatively stable and the rates of erosion and accretion are relatively large with the impact of man-made constructions on estuarine within these bays from 1990 to 2000; (b) two bays, Haimen Bay and Hailingshan Bay, originally in the quasi-static equilibrium planform determined by the parabolic bay shape equation, have been unstable by the influence of coastal engineering; and (c) these 31 bays have different recession and accretion characters occuning in some bays and some segments. On the one hand, some bays totally exhibit accretion, but some bays show erosion on the whole. Shanwei Bay, Houmen Bay, Pinghai Bay and Yazhou Bay have the similar planforms, characterized by less accretion on the sheltering segment and bigger accretion on the transitional and tangential segments. On the other hand, different segments of some bays have two dissimilar evolvement characters. Dacheng Bay, Shenquan Bay, Hudong Bay, Wukan Bay, Fengjia Bay, Wuchang Bay, Lingshui Bay and Tufu Bay produce accretion on the tangential segment, erosion on the transitional segment and accretion on the sheltering segment. However, Guang'ao Bay, Haimen Bay, Jinghai Bay, Sanya Bay(a), Dajiao Bay, Hailingshan Bay, Hebei Bay, Fuhu Bay, Shuidong Bay, Wangcun Bay and Bomao Bay generate erosion on the tangential part, accretion on the transitional part and accretion on the sheltering part. It seems to imply some relations between headland-bay beach evolvement and controls on headland-bay beaches, which may possibly to classify headland-bay beach types and should be further studied. 展开更多

Using a differential form of the potential energy function and taking the effect of work applied by external force in far field into account, the mechanism of strike-slip fault earthquake is analyzed. The research indicates that each characteristic displayed with a fold catastrophe model in the catastrophe theory corresPonds to a specific primary characteristic of the strike-slip fault earthquake. The fold catastrophe can describe the positions of starting and end points of a fault failure and the distance of fault dislocation. These include the description of stability of the surrounding rock-fault system before and after the earthquake. Two different illustrations about elastic energy releasing amount of the surrounding rock with the fault failure are shown with the primary characteristics mutually demonstrated. The intensity of strike-slip fault earthquake is related to the surrounding rock press and the stiffness ratio of surrounding rock and fault. The larger the surrounding rock press, the smaller the stiffness ratio. The larger the included angle between the tangential stress axis and the causative fault surface, the stronger the earthquake. 展开更多

This research aims to assess the sensitive coastal zones by analyzing the shoreline changes such as accretion and erosion in the eastern coastal part of Ramanathapuram District,Tamil Nadu,India.The study focused on Mandapam,Pirappanvalsai,Enmanamcondam,Nagachi,Terbogi,Athyuthu,Chitrakkottai,Pathengal,Attangarai,Alagankulam,and Devipattinam villages.Some of these areas are distinguished as highly sensitive ecological zone.The erosion of an area leads to irreplaceable disturbances to nature.Hence,erosion and accretion studies are top priorities when studying the coastal area.In addition to GIS technology,which has been widely used in the past 20 years,the End Point Rate(EPR)and Linear Regression Rate(LRR)analyses were conducted to better understand the shoreline changes.The stability of the coastal region was analyzed by observing the slope variations of the beach during the profile survey.In the study,we analyzed that the Quaternary deposits of sand are the dominant geological feature of the study area.Coral reefs and salt pans are highly distributed along the coastal stretch.The coast of Mandapam village has been detected as a highly sensitive region,with an average erosion rate of-3.1 m/yr and an average accretion rate of 1.22 m/yr,resulting in high erosion and low accretion.The coast is a steep coast with an average slope angle of 0.24°.This study provides insight into sustainable coastal zone management. 展开更多

Locating the QCD critical end point through peaked baryon number susceptibilities along the freeze-out line 被引量:1

We investigate the baryon number susceptibilities up to fourth order along different freeze-out lines in a holographic QCD model with a critical end point(CEP), and we propose that the peaked baryon number susceptibilities along the freeze-out line can be used as a clean signature to locate the CEP in the QCD phase diagram.On the temperature and baryon chemical potential plane, the cumulant ratio of the baryon number susceptibilities(up to fourth order) forms a ridge along the phase boundary, and develops a sword-shaped "mountain" standing upright around the CEP in a narrow and oblate region. The measurement of baryon number susceptibilities from heavy-ion collision experiments is along the freeze-out line. If the freeze-out line crosses the foot of the CEP mountain, then one can observe the peaked baryon number susceptibilities along the freeze-out line, and the kurtosis of the baryon number distributions has the highest magnitude. The data from the first phase of the beam energy scan program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider indicates that there should be a peak of the kurtosis of the baryon number distribution at a collision energy of around 5 Ge V, which suggests that the freeze-out line crosses the foot of the CEP mountain and the summit of the CEP should be located nearby, around a collision energy of 3–7 GeV. 展开更多

