Severe matrix effects and high signal uncertainty are two key bottlenecks for the quantitative performance and wide applications of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS).Based on the understanding that the superposition of both matrix effects and signal uncertainty directly affects plasma parameters and further influences spectral intensity and LIBS quantification performance,a data selection method based on plasma temperature matching(DSPTM)was proposed to reduce both matrix effects and signal uncertainty.By selecting spectra with smaller plasma temperature differences for all samples,the proposed method was able to build up the quantification model to rely more on spectra with smaller matrix effects and signal uncertainty,therefore improving final quantification performance.When applied to quantitative analysis of the zinc content in brass alloys,it was found that both accuracy and precision were improved using either a univariate model or multiple linear regression(MLR).More specifically,for the univariate model,the root-mean-square error of prediction(RMSEP),the determination coefficients(R^(2))and relative standard derivation(RSD)were improved from 3.30%,0.864 and 18.8%to 1.06%,0.986 and 13.5%,respectively;while for MLR,RMSEP,R^(2)and RSD were improved from 3.22%,0.871 and 26.2%to 1.07%,0.986 and 17.4%,respectively.These results prove that DSPTM can be used as an effective method to reduce matrix effects and improve repeatability by selecting reliable data. 展开更多

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)has been used for soil analysis,but its measurement accuracy is often influenced by matrix effects of different kinds of soils.In this work,a method for matrix effect suppressing was developed using laser-induced plasma acoustic signals to correct the original spectrum,thereby improving the analysis accuracy of the soil elements.A good linear relationship was investigated firstly between the original spectral intensity and the acoustic signals.The relative standard deviations(RSDs)of Mg,Ca,Sr,and Ba elements were then calculated for both the original spectrum and the spectrum with the acoustic correction,and the RSDs were significantly reduced with the acoustic correction.Finally,calibration curves of MgⅠ285.213 nm,CaⅠ422.673 nm,SrⅠ460.733 nm and BaⅡ455.403 nm were established to assess the analytical performance of the proposed acoustic correction method.The values of the determination coefficient(R~2)of the calibration curves for Mg,Ca,Sr,and Ba elements,corrected by the acoustic amplitude,are improved from 0.9845,0.9588,0.6165,and 0.6490 to 0.9876,0.9677,0.8768,and 0.8209,respectively.The values of R~2 of the calibration curves corrected by the acoustic energy are further improved to 0.9917,0.9827,0.8835,and 0.8694,respectively.These results suggest that the matrix effect of LIBS on soils can be clearly improved by using acoustic correction,and acoustic energy correction works more efficiently than acoustic amplitude correction.This work provides a simple and efficient method for correcting matrix effects in the element analysis of soils by acoustic signals. 展开更多

Excitation-emission matrix fluorescence spectroscopy (EEM) has been widely used to elucidate the origin and structure of humic substances in natural environments. Due to its high sensitivity, good selectivity and non-destructive advantage, the EEM was applied to characterizing a commercial Fluka humic acid (FHA). The results showed that the EEMs of FHA has several Ex/Em peaks. Ionic strength (0- 0.05 mol/L KClO 4) exerted little effect on the fluorescence properties of FHA, while the concentrations (5-100 mg/L) of FHA and pH (2-12) had significant effects. A red shift in the longer wavelength peak region was observed when the concentrations or pH values increased. The fluorescence intensity increased with increasing pH, but slightly decreased in the case of pH= 5.0. The protonation constants (lgK’ HL) of peak B were calculated to be 3.57 and 3.13, indicating that peak B was due to carboxyl groups. The r (A/B) values range from 0.61 to 2.59. A strong linear relationship between r (A/B) and pH was also observed. This indicates that the fluorescence peaks A and B posses similar inherent fluorescence characteristics. 展开更多

The Cr^3+:BeAl2O4 crystal, Cr^3+:LiNbO3 crystal, and ZnO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass-ceramic were obtained by the Czochralski technique, Bridgman method, and melting processing, respectively. The optical absorption and emission spectra of the above Cr^3+-incorporated solid-state materials were recorded. The technical parameters for growing high-quality Cr^3+:BeAl2O4 and Cr^3+:LINbO3 crystals were obtained. The results indicate that the optical absorption and fluorescence spectra of Cr^3+ show quite a few differences in various matrixes. The sharp line emissions were observed in the Cr^3+:BeAl2O4 and Cr^3+:LiNbO3 crystals. The crystal-field parameters (Dq) for Cr^3+. in different matrixes were calculated from their corresponding spectra. It is indicated that Cr^3+:BeAl2O4 and Cr^3+:LiNbO3 belong to the high-field site crystal, while the Cr^3+ ZnO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass and glass-ceramic belong to the weak-field site crystal. 展开更多

