With the continuous deepening of urbanization,the focus of urban construction has shifted to internal renewal,and the phenomenon of decreased vitality caused by the spatial limitations of pedestrian bridges with a single transportation function as the main focus has gradually emerged.Based on this,environmental behavior theory is used to seek the convergence point between the material space and behavioral activities of pedestrian bridges to solve this dilemma.In this paper,the pedestrian bridge of Southwest Hospital of Army Medical University is taken as an example.Starting from the three types of spaces of pedestrian bridges,through behavior observation,interview research,and data analysis,the correlation between the material space of pedestrian bridges and the behavioral characteristics of the population is analyzed,stimulating the spatial vitality of pedestrian bridges,and providing reference for the sustainable development,construction,and renovation of pedestrian bridges. 展开更多

Families'large pollution and energy consumption cannot be underestimated.In order to realize and internalize environmental awareness as a social consensus,it is imperative for every member of a household to be involved in transforming everyday behavior.Intergenerational interactions are of paramount importance.Accordingly,the focus of this study was on parent-adolescent interactions,their reciprocal impact on environmental behaviors,and the factors that have an influence on these processes.Questionnaires were employed to collect information of 684 families in 10 districts of Jinan,the capital of Shandong Province.Subsequently,interviews were conducted with 15 of these families to comprehend the tangible reasons underlying intergenerational interactions in environmental behaviors.First,a paired sample T-test was employed to compare the frequency of these interactions.The data showed that while the T values were positive in all eight compared groups,there were significant differences in seven of them.These results suggest that the impact of intergenerational interactions on environmental behaviors is not symmetrical:parents'instructions are far more frequent than adolescents'back-feeding of ecological notions.The interviews revealed that this phenomenon was generated primarily by unequal experiences between parents and adolescents because the latter do not participate in housework and family projects.Furthermore,the traditional concept of intergenerational order appears to be permanent.Second,two linear regression models,a Parent-to-Adolescent model and an Adolescent-to-Parent model that encompassed several factors including family structure,intergenerational relationships,living environment,and families'social class were developed.Among these factors,the intergenerational relationship variable played a particularly significant role:the more equal and open-minded dialogs are incorporated into parent-adolescent communication,the more favorable interactions may occur for development of their environmental behaviors.Thus,when an environmental education system with families is constructed,it is imperative to promote a parent's ecological awareness with the help of grass-roots organizations by means of reasonable rewards and punishments to redress their former behaviors so as to let Big Hands Guide Small Hands.It is also crucial to enhance a more equal intergenerational relationship through parents'schooling or other relevant services so as to create a favorable atmosphere for Small Hands Guide Big Hands. 展开更多

Microplastics(MPs)have been one of the most concerned environmental issues since the 21st century.MPs are plastic particles with diameters less than 5 mm,which are widely sourced in the aquatic environment.After being released into the aquatic environment,MPs would experience complicated physical,chemical and biological aging processes driven by mechanical forces,photooxidation,and biological degradation,which would result in changes in MPs’physicochemical properties,such as the particle size,specific surface area,hydrophobicity,crystallinity,etc.In this review,we have illustrated the current study status on MPs’environmental aging processes and pointed out the knowledge gaps.MPs’aging processes would consequentially influence MPs’interaction with the co-existing organic and inorganic pollutants in the aquatic environment as well as lead to the leaching of chemical additives involved in plastic production,including plasticizers and flame retardants,which can trigger high ecotoxicity to the aquatic environment.Furthermore,aged MPs would cause ecotoxicity to aquatic organisms via bioaccumulation,biomagnification,and indirect carrier pathways.The review would provide an in-depth overview of MPs’environmental aging processes and consequential ecotoxicity implications,as well as propose future research needs. 展开更多

