The need for the analysis of modern businesses is rapidly increasing as the supporting enterprise systems generate more and more data.This data can be extremely valuable for executing organizations because the data al...The need for the analysis of modern businesses is rapidly increasing as the supporting enterprise systems generate more and more data.This data can be extremely valuable for executing organizations because the data allows constant monitoring,analyzing,and improving the underlying processes,which leads to the reduction of cost and the improvement of the quality.Process mining is a useful technique for analyzing enterprise systems by using an event log that contains behaviours.This research focuses on the process discovery and refinement using real-life event log data collected from a large multinational organization that deals with coatings and paints.By investigating and analyzing their order handling pro-cesses,this study aims at learning a model that gives insight inspection of the processes and performance analysis.Furthermore,the animation is also performed for the better inspection,diagnostics,and compliance-related questions to specify the system.The configuration of the system and the conformance checking for further enhancement is also addressed in this research.To achieve the objectives,this research uses process mining techniques,i.e.process discovery in the form of formal Petri nets models with the help of process maps,and process refinement through conformance checking and enhancement.Initially,the identified executed process is reconstructed by using the process discovery techniques.Following the reconstruction,we perform a deep analysis for the underlying process to ensure the process improvement and redesigning.Finally,some recommendations are made to improve the enterprise management system processes.展开更多

This system is based o...This paper proposes an intelligent management system (IMS) to help managers in their delicate and tedious task of exploiting the plethora of data (indicators) contained in management dashboards. This system is based on intelligent agents, ontologies and data mining. It is implemented by PASSI (Process for Agent Societies Specification and Implementation) methods for agent design and implementation, the Methodology for Knowledge Modeling and Hot-Winters for data prediction. Intelligent agents not only track indicators but also store the knowledge of managers within the company. Ontologies are used to manage the representation and presentation aspects of knowledge. Data mining makes it possible to: make the most of all available data;model the industrial process of data selection, exploration and modeling;and transform behaviors into predictive indicators. An instance of the IMS named SYGISS, currently in operation within a large brewery organization, allows us to observe very interesting results: the extraction of indicators is done in less than 5 minutes whereas manual extraction used to take 14 days;the generation of dashboards is instantaneous whereas it used to take 12 hours;the interpretation of indicators is instantaneous whereas it used to take a day;forecasts are possible and are done in less than 5 minutes whereas they did not exist with the old management. Usin...We document the effect of the 2007/2008 financial crisis on the volume and the quality of enterprise risk management (ERM) disclosure in the annual reports of the largest US banks, and analyze its determinants. Using a content analysis approach of the annual reports form 10-K for the years 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, we find that the ERM disclosure is significantly and positively associated with the crisis, bank size, board independence, duality and significantly and negatively associated with profitability, leverage, and board size. This paper seeks to fill a gap in the literature by investigating the effect of the crisis on ERM disclosure in the US banking sector context, and gives an insight into the factors affecting risk disclosure practices during the financial crisis.展开更多

文摘In view of economic globalization,China’s economy has entered a stage of normalized development.In the post pandemic era,the costs of raw materials,production,sales,and labor in Chinese enterprises continue to increase,leading to severe competitive pressure among the enterprises.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to actively apply the relevant theories of management economics to guide the cost management of Chinese enterprises,improve their economic benefits,and promote healthy and sustainable development.Currently,there are still many problems in terms of cost management in Chinese enterprises.Therefore,it is crucial to address these problems and further improve the effectiveness of cost management.This paper presents an overview of cost management and an analysis of the specific problems and provide corresponding countermeasures,in hopes of to providing a reference for cost management in enterprises and achieve the goal of stable and sustainable development of China’s economy.

But the real realization of the plan relies on running of performance evaluation system. Only scientific and fair assessment of manager performance can we implement various salary system on only reliable basis, which is the key importance for the manager performance evaluation.

文摘The process of converting audit findings into actionable improvement measures within an enterprise is pivotal for achieving the“value-added”objective of internal audits and fostering sustainable business development.By elucidating the definition and significance of transforming internal audit results,this study underscores the imperative of applying and effectively converting these findings.Additionally,it seeks to streamline the value assessment framework for internal audit result transformation and delineates key factors that impede this transformation.Furthermore,this study explores strategies to bolster the closed-loop audit management system and outlines specific methods for enhancing the transformation of internal audit results within the enterprise,thereby contributing to its overall progress.
文摘We document the effect of the 2007/2008 financial crisis on the volume and the quality of enterprise risk management (ERM) disclosure in the annual reports of the largest US banks, and analyze its determinants. Using a content analysis approach of the annual reports form 10-K for the years 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, we find that the ERM disclosure is significantly and positively associated with the crisis, bank size, board independence, duality and significantly and negatively associated with profitability, leverage, and board size. This paper seeks to fill a gap in the literature by investigating the effect of the crisis on ERM disclosure in the US banking sector context, and gives an insight into the factors affecting risk disclosure practices during the financial crisis.
