This paper focuses on the delay-dependent stability and added damping of SDOF systems in RTDHT. The exponential delay term is transferred into a rational fraction by the Pad6 approximation, and the delay-dependent stability conditions and instability mechanism of SDOF RTDHT systems are investigated by the root locus technique. First, the stability conditions are discussed separately for the cases of stiffness, mass, and damping experimental substructure. The use of root locus plots shows that the added damping effect and instability mechanism for mass are different from those for stiffness. For the stiffness experimental substructure case, the instability results from the inherent mode because of an obvious negative damping effect of the delay. For the mass case, the delay introduces an equivalent positive damping into the inherent mode, and instability occurs at an added high frequency mode. Then, the compound stability condition is investigated for a general case and the results show that the mass ratio may have both upper and lower limits to remain stable. Finally, a high-emulational virtual shaking table model is built to validate the stability conclusions.展开更多

The analysis of the FE numerical substructure is split into response analysis and signal generation tasks, and executed in two different target computers in real-time. One target computer implements the response analysis task, wherein a large time-step is used to solve the FE substructure, and another target computer implements the signal generation task, wherein an interpolation program is used to generate control signals in a small time-step to meet the input demand of the controller. By using this strategy, the scale of the FE numerical substructure simulation may be increased significantly. The proposed scheme is initially verified by two FE numerical substructure models with 98 and 1240 degrees of freedom (DOFs). Thereafter, RTDHTs of a single frame-foundation structure are implemented where the foundation, considered as the numerical substructure, is simulated by the FE model with 1240 DOFs. Good agreements between the results of the RTDHT and those from the FE analysis in ABAQUS are obtained.展开更多

At the first step of dynamics modeling, the dynamics model of the reduced HHA is established by Lagrange method. At the second step of dynamics modeling, the parameter uncertain part resulting mainly from the idealization of the HHA is learned by adaptive algorithm. In the trajectory tracking controller, the radial basis function(RBF) NN, whose optimal weights are learned online by adaptive algorithm, is used to learn the upper limit function of the total uncertainties including frictions, disturbances, abrasion and pulse forces. To a great extent, the conservatism of this robust trajectory tracking controller is reduced, and by this controller the HHA can impersonate mostly human actions. The proof and simulation results testify the validity of the adaptive strategy for parameter learning and the neural network-adaptive strategy for the trajectory tracking control.展开更多

In this HLE model, the sea ice cover is represented by a group of Lagrangian ice particles with their own thicknesses and concentrations. These ice variables are interpolated to the Eularian gird nodes using the Gaussian interpolation function. The FDM is used to determine the ice velocities at Eulerian grid nodes, and the velocities of Lagrangian ice particles are interpolated from these grid velocities with the Gaussian function also. The thicknesses and concentrations of ice particles are determined based on their new locations. With the HLE numerical model, the ice ridging process in a rectangular basin is simulated, and the simulated results are validated with the analytical solution. This method is also applied to the simulation of sea ice dynamics in a vortex wind field. At last, this HLE model is applied to the Bohai Sea, and the simulated concentration, thickness and velocity match the satellite images and the field observed data well.展开更多

Good agreements between the results of the RTDHT and those from the FE analysis in ABAQUS are obtained.

文摘In order to solve the problem of trajectory tracking for a class of novel serial-parallel hybrid humanoid arm(HHA), which has parameters uncertainty, frictions, disturbance, abrasion and pulse forces derived from motors, a multistep dynamics modeling strategy is proposed and a robust controller based on neural network(NN)-adaptive algorithm is designed. The proof and simulation results testify the validity of the adaptive strategy for parameter learning and the neural network-adaptive strategy for the trajectory tracking control.

文摘A hybrid Lagrangian - Eulerian (HLE) method is developed for sea ice dynamics, which combines the high computational efficiency of finite difference method (FDM) with the high numerical accuracy of smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH). At last, this HLE model is applied to the Bohai Sea, and the simulated concentration, thickness and velocity match the satellite images and the field observed data well.

文摘A novel control strategy for a continuous stirred tank reactor(CSTR)system, which has the typical characteristic of strongly pronounced nonlinearity, multiple operating points, and a wide operating range,is initiated from the point of hybrid systems. The proposed scheme makes full use of the modeling power of mixed logical dy- namical(MLD)systems to describe the highly nonlinear dynamics and multiple operating points in a unified framework as a hybrid system, and takes advantage of the good control quality of model predictive control(MPC) to design a controller. Thus, this approach avoids oscillation during switching between sub-systems,helps to relieve shaking in transition, and augments the stability robustness of the whole system, and finally achieves optimal(i.e. fast and smooth)transition between operating points. The simulation results demonstrate that the presented ap- proach has a satisfactory performance.

文摘In recent years, hybrid devices have increasingly received more research. However, few of researchers studied the dynamic analysis. The inverse dynamic analysis of a novelhybrid machine tool designed in Tsinghua University is presented. The hybrid machine tool underconsideration consists of parallel and serial structures, which is based on a new 2-DOF parallelplatform and serial orientations. The kinematics and the dynamic equations are studied first for theparallel structure through Newton-Euler approach. And then, the dynamic analysis for serialstructures is conducted. Finally, a closed-form inverse dynamic formulation is derived by using someelimination techniques. Some simulation results are also given.

文摘3D numerical simulations of dynamical tensile response of hybrid carbon nanotube(CNT)and SiC nanoparticle reinforced AZ91D magnesium(Mg)based composites considering interface cohesion over a temperature range from 25 to 300℃ were carried out using a 3D representative volume element(RVE)approach. The simulation predictions were compared with the experimental results. It is clearly shown that the overall dynamic tensile properties of the nanocomposites at different temperatures are improved when the total volume fraction and volume fraction ratio of hybrid CNTs to SiC nanoparticles increase. The overall maximum hybrid effect is achieved when the hybrid volume fraction ratio of CNTs to SiC nanoparticles is in the range from 7:3 to 8:2 under the condition of total volume fraction of 1.0%.The composites present positive strain rate hardening and temperature softening effects under dynamic loading at high temperatures. The simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