Effect of parameter setting and spectral normalization approach on study of matrix effect by laser induced breakdown spectroscopy of Ag–Zn binary composites 被引量:1

The complex nature of laser-material interaction causes non-stoichiometric ablation of alloy samples.This is attributed to matrix effect, which reduces analyzing capability. To address this issue, the analytical performance of three different normalization methods, namely normalization with background, internal normalization and three point smoothing techniques at different parameter settings is studied for quantification of Ag and Zn by Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS).The LIBS spectra of five known concentration of silver zinc binary composites have been investigated at various laser irradiances(LIs). Calibration curves for both Ag(I) line(4d^(10)5s^2S_(1/2)→4d^(10)5p^2P_(1/2) at 338.28 nm) and Zn(I) line(4s5s^3S_1→4s4p^3P_2 at 481.053 nm) have been determined at LI of 5.86?×?10^(10)W cm^(-2). Slopes of these calibration curves provide the valuation of matrix effect in the Ag–Zn composites. With careful sample preparation and normalization after smoothing at optimum parameter setting(OPS), the minimization of sample matrix effect has been successfully achieved. A good linearity has been obtained in Ag and Zn calibration curve at OPS when normalized the whole area of spectrum after smoothing and the obtained coefficients of determination values were R^2?=?0.995 and 0.998 closer to 1. The results of matrix effect have been further verified by analysis of plasma parameters. Both plasma parameters showed no change with varying concentration at OPS. However, at high concentration of Ag, the observed significant changes in both plasma parameters at common parameter setting PS-1 and PS-2 were the gesture of matrix effect. In our case, the better analytical results were obtained at smoothing function with optimized parameter setting that indicates it is more efficient than normalization with background and internal normalization method. 展开更多

AIM: To investigate the autofluorescence spectroscopic differences in normal and adenomatous colonic tissues and to determine the optimal excitation wavelengths for subsequent study and clinical application.METHODS: Normal and adenomatous colonic tissues were obtained from patients during surgery. A FL/FS920combined TCSPC spectrofluorimeter and a lifetime spectrometer system were used for fluorescence measurement.Fluorescence excitation wavelengths varying from 260 to 540 nm were used to induce the autofluorescence spectra,and the corresponding emission spectra were recorded from a range starting 20 nm above the excitation wavelength and extending to 800 nm. Emission spectra were assembled into a three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy and an excitation-emission matrix (EEM) to exploit endogenous fluorophores and diagnostic information. Then emission spectra of normal and adenomatous colonic tissues at certain excitation wavelengths were compared to determine the optimal excitation wavelengths for diagnosis of colonic cancer.RESULTS: When compared to normal tissues, low NAD (P)H and FAD, but high amino acids and endogenous phorphyrins of protoporphyrin Ⅸ characterized the highgrade malignant colonic tissues. The optimal excitation wavelengths for diagnosis of colonic cancer were about 340, 380, 460, and 540 nm.CONCLUSION: Significant differences in autofluorescence peaks and its intensities can be observed in normal and adenomatous colonic tissues. Autofluorescence EEMs are able to identify colonic tissues. 展开更多

一种自适应的三维荧光光谱去散射方法

三维荧光光谱因其数据量大、灵敏度高等优点,在食品科学、分析化学、生物化学和环境科学等领域应用广泛。然而,因为同时存在瑞利散射和拉曼散射,给三维荧光光谱的定量分析和数据显示带来了困难。因此,在数据处理前期,消除散射干扰对其... 三维荧光光谱因其数据量大、灵敏度高等优点,在食品科学、分析化学、生物化学和环境科学等领域应用广泛。然而,因为同时存在瑞利散射和拉曼散射,给三维荧光光谱的定量分析和数据显示带来了困难。因此,在数据处理前期,消除散射干扰对其具有重要意义。在已有方法中,对较低浓度溶液和散射峰与物质荧光信号重叠严重光谱的去散射算法的研究相对空白。针对现有问题,提出了一种自适应的三维荧光光谱去散射方法。首先,该方法通过减去每次实验获取的溶剂的光谱基线来校正拉曼散射和背景干扰。然后综合考虑散射峰与物质峰的荧光强度和重叠程度将光谱分为五类情况对应三个重叠等级:无重叠、微弱重叠和严重重叠,分别采用置零法、分段三次Hermite插值多项式算法和高斯拟合-分段三次Hermite插值多项式耦合算法对瑞利散射进行校正处理。此方法基于一维插值,仅对单个发射光谱进行研究,降低了算法复杂度,计算时间较短。通过对酪氨酸、黄腐酸、萘乙酸和罗丹明B四种典型有机化合物进行实验,评估了该方法扣除散射干扰的有效性。并且与现阶段研究中使用最多的Delaunay三角形内插值法进行比较,以重叠区域散射校正后的数据对四种有机化合物分别进行浓度回归,此自适应方法所得的平均决定系数为0.9962,相比于Delaunay三角形内插值法提高了5.04%。同时,通过对比天然有机化合物黄腐酸分别经此方法和Delaunay三角形内插值法进行散射校正后的三维荧光光谱,进一步证明了该方法更好地保持了物质荧光光谱区域的结构特征,有效地避免了过拟合现象的发生。最后,利用该方法对模拟突发污染水样进行监测,验证了此方法具有很好的普适性,有实际应用价值,为三维荧光光谱去散射提供了一种新的思路。 展开更多