We investigated different entanglement properties of a holographic QCD(hQCD)model with a critical end point at the finite baryon density.Firstly,we considered the holographic entanglement entropy(HEE)of this hQCD model in a spherical shaped region and a strip shaped region.It was determined that the HEE of this hQCD model in both regions can reflect QCD phase transition.Moreover,although the area formulas and minimal area equations of the two regions were quite different,the HEE exhibited a similar behavior on the QCD phase diagram.Therefore,we assert that the behavior of the HEE on the QCD phase diagram is independent of the shape of the subregions.However,the HEE is not an ideal parameter for the characterization of the entanglement between different subregions of a thermal system.As such,we investigated the mutual information(MI),conditional mutual information(CMI),and the entanglement of purification(Ep)in different strip shaped regions.We determined that the three entanglement quantities exhibited some universal behavior;their values did not change significantly in the hadronic matter phase but increased rapidly with the increase in T andμin the QGP phase.Near the phase boundary,these three entanglement quantities changed smoothly in the crossover region and continuously but not smoothly at CEP;they exhibited discontinuous behavior in the first phase transition region.These properties can be used to distinguish between the different phases of strongly coupled matter. 展开更多

The maximum entropy method(MEM)and Gaussian process(GP)regression,which are both well-suited for the treatment of inverse problems,are used to reconstruct net-baryon number distributions based on a finite number of cumulants of the distribution.Baryon number distributions across the chiral phase transition are reconstructed.It is deduced that with the increase of the order of cumulants,distribution in the long tails,i.e.,far away from the central number,would become increasingly important.We also reconstruct the distribution function based on the experimentally measured cumulants at the collision energy sNN−−−√=7.77 GeV.Given the sizable error of the fourth-order cumulant measured in the experiments,the calculation of MEM shows that with the increasing fourth-order cumulant,there is another peak in the distribution function developed in the region of the large baryon number.This unnaturalness observed in the reconstructed distribution function could in turn be used to constrain the cumulants measured in the experiments. 展开更多

This also helps to predict th... National policies and legal decisions are very much dependent on the position of the shoreline. Shoreline change rates are frequently employed to summarize historical shoreline movements. This also helps to predict the future position of the shoreline based on the perceived historical trends. In this regard, the future shoreline positions at both the long-term, that is 2050, and short-term, that is 2015, time interval was predicted using the End Point Rate (EPR) model along the Junput Coast of West Bengal, India. The whole project work was divided into five parts. The first part showed the detection of shoreline from satellite data like IRS LISS IV and Landsat 7 ETM+ and from the Survey of India Toposheet. The second part gave the glimpse of the dynamic segmentation of the shoreline to get the dynamically segmented nodal points along the shoreline. Shoreline prediction for the years 2015 and 2050 using End Point Rate (EPR) model was done in the third part. In the fourth part, Coastal Terrain Model (CTM) was prepared, and the digital shoreline estimated. The model result was validated and accuracy assessed with respect to the GPS data collected from the field at the fifth stage. Finally at the end of the present work, limitations of the project and the future scope of the work was sited. 展开更多

It is shown that the higher order scaled moment of transverse momentum can serve as an appropriate signal for the critical point, provided the transverse momentum distribution has a sudden change when energy increases passing through this point. A 2-D percolation model with a linear temperature gradient is constructed to check this suggestion. A sudden change of third order scaled moment of transverse momentum is observed. 展开更多

The chiral phase transition and equation of state are studied within a novel self-consistent mean-field approximation of the two-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model.In this newly developed model,modifications to the chemical μand chiral chemical μ5 potentials are naturally included by introducing vector and axial-vector channels from Fierz-transformed Lagrangian to the standard Lagrangian.In the proper-time scheme,the chiral phase transition is a crossover in the T-μ plane.However,when μ5 is incorporated,our study demonstrates that a first order phase transition may emerge.Furthermore,the chiral imbalance will soften the equation of state of quark matter.The mass-radius relationship and tidal deformability of quark stars are calculated.The maximum mass and radius decrease as μ5 increases.Our study also indicates that the vector and axial-vector channels exhibit an opposite influence on the equation of state. 展开更多
