Mobile cloud computing(MCC) combines mobile Internet and cloud computing to improve the performance of mobile applications. However, MCC faces the problem of energy efficiency because of randomly varying channels. A scheduling algorithm is proposed by introducing the Lyapunov optimization, which can dynamically choose users to transmit data based on queue backlog and channel statistics. The Lyapunov analysis shows that the proposed scheduling algorithm can make a tradeoff between queue backlog and energy consumption in the channel-aware mobile cloud computing system. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

This paper designs a mechanical swing of placementing mobile phone, which is inspired by the mechanical watch automatic winding process. The use of the kinetic energy generated by human body motion drives the wheel swing and the generator, it can carry out mobile phone additional charge through the electronic components rectifier and DC/DC converter regulator, the use of human motion and light energy can extend a fixed charge mobile phone standby time. The human motion power uses electromagnetic coupling technique and collects energy by using foot swing, solar power generation uses DSP chip in TMS320F28927 control a plurality of charging circuit, inverter circuit and solar maximum power point tracking by sampling and multiple output PWM wave. Finally, charging process has the basic constant current process discovered by device testing, the design of human motion and light energy mobile phone charger can satisfy the need of mobile phone rechargeable lithium batteries. 展开更多

Energy storage systems (ESSs) are acknowledged to be a promising option to cope with issues in high penetration of renewable energy and guarantee a highly reliable power supply. In this paper, a two-step optimal allocation model is proposed to obtain the optimal allocation (location and size) of stationary ESSs (SESSs) and mobile ESSs (MESSs) in the resilient distribution networks (DNs). In the first step, a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem is formulated to obtain the preselected location of ESSs with consideration of different scenarios under normal operation conditions. In the second step, a two-stage robust optimization model is established to get the optimal allocation results of ESSs under failure operation conditions which are solved by column-and-constraint generation (C&CG) algorithm. A hybrid ESS allocation strategy based on the subjective and objective weight analysis is proposed to give the final allocation scheme of SESSs and MESSs. Finally, the proposed two-step optimal allocation model is demonstrated on a modified IEEE 33-bus system to show its effectiveness and merits. 展开更多

The operation characteristics of energy storage can help the distribution network absorb more renewable energy while improving the safety and economy of the power system.Mobile energy storage systems(MESSs)have a broad application market compared with stationary energy storage systems and electric vehicles due to their flexible mobility and good dispatch ability.However,when urban traffic flows rise,the congested traffic environment will prolong the transit time of MESS,which will ultimately affect the operation state of the power networks and the economic benefits of MESS.This paper proposes a bi-level optimization model for the economic operation of MESS in coupled transportation-power networks,considering road congestion and the operation constraints of the power networks.The upper-level model depicts the daily operation scheme of MESS devised by the distribution network operator(DNO)in order to maximize the total revenue of the system.With fuzzy time windows and fuzzy road congestion indexes,the lower-level model optimizes the route for the transit problem of MESS.Therefore,road congestion that affects the transit time of MESS can be fully incorporated in the optimal operation scheme.Both the IEEE 33-bus distribution network and the 29-node transportation network are used to verify and examine the effectiveness of the proposed model.The simulation results demonstrate that the operation scheme of MESS will avoid the congestion period when considering road congestion.Besides,the transit energy consumption and the impact of the traffic environment on the economic benefits of MESS can be reduced. 展开更多

Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) have many applications, such as climate monitoring systems, fire detection, smart homes, and smart cities. It is expected that WSNs will be integrated into the Internet of Things(IoT)and participate in various tasks. WSNs play an important role monitoring and reporting environment information and collecting surrounding context. In this paper we consider a WSN deployed for an application such as environment monitoring, and a mobile sink which acts as the gateway between the Internet and the WSN. Data gathering is a challenging problem in WSNs and in the IoT because the information has to be available quickly and effectively without delays and redundancies. In this paper we propose several distributed algorithms for composite event detection and reporting to a mobile sink. Once data is collected by the sink, it can be shared using the IoT infrastructure. We analyze the performance of our algorithms using WSNet simulator, which is specially designed for event-based WSNs. We measure various metrics such as average residual energy, percentage of composite events processed successfully at the sink, and the average number of hops to reach the sink. 展开更多
