Research on applying the interests distribution method of enterprise-university-research institute cooperation based on nash model

In order to get an acceptable interests-distribution scheme for each partner of enterprise-university-research institute cooperation in advance,based on Nash model,the paper designs the interest distribution method of enterprise-university-research institute cooperation and provides the basis for determining the weight of each partner in accordance with the interest distribution principles and subjected relations between major factors in enterprise-university-research institute cooperation.Also,in combination with one example,an applicable method is provided to distribute interest in enterprise-university-research institute cooperation.The study gives some references for interests-distribution of enterprise-university-research institute cooperation.

A Study on the Cross-Cultural Adaptation of International Chinese Teachers at Confucius Institutes in South Korea

International Chinese teachers are one of the determinants of the quality development of Confucius Institutes,and their cross-cultural sociocultural adaption,psychological adaption,and job adaption are in need of in-depth investigation and research.Based on previous research,this paper analyzed the cross-cultural adaptation of international Chinese teachers at Confucius Institutes in South Korea during 2022-2023 through surveys and personal interviews.The study found that the teachers’adaptation was best in terms of work,followed by sociocultural adaptation,and weakest in terms of psychological adaptation.In terms of work adaptation,attention should be focused on adapting to teaching language and teaching methods.In terms of sociocultural adaptation,the focus should be on adapting to personal communication.In terms of psychological adaptation,attention should be paid to feelings of loneliness and anxiety.The study also focused on the internal and external factors influencing their cross-cultural adaptation,as well as the true inner feelings of international Chinese teachers.The study found that factors such as English proficiency,gender,education,professional background,and overseas experience had little impact on teachers’cross-cultural adaptation,while factors such as Korean proficiency,participation in cross-cultural training before going to South Korea,understanding of Korean culture before going to South Korea,and length of time spent in working in South Korea had a greater impact on the cross-cultural adaptation of the research subjects.This study provides reliable reference materials for international Chinese teachers going to South Korea to improve their cross-cultural adaptation abilities and promote the reform and innovation of international Chinese education.

Applying Learning Community Theory to Oral English Teaching in Sport Institutes

Since traditional English teaching method, which merely focuses on language teaching but ignores communicative competence, severely impedes the development of students' oral ability. It is high time that English teachers took measures to find a workable and valuable teaching method which can improve students' speaking proficiency effectively. Learning community theory provides a broad space for this, for it regards learning as a process which takes place in a community where the learners are sharing their experience towards knowledge building in an interactive and cooperative way.

Development of an Arabic version of the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire as a tool to study eye diseases patients in Egypt

AIM:To develop and test an Arabic version of the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire-25(NEI-VFQ-25).METHODS:NEI-VFQ-25 was translated into Arabic according to WHO translation guidelines. We enrolled adult consenting patients with bilateral chronic eye diseases who presented to 14 hospitals across Egypt from October to December 2012, and documented their clinical findings. Psychometric properties were then tested using STATA.RESULTS:We recruited 379 patients, whose mean age was(54.5±15)y. Of 46.2% were males, 227 had cataract,31 had glaucoma, 23 had retinal detachment, 37 had diabetic retinopathy, and 61 had miscellaneous visual defects. Non-response rate and the floor and ceiling numbers of the Arabic version(ARB-VFQ-25) were calculated. Internal consistency was high in all subscales(except general health), with Cronbach-α ranging from0.702-0.911. Test-retest reliability was high(intraclass correlation coefficient 0.79).CONCLUSION:RB-VFQ-25 isareliableandvalidtool for assessing visual functions of Arabic speaking patients. However, some questions had high non-response rates and should be substituted by available alternatives. Our results support the importance of including self-reported visual functions as part of routine ophthalmologic examination.