Perfluoroalkyl acids(PFAAs)are emerging persistent organic pollutants that are globally distributed in the environment.In the present review,the occurrence of PFAAs and their behavior in aquatic ecosystem were summarized,and the health and ecological risk assessment and the multimedia fate simulation were investigated.PFAAs are most likely to exist in the aqueous phase,and PFAAs in atmosphere are also able to enter water bodies through diffusion and wet and dry deposition and eventually become widely distributed in various environmental media.The air-solid partition is considered to be one of the major factors in the long-distance transportation of the pollutants.The pKa values and organic carbon fraction of the sediment could influence the partition of PFAAs between water and sediment.Otherwise,PFAAs have teratogenic,mutagenic and other toxic effects and they could be accumulated by biota,and magnified through trophic level.The ecological and health risks of PFOA and PFOS were assessment.In order to explore the partition mechanism and reduce the uncertainty of the simulation of the transport,transformation and fate,the experimental methods on physicochemical properties of PFAAs should be developed.Moreover,further studies on toxicities of PFAAs are necessary for health and ecological risk assessment. 展开更多

Microplastics(MPs)are emerging contaminants that have attracted worldwide attention in recent years.Compared with MPs,nanoplastics(NPs)may exhibit greater toxicity and higher potential risks because of their unique physiochemical nanoscale properties.However,the environmental fate,ecosystem toxicity,and potential risks associated with NPs have been less explored.This study summarizes the current research status of NPs through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis.The research hotspots and future trends of NPs were identified.We comprehensively searched the Web of Science Core Collection scientific database from its inception(2004)to November 26,2020.The results showed that the number of papers on NPs has increased significantly since 2014.The keywords used in NP research were divided into three clusters.Cluster 1 related to the physical,chemical,and biological behaviors of NPs in aquatic environments.Cluster 2 represented a relatively new and hot research field concerning the exposure,accumulation,and toxicity of NPs in organisms.Cluster 3 corresponded to the identification and quantification of NPs in marine environments and sediments.Moreover,we systematically elaborated the main areas of NP research,such as the characterization,occurrence,environmental behavior,ecological toxicity,and human health risks of NPs.The results showed that the quantification of NPs at environmentally relevant concentrations remains a challenge.Most studies have investigated polystyrene NPs,spherical NPs,and NPs in marine environments,while few studies have examined the aggregation,deposition,and ecological toxicity of NPs under environmentally relevant conditions.In addition,much less is known about the human health risks associated with NPs because little research has been conducted on estimating the overall human exposure to NPs and its effect.Finally,the current challenges and future perspectives of NP research are discussed. 展开更多

Strengthening Mechanisms to Promote Tourists' Environmental Responsible Behaviors in the Context of All-for-One Tourism

On the basis of c... The overall promotion of all-for-one tourism requires tourists' civilized behaviors. This paper focused on tourists' environmental responsible behaviors in the context of all-for-one tourism. On the basis of clarifying the connotation, dimension and driving factors of tourists' environmental responsible behaviors, this paper firstly analyzed the relationship between all-for-one tourism and tourists' environmental responsible behaviors, and proposed that the development of all-for-one tourism was an important path to optimize and upgrade China's tourism industry and a new concept of sustainable development of tourism industry. The emergence of all-for-one tourism has formed a new tourism trend, which will drive tourists to behave more civilly. Tourists' environmental responsible behaviors are a "subject and share" concept, and from tourists' point of view, all-for-one tourism development is the most basic requirement. Secondly, based on the theory of "value-belief-norm", this paper focused on the strengthening mechanism of "interaction effect" between all-for-one tourism and tourists' environmental responsible behaviors, and put forward the idea of "double internalization strengthening" to guide tourists' environmental responsible behaviors from being passive to active, from individuals to groups. Finally, this paper discussed the promotion of environmental responsible behaviors of tourist's specific strategies from two aspects, "external drive" and "internal drive" to enhance the level of all-for-one tourism construction and strengthen the environment responsibility of tourists. "External drives" were as follows:(1) to make a scientific development plan to implement the "host and guest sharing" mechanism;(2) to optimize the landscape, the environment, services, enhance the local attachment of visitors;(3) to improve the infrastructure system, pay attention to the details of visitors' experience;(4) to strengthen environment education and publicity, deepening the quality of tourists' civilization construction, and strengthen the environmental responsible behaviors of tourists. "Internal drives" were as follows:(1) to strengthen the sense of environmental responsibility of tourists;(2) to establish a model of environmental responsible behaviors;(3) to strengthen the supervision of environmental responsible behaviors. 展开更多

