Medium-term and Long-term Environmental Economic Policies on Thermal Power Industry in China Seen from the New Environment Protection Law

In the newly revised Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China that has been implemented since January 1,2015,there is a lot of emphasis on environmental economic policies. In this paper,according to the current situation of environmental pollution and protection in thermal power industry,it is proposed that based on the new environmental protection law,it is needed to study various environmental economic policies on thermal power industry and analyze the effects on environmental cost of thermal power enterprises at the macro level. At the micro level,it is necessary to control environmental cost of thermal power enterprises effectively,and establish a suitable environmental management system for environmental economic policies including environmental cost accounting and trading of emission rights,thereby improving environmental management level of thermal power enterprises.

Dynamic trend analysis on relational effect of environmental protection industry in China

EPI （environmental protection indastry） and three industries constitute aur national economic structuse. By Grey System Theory and correlation effect analytical method for the first time, this paper analyzes the relatioaship degree between environmental protection industry and the three causes including industries involved in China in both qualitative and quantitotive aspects. Both the innate tale and the realistic reasons nf the relational degree are further analyzed by utilizing sastninoble development theory, circulating economy theol., ecological equilibrium theory, externality theory. industrial structure theory, and ecology prinrity rules. From all the analysts, this paper reveals the relationship between EPI and three industries. In addition, it offers suggestions to the feasibility of adjusting the industrial structure and developing the environmental protection industry in our country.

The Low-Carbon and Environmental Protection of Textile and Garment in China

It should be transformed from the extensive development in the past to the new normal form of environmentally friendly pattern of “save energy, lower consumption and less pollution” in the Textile and Garment. For the pollution problem in China’s textile and garment industry, the author particularly analyzes the pollution of the textile and garment industry mainly occurred in the process of textile and clothing production and sales in this article. Research on the application of the environmental protection systems in Lijiang branded hotels

With the rapid development of the tourist industry in Lijiang, the famous hotels in Lijiang not only bring to the local area the enhancement of the international influence and the levels of the service, but also bring the international experience in the management of the environmental protection. Through the field investigation and interviews, the author compares the characteristics of the environmental protection systems that the branded hotels in Lijiang apply, and summarizes the performances that some of the hotels obtain in the application of the environmental protection systems, and finally puts forward the related suggestions for Lijiang on the construction of the national model city of the environmental protection.

Costs and Benefits of China＇s Environmental Regulation

This paper examines the current costs, benefits and intensity of China＇s industrial environment regulation, as well as the path of regulatory enhancement. Regulatory intensity has been on the rise since 1997. The intensity was only 43 in 1997 and then reached 68 by 2007. This paper for the first time compares the treatment costs at the front and rear ends of pollution chain, employs the concept of regulatory benefit multiplier, and calculates the benefit multipliers for different pollutants. Results indicate that enhanced environmental protection since 1997 makes social and economic sense, particularly for the front end treatment of various pollutants since 2004, which have considerable economic benefits. After comparing the benefit multipliers, we have prioritized the pollutants for regulatory consideration： environmental regulation shouM be made tougher for waste water first, and then dust and fumes, followed by SO2 and lastly CO2. This will help to achieve the best environmental outcomes while incurring no additional economic costs.

Path toward Environment-Friendly Industrialization： A Survey on the Practice of Xixia County

Whether industrialization and environmental protection can coexist has always been controversial theoretical question. On this topic, the protected watershed area of Xixia County provides an interesting case study. 91% of Xixia County＇s 3,15 7 square kilometers, which belongs to Nanyang City of Henan Province and is located in the protected water source area of the country＇s South-to-North Water Diversion Project, is designated water source protection zones. Driven by the need to protect these resources, Xixia County has made remarkable achievements in the field of environmental protection. Simultaneously, the county s economy has also made significant progress. In addition to its favorable geography and natural resources, Xixia County derives its successful environmental protection practices from the following factors： first, a series of environmental protection policies issued by the central government; second, Xixia County＇s emphasis on environmental protection; and third, local businesses＇ efforts to protect the environment. Xixia＇s experience has demonstrated that environmental protection can be successfully balanced with economic development when local industrial development generates resources that contribute to favorable environmental programs.