Predicting the presence of adenomatous polyps during colonoscopy with National Cancer Institute Colorectal Cancer Risk-Assessment Tool

AIM To evaluate the National Cancer Institute(NCI)Colorectal Cancer(CRC)Risk Assessment Tool as a predictor for the presence of adenomatous polyps(AP) found during screening or surveillance colonoscopy.METHODS This is a retrospective single center observational study.We collected data of adenomatous polyps in each colonoscopy and then evaluated the lifetime CRC risk.We calculated the AP prevalence across risk score quintiles,odds ratios of the prevalence of AP across risk score quintiles,area under curves(AUCs)and Youden’s indexes to assess the optimal risk score cut off value for AP prevalence status.RESULTS The prevalence of AP gradually increased throughout the five risk score quintiles:i.e.,27.63%in the first and 51.35%in the fifth quintile.The odd ratios of AP prevalence in the fifth quintile compared to the first and second quintile were 2.76[confidence interval(CI):1.71-4.47]and 2.09(CI:1.32-3.30).The AUC for all patients was 0.62(CI:0.58-0.66).Youden’s Index indicated the optimal risk score cutoff value discriminating AP prevalence status was 3.60.CONCLUSION Patients with the higher NCI risk score have higher risk of AP and subsequent CRC;therefore,measures to increase the effectiveness of CRC detection in these patients include longer withdrawal time,early surveillance colonoscopy,and choosing flexible colonoscopy over other CRC screening modalities.

This paper depicts the definition,elements and connotation of the culture of innovation in agricultural research institutes,and points out that the culture of innovation consists of conceptual culture,institutional culture,behaviour culture,and park culture.Through analysing the characteristics of the culture of innovation in agricultural research institutes,it has the following characteristics:stability,openness,systematicness,self-awareness,uniqueness.According to the general law of cultural development,we divide the development of the culture of innovation into cultural diagnosis of institutes,publicity and guidance,content building of the culture of innovation,solidifying and deepening of the culture of innovation,and points out the building path of the culture of innovation in agricultural research institutes.Finally this paper proposes the countermeasures and suggestions as follows:the building of the culture of innovation in agricultural research institutes should be combined with long-term development strategy;the building of the culture of innovation in agricultural research institutes should be combined with service and technology innovation;the building of the culture of innovation in agricultural research institutes should be combined with implementation of various kinds of specific work.

Brief analysis of English teaching in vocational institutes

Dutch version of the Victorian Institute of Sports Assessment-Achilles questionnaire for Achilles tendinopathy: Reliability, validity and applicability to non-athletes

AIM To translate the Victorian Institute of Sports AssessmentAchilles(VISA-A) questionnaire into the Dutch language(VISA-A-NL), and to assess its reliability, validity, and applicability to non-athletes.METHODS After translation according to a forward-backward protocol, 101 patients with complaints of Achilles tendinopathy were asked to fill out the VISA-A-NL at two time points together with visual analogue scale, the Foot and Ankle Outcome Score, and the Short Form-36 questionnaires. Reliability, internal consistency, construct validity, and content validity were tested.RESULTS The VISA-A-NL showed high reliability(0.97, 95%CI: 0.95-0.98). Cronbach's alpha(internal consistency) was 0.80. It increased to 0.88 without activity domain. Correlation with other questionnaires was moderate or poorer.CONCLUSION The VISA-A-NL proved to be an excellent evaluation instrument for the Dutch physician. If applied to nonathletes, using a modified score(questions 1-6) should be considered.

Preface to special issue on celebrating the 40th anniversary of Institute of Catalysis, Zhejiang University

In 1978, Professor Songshou Jin, a Chinese prestigious physical chemist, established Institute of Catalysis, Hangzhou University, the forerunner of Institute of Catalysis, Zhejiang University. In 1998, the current Institute of Catalysis was re-established through the merger of Zhejiang University and Hangzhou University et al. During the past forty years, researchers in Institute of Catalysis had always paid much attention to the combination of fundamental researches and industrial applications under the lead of Songshou Jin, Xiaoming Zheng, Weimin Lu, Hui Lou, and Yong Wang. The major research interest includes:(1) basic application research and exploitation of catalysts and catalytic process regarding conversion of biomass, methane, syngas and carbon dioxide;(2) development of catalysts and reaction apparatus for industrial hazardous gas, indoor gas, vehicle emissions and oil smoke from hotels and restaurants;(3) synthesis, characterization of functional materials and their applications in the green synthesis in fields of medicine, pesticide and fine chemical;(4) heterogeneous and homogeneous catalytic reaction kinetics and surface chemistry;(5) catalytic researches regarding military project.
