With the incessant propulsion of the Open Door Policy,which is related to the consolidation of international collaborative partnerships,an increasing number of Chinese companies are moving toward cooperating countries to participate in infrastructure construction,employing a win-win strategy in favor of the people and governments of both countries.Among the cooperation domains,our country’s electrical companies have achieved a series of remarkable results in the international Engineering,Procurement,and Construction(EPC)project market with their outstanding business capabilities and technical advantages.Nevertheless,some shortcomings cannot be overlooked,the most notable of which appears to be the impediment associated with engineering translation,which has always been an obsession among translators of Chinese companies.Taking the transmission line project in the Republic of Madagascar as an example,an analysis of French-Chinese translation methods of electrical engineering terminology in the field of the transmission line is carried out. 展开更多

There are learners who cannot solve practical problems in spite of mastering basic scientific knowledge and formula necessary for the solution. One of the reasons might be attributed to the lack in metacognitive abilities. The aim of this study was to compare the metacognitive characteristics between non-major and major students in electric engineering and clarify the difference of metacognitive process between these two groups when solving basic problems of electronic circuit. In the experiment, the solving process was compared between non-major and major students in electric engineering using five basic problems. We found that the scores on prediction of result and confidence of own answer differed significantly between non-major and major students, and inferred that the difference of performance was due to the lack in metacognitive ability, especially the plan and the execution abilities. Both prediction of results and confidence of own answer were also found to play a significant role in effective problem solving as important components (subsystems) of metacognition. 展开更多

A dynamic cylinder-by-cylinder model is proposed, base on slider-crank mechanism, which is extended to develop a digital governor providing a high fidelity estimation of rotary speed oscillation for hybrid vehicle engines. A modified PID controller that P and I gain is placed in feedback path is also described for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) engine speed regulation, By comparison between measured and estimated signals, it is demonstrated that a good agreement has been achieved and the governor behaves an excellent damping speed ripple. 展开更多

In this research report, various Machine Learning (ML) models are discussed for the purpose of detecting brain anomalies like tumors. In the first step, we review previous work that uses Deep Learning (DL) to classify and detect brain tumors. Next, we present a detailed analysis of the ML methods in tabular form to address the brain tumor morphology, accessible datasets, segmentation, extraction, and classification using DL, and ML models. Finally, we summarize all relevant material for tumor detection, including the merits, limitations and future directions. In this study, it is found that employing DL-based and hybrid-based metaheuristic approaches proves to be more effective in accurately segmenting brain tumors, compared to the conventional methods. However, the brain tumor segmentation using ML models suffers from drawbacks due to limited labelled data, variability in tumor appearance, computational memory requirements, transparency in models, and difficulty in integration into clinical workflows. By pursuing techniques such as Data Augmentation, Pre-training, Active-learning, Multimodal fusion, Hardware acceleration, and Clinical integration, researchers and developers can overcome the bottlenecks and enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and clinical utility of ML-based brain tumor segmentation models. 展开更多

The loyal agents update their states based on delayed state information exchanged with their neighbors. Meanwhile, the attack agents can strategically send messages with wrong values, or collude with other attack agents to disrupt the correct operation of the system. We design a novel delay robust secure consensus DRSC algorithm according to the neighboring nodes U2BC delayed information. Convergence analysis of the system under the protocol designed is provided by using Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory and Barbalat-like argument approach. The starting process was analyzed and the model of wound-field synchronous electric machine was established. The change of field current of the electric machine was described mathematically for simplified exciter and rotate rectifier. Based on the traditional field control, the flux linkage compensation was introduced in d-axis current to counteract the flux ripple. Some simulation and preliminary experiments were implemented. Then in order to characterize the competitive and cooperative interactions among pedestrians, fractional mean field games are utilized in the modeling problem when the number of pedestrians goes to infinity and fractional dynamic model composed of fractional backward and fractional forward equations are constructed in macro scale. Fractional micromacro model for crowds of pedestrians are obtained in the end. The exploding foil,which is a main influence factor of exploding foil initiator(EFI),was studied to improve the utilization rate of energy in EFI.The burst currents of three bridge foils with different shapes were measured,and the sensitivity of initiation charge made of HNS-IV was tested by slappers.The test results show that,for O-shaped bridge foil,the burst current density is maximal,and the initiating voltage at 50% of firing probability of HNS-IV is minimal.The O-shaped bridge foil can be used to improve the utilization rate of energy in EFI and reduce the firing energy. 展开更多
