Due to its atypical symptom and less efficiency of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the prognosis of esophageal or gastric melanoma is still very poor. Surgical resection remains the preferential treatment for esophageal or gastric melanoma. Here we present an extremely rare case of primary advanced esophago-gastric melanoma. Debulking surgery was performed without chemotherapy or radiotherapy. However, abdominal recurrence and hepatic metastases were found within one month by a postoperative follow-up computed tomography. Three and a half months after surgical resection, the patient died of extensive abdominal metastasis.展开更多

Methods\ Retrospective analysis of 554 cases of esophageal or cardiac cancer treated in recent 10 years. Of them 207 cases of anastomosis 186 cases of tubular stepler and 161 cases of 1 layer anastomosis were fashioned with this method. The clinical results of these groups were compared. Results\ There were 51 reflux esophagitis cases found in 548 patients\{(9.3%)\}. In group A 2 patients had this complication(0.48%). None had anastomotic leakage ,but only 1 patient had anastomotic stricture. The difference of the complications among the 3 groups were significant (P<0.01). Conclusions The results of the first group were better than those of the other two groups. It had less complications, and marked anti reflux effect. The life quality was also better. The technique is simple and easy to perform.\;展开更多