It carried out analysis on the environmental knowledge,environmental awareness,community environmental norms,environmental laws and regulations,and environmental behavior. The coordination and optimization of eco-tourism development and world heritage protection are related to the sustainable development of the two,and the behavior of tea farmers is affected by the multiple subjects of rural production and living system,which has nonlinear and complex characteristics.In view of this,based on the theory of human-land system,this study is using system theory and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)to explore the internal mechanism of tea farmers‘environmental responsibility behavior.The results show that:(1)single factor,infrastructure environment perception constitutes a necessary condition for environmental responsibility behavior,and there is equivalence between infrastructure environment perception,Cultural environment perception,external intervention perception and environmental supervision perception.(2)Infrastructure environment perception and cultural environment perception are important internal driving forces for high environmental responsibility behavior,while external intervention perception and environmental supervision perception constitute external traction.(3)Infrastructure environment perception and cultural environment perception exist in all configurations in a single or common form.This provides enlightenment for changing the governance logic of ecotourism and improving the governance performance of ecotourism. 展开更多

Collision avoidance decision-making models of multiple agents in virtual driving environment are studied. Based on the behavioral characteristics and hierarchical structure of the collision avoidance decision-making in real life driving, delphi approach and mathematical statistics method are introduced to construct pair-wise comparison judgment matrix of collision avoidance decision choices to each collision situation. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is adopted to establish the agents' collision avoidance decision-making model. To simulate drivers' characteristics, driver factors are added to categorize driving modes into impatient mode, normal mode, and the cautious mode. The results show that this model can simulate human's thinking process, and the agents in the virtual environment can deal with collision situations and make decisions to avoid collisions without intervention. The model can also reflect diversity and uncertainly of real life driving behaviors, and solves the multi-objective, multi-choice ranking priority problem in multi-vehicle collision scenarios. This collision avoidance model of multi-agents model is feasible and effective, and can provide richer and closer-to-life virtual scene for driving simulator, reflecting real-life traffic environment more truly, this model can also promote the practicality of driving simulator. 展开更多

Self propagating high temperature synthesis(SHS) under compression was utilized to obtain an intermetallic compound Ni_3 Al by using elemental powders.The microstructure of the SHS product was observed by optical microscopy(OM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results reveal that the SHS Ni3Al is a single-phase polycrystalline alloy wilh LI2 crystal structure.Tensile tests were conducted from room temperature to 800℃ both in air and in vacuum.The results show that the SHS Ni_3Al exhibits an anomalous temperature dependence of ultimate tensile strength.The ultimate tensile strength in vacuum is much higher than that in air over the whole temperature range.Fracture surfaces are characterized by the brittle grain boundary fracture and the intergranular fracture mode can not be affected markedly by the test environment. 展开更多

With PRA survey method for obtaining questionnaire data and based on behavior geography and social psychology theory,farming-pastoral,dry grassland,desert grassland, typical project village alpine grassland of returning fazing land to grasslands as an example,with main body cognitive perspective of the aid of resources,the article analyzed space dissimilation of stakeholders environmental cognitive and behavior preference response in the area of returning grazing land to grasslands from ecological environment from policy environment,ecological environment and family economic environment aspects. The results showed that: stakeholders judgment of Grassland degradation in different ecological function area had obvious regularity,the cognitive proportion of Grassland degradation gradually increase from farming-pastora to alpine savanes. The satisfaction from returning grazing land to grasslands showed a changing tendency of reversed U. stakeholders had more strongly negative cognition in the area of dry steppe and desertsteppe. From farming-pastoral to alpine savanes,the economic environment tend to worse situation. Negative environmental behaviors tend to increase,Positive behavior on the contrary. 展开更多

Dissolved organic matter(DOM) is ubiquitous in the environment and has high reactivity.Once engineered nanoparticles(ENPs) are released into natural systems, interactions of DOM with ENPs may significantly affect the fate and transport of ENPs, as well as the bioavailability and toxicity of ENPs to organisms. However, because of the complexity of DOM and the shortage of useful characterization methods, large knowledge gaps exist in our understanding of the interactions between DOM and ENPs. In this article, we systematically reviewed the interactions between DOM and ENPs, discussed the effects of DOM on the environmental behavior of ENPs, and described the changes in bioavailability and toxicity of ENPs caused by DOM. Critical evaluations of published references suggest further need for assessing and predicting the influences of DOM on the transport,transformation, bioavailability, and toxicity of ENPs in the environment. 展开更多