为了探讨污泥堆肥过程中亲水性组分(hydrophilic fraction,HyI)的结构组成和电子转移能力的变化规律和机理,本研究以污泥堆肥过程中的HyI为研究对象,采用紫外-可见光谱(UV-Vis)、三维荧光光谱(3D-EEM)、傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、二维... 为了探讨污泥堆肥过程中亲水性组分(hydrophilic fraction,HyI)的结构组成和电子转移能力的变化规律和机理,本研究以污泥堆肥过程中的HyI为研究对象,采用紫外-可见光谱(UV-Vis)、三维荧光光谱(3D-EEM)、傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、二维相关光谱(2D-COS)和电化学方法,对其结构组成和电子转移能力的变化进行了系统研究.光谱分析显示,随着堆肥的进行,HyI中芳香族化合物含量增加,醌基含量增加,类蛋白物质含量降低,类胡敏酸物质和类富里酸物质含量增加,芳构化程度和腐殖化程度增强.酰胺和多糖类物质在HyI中占据主导地位,HyI中的羧基含量增加,而酚类含量降低.电化学分析显示,在堆肥过程中,HyI的电子供给能力(electron donating capacity,EDC)呈现先增加后减少的趋势;HyI的电子接受能力(electron accepting capacity,EAC)呈现先减少后增加的趋势.总体上,HyI的电子转移能力(electron transfer capacities,ETC)呈现上升的趋势,表明堆肥过程提高了HyI的氧化还原能力.相关性分析显示,HyI分子量越小、硅酸盐和多糖含量越低,越利于HyI给出电子;而HyI羧基含量越高、类胡敏酸物质越多、腐殖化程度越高、芳香性越强,越利于HyI得到电子.研究显示,污泥堆肥过程中HyI的结构组成和电子转移能力发生了显著变化,HyI分子量的降低、功能基团硅酸盐含量的降低和腐殖化程度的升高与HyI的电子转移能力有密切关系.该结果有助于进一步了解污泥堆肥过程中HyI的形成及其氧化还原特性,为发挥其在治理环境污染中的作用提供依据. 展开更多

金属(异)氰化物是星际介质中金属化合物的主要组成部分.它们的氧化物-金属(异)氰酸作为潜在的星际分子也备受关注.然而,作为金属(异)氰酸的前体,阳离子HNCOM^(+)的研究却非常有限.本文通过红外光谱、同位素取代和量子化学计算,对HNCOCa^... 金属(异)氰化物是星际介质中金属化合物的主要组成部分.它们的氧化物-金属(异)氰酸作为潜在的星际分子也备受关注.然而,作为金属(异)氰酸的前体,阳离子HNCOM^(+)的研究却非常有限.本文通过红外光谱、同位素取代和量子化学计算,对HNCOCa^(+)进行了详细研究.为了进行对比,还探索研究了HNCOBe^(+)和HNCOBa^(+)阳离子.结果表明,金属阳离子与HNCO反应可以生成HNCOCa^(+)和HNCO-Be^(+),但未观测到HNCOBa^(+)的生成.HNCOCa^(+)中非对称和对称NCO伸缩振动频率(2362.6和1330.4 cm^(-1))高于自由的HNCO分子(2268.5和1320.3 cm^(-1)),但比HNCOBe^(+)(2426.4和1355.2 cm^(-1))低.这些频率的变化是由HNCOBe^(+)和HNCOCa^(+)中NCO单元内的电荷极化导致.成键分析表明,HNCO-Be^(+)键倾向于共价性质(54%),而HNCO-Ca^(+)键则具有较高的静电性质(57%).在HNCO-Ba^(+)键中,占主导的静电相互作用(64%)导致了低的O-Ba键能,这解释了其在实验中未被制备的原因. 展开更多