Environmental Challenges to Thermal Power Construction

Environmental protection challenges thermal power construction from respects of the reform of investment system, main industrial policies and plant site selection in China. Pollution control of thermal power plants is analyzed from the angles of increasingly stringent laws, regulations and standards as well as approval procedures of thermal power projects. The paper points out emphatically that the plant site selection of a thermal power project must satisfy various requirements of rules and regulations, development programme and environmental ftmctions, etc. Different criteria of dust, SO2, NOx and other pollutants control are enumerated speeially.

Research on Key Points of Design of Standard Plants in Modern Industrial Parks Under the Background of Promoting the Development of New Quality Productive Forces

Development trends of environmental protection technologies for Chinese steel industry

Chinese steel industry has made significant progress on reducing fresh water consumption and CO_2/SO_2/COD（ chemical oxygen demand） /dust emissions,and improving comprehensive utilization of solid waste. Some steel companies have become topped worldwide. However,due to the large output quantity of crude steel,the whole steel industry is still a huge source of pollutants. At present,environmental protection standards are encountering challenges of lack of technical support,taxation policy and other issues. Steel industry is currently facing enormous environmental pressure. The development trends of environmental protection technologies were studied by summarizing different development stages. To realize the development targets,the industry needs to carry out its research with independent intellectual property rights,develop comprehensive management systems and establish ecological chain with other industries. This can not only raise the level of environmental protection in a broader range,but also improve the energy efficiency of iron and steel plants and increase added value of waste utilization. Finally,23 environmental protection technologies were proposed and 4 new environmental protection practices were studied.

企业环保投资的治理效应——基于杠杆操纵视角

企业为避免监管以及满足融资需求而进行的杠杆操纵行为屡见不鲜。在强调可持续发展理念的时代变局中,为环境绩效付诸的努力能否对企业杠杆操纵起到治理效应亟待讨论。本文以2012~2023年沪深A股上市公司为样本,探究企业环保投资对杠杆操纵行为的影响及其潜在的作用渠道。研究发现,环保投资能够显著降低企业的杠杆操纵程度,并且这一影响受到地区环境规制力度、重污染行业属性以及低市场竞争度的强化。渠道检验结果表明,环保投资能帮助企业获取债权融资、提升ESG表现,进而实现对企业杠杆操纵行为的治理效应。本文从杠杆操纵的视角揭示了环保投资在公司治理中的积极作用,凸显了践行可持续发展理念在提高上市公司会计信息质量中的重要地位,为政府部门监管企业行为提供了来自环保实践层面的启示。

New Industrial Revolution and Environmental Protection

Serious environmental problems have appeared in China since the rapid economic growth 30 years ago, which affect human’s health and become a limiting factor for further development. It has brought about the rethinking of traditional ways for economy development and environmental protection, and realized that the change in the model of development and environment protection is of significance. A new industrial revolution is needed for protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development. This paper discusses the characteristics of the new industrial revolution for sustainable development including cleaner production, circular economy, and industrial ecology. Dimensions of Enforcement Style--Understanding Enforcement of Pollution Regulations in Petroleum Industry

This study explores how the concept of enforcement style can be adapted to be more analytically useful in the study of environmental regulation,based on case studies of pollution control in the sector of petroleum industry in China. Inspired by earlier western studies on the theme of enforcement style,this article proposes a creative dimension for analyzing enforcement styles. It is suggested that enforcement styles comprise the degree of formalism,the degree of coercion,and the degree of willingness to enforcement. The second contribution is in showing the relationship of different types of enforcement styles to the three dimensions. In addition,we analyze the enforcement styles in the sector of pollution control of petroleum industry based on the refined hypothesize and draw out lessons to be learnt.

Developing Honeybee Breeding Industry to Revitalize Rural Economy

[Objectives]In Tibet,the efficiency of beekeeping industry is low,the abundant nectariferous plants and the non-polluting natural ecological environment are not fully utilized,the pollination of rapeseed and other insect-based crops is insufficient,and benefits are not brought by beekeeping.[Methods]In response to these problems,Italian bees were first introduced since 2004,and combined with the special natural ecological environment of Tibet,researches on Italian bee biology,queen rearing technology,overwintering technology,and breeding management technology were carried out in high altitude areas.[Results]Through many years of effort,it has filled the gap in bee breeding technology at an altitude of about 4000 m.[Conclusions]It is expected to provide a new pillar industry for Tibetan farmers and herdsmen to increase production and income.