Introduction:Environmental protection is an essential issue for sustainable development,and its execution power mainly comes from individual environmental protection behavior.This study investigates the resident environmental protection behaviors and influencing factors in the ecologically fragile areas of western China based on a total of 1062 households by adopting the participatory assessment method.Then,this study used the structural equation model to empirically analyze the impact of social capital,environmental risk perception,and environmental awareness on residents’environmental protection behavior.Outcomes:The results showed that environmental awareness is the basis for practicing environmental protection behavior,consistent with the existing research;social capital has a significant impact on residents’environmental protection behavior,with an impact coefficient of 0.347.Hence,environmental risk perception has an indirect influence on environmental protection behavior through environmental awareness.Besides,compared with urban residents,rural residents’environmental awareness and social capital have a stronger role in environmental protection behavior.Conclusions:The study clarified the influence path of residents’environmental protection behavior,thus effectively providing a decision-making basis for the government to guide residents in the environmental governance system. 展开更多

The establishment of the environmental management system in the financial sector can be effectively promoted through the introduction of the environmental protection concept and its implementation by the financial sector.The impact of a sustainable development system on the sector is analyzed in this article from three aspects:environmental risk assessment,financing support for environmental protection projects,and financial services to environmentally friendly corporations and individuals.Influential factors on the development of the environmental management system in China’s financial sector are discussed from the perspective of various entities such as financial institutions,financial regulation authorities,environmental protection departments,corporations,and the public.It is pointed out that China’s financial sector is now in the transitional phase from a defensive attitude to a preventive attitude.Strengthening governmental guidance,the supervision of regulators as well as public awareness of environmental protection should be used to enhance the initiative in the development of the environmental management system in the Chinese financial sector. 展开更多

The widespread use of sodium p-perfluorous nonenoxybenzene sulfonate(OBS), a typical alternative to perfluorooctane sulfonate, has resulted in potential threats to the environment, but the adsorption behavior of OBS in soils has not yet been reported. In this study, the adsorption behaviors of OBS on five soils with different physicochemical properties were investigated. The rate of OBS adsorption was fast, and most of the OBS uptake was completed within 12 h. The good model fit of OBS adsorption to the pseudo-second-order and Elovich models indicated the occurrence of chemical adsorption. The adsorption isotherms of OBS on the soils were better described by the Freundlich model than by the Langmuir model, suggesting that the OBS adsorption sites on the soils were heterogeneous. This is possibly associated with various adsorption mechanisms including hydrophobic, π-π, hydrogen bonding, and electrostatic interactions,further confirmed by the good model fit to the D-R isotherm. Adsorption of OBS occurred on the soils, and the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic. In addition, the soils were more suitable for OBS adsorption at lower pH values due to the stronger electrostatic adsorption. The OBS adsorption on the soils decreased with the increase of soil depth from 0 to 30 cm. Moreover, the presence of organic matter and ammonia nitrogen in the soils was favorable for OBS adsorption, and these parameters decreased with increasing soil depth, making OBS adsorption less prominent in the deeper soil. This study indicates that OBS is easily enriched in surface soils, and that soil organic matter and ammonia nitrogen significantly affect OBS migration in soil. 展开更多

Urban spatial identity,as the core content of a distinctive urban image and the representation of urban competitiveness and attraction,is critical to cities in the rapid development process.In view of maintaining and strengthening the spatial identity in a historic urban area,which is the key issue of urban construction in China at present,based on the literature review of Chinese urban spatial identity studies,three research paradigms are summarized:landscape,culture,and economy.Although the traditional evaluation method of spatial identity in historic urban areas has focused on the scarcity of characteristic resources,the relation-ship between characteristic resources and human beings has been ignored.Therefore,based on the declaration of the fundamental mechanism of urban spatial identity in historic urban areas,a new evaluation method was proposed considering four aspects,including object,subject,content,and indicators.The results indicated that the framework of evaluation and design,which is based on the assessment of the relationship between characteristic resources and human beings,is an effective strategy to improve the scientific evaluation of urban spatial identity.Our study has substantial implications for urban planners and managers in solving the urban identity crisis issue in historic urban areas. 展开更多