溶解有机物(DOM)普遍存在于地表水源中,是饮用水消毒副产物的重要前驱物.本研究考察了Fe(Ⅵ)与Mn(Ⅶ)预氧化对浙江东部某水源水中DOM的组成特征及消毒副产物生成势的影响.运用三维荧光光谱(3D-EEMs)分析了两种氧化剂在不同的浓度梯度下... 溶解有机物(DOM)普遍存在于地表水源中,是饮用水消毒副产物的重要前驱物.本研究考察了Fe(Ⅵ)与Mn(Ⅶ)预氧化对浙江东部某水源水中DOM的组成特征及消毒副产物生成势的影响.运用三维荧光光谱(3D-EEMs)分析了两种氧化剂在不同的浓度梯度下对水样进行预氧化后,水样DOM的荧光光谱特性、荧光特征参数和荧光组分等的变化情况,及氯化后消毒副产物(DBPs)的生成情况.结果表明,水源水水样DOM的来源主要为陆源与内源混合且具有一定的腐殖质化程度,Mn(Ⅶ)和Fe(Ⅵ)预氧化不仅对荧光DOM具有较好的降解效果,对腐殖质类DOM也具有一定的降解作用.在DBPs的生成势方面,Mn(Ⅶ)预氧化对三氯甲烷(TCM)生成势的变化呈现出先增强后减弱的现象,对二氯乙腈(DCAN)的生成势具有一定的减弱作用.而Fe(Ⅵ)预氧化对三氯丙酮(1,1,1-TCP)、溴氯乙腈(BCAN)、二溴乙腈(DBAN)和DCAN的生成势均具有明显的降低作用,对二氯一溴甲烷(DCBM)、二溴一氯甲烷(DBCM)和三溴甲烷(TBM)生成势的变化呈现出先增强后减弱的现象.研究结果推动了水源水氧化消毒工艺的发展并为相关研究提供理论指导. 展开更多

溶解性有机质(dissolvedorganicmatter,DOM)是影响重金属元素在水体中迁移转化的关键因素之一。资江是洞庭湖第三大支流,流域内锑矿开发导致资江江水中锑(Sb)的质量浓度处于较高水平。为了解析资江流域江水中DOM的特征及来源,探索DOM对S... 溶解性有机质(dissolvedorganicmatter,DOM)是影响重金属元素在水体中迁移转化的关键因素之一。资江是洞庭湖第三大支流,流域内锑矿开发导致资江江水中锑(Sb)的质量浓度处于较高水平。为了解析资江流域江水中DOM的特征及来源,探索DOM对Sb迁移的指示意义,研究对资江流域江水进行了三维荧光光谱分析,利用平行因子法分析了水体中DOM的组分和荧光特征以及各组分与Sb质量浓度的关联。结果表明:(1)资江流域江水中Sb质量浓度为1.50~62.20μg/L,平均值为7.26μg/L,其中有55.56%的采样点Sb质量浓度超过最低限制5μg/L;(2)资江流域江水DOM有C1、C2和C3共3个组分,依次为陆源的类富里酸组分、类腐殖质组分以及可作为电子运输工具的醌类腐殖质组分,以C1和C2组分为主;(3)DOM主要通过2种方式影响Sb的迁移,一是水体中DOM的醌类基团作为电子传递体并参与有机质的氧化及铁氧化物的还原,二是富里酸基团与Sb进行络合形成DOM-Sb型复合物,2种方式协同促进了资江流域江水中Sb的富集,提高了Sb的迁移能力。研究结果将为资江流域江水Sb污染溯源和防治提供新的方向和理论依据。 展开更多

压电材料作为重要的功能材料,广泛应用于社会的各领域,但其弹性常数的偏差会导致应用过程中出现错误的设计,弹性常数的正确表征对压电器件的正确设计尤为重要。与其他测量方法相比,电阻抗谱仅需要阻抗分析仪即可实现测量,通过测量阻抗... 压电材料作为重要的功能材料,广泛应用于社会的各领域,但其弹性常数的偏差会导致应用过程中出现错误的设计,弹性常数的正确表征对压电器件的正确设计尤为重要。与其他测量方法相比,电阻抗谱仅需要阻抗分析仪即可实现测量,通过测量阻抗谱反演获得压电材料的弹性常数。传统电阻抗谱法通过不断修正材料参数,使得测量阻抗谱和计算阻抗谱最大程度吻合,该过程需要多次迭代,计算量大,耗时较长。该文提出采用神经网络建立阻抗谱到弹性常数的正向模型,测量得到阻抗谱后仅需一次正向计算即可得到弹性常数。使用Comsol和Matlab联合仿真建立数据集,引入丢弃法避免模型过拟合,利用Pytorch建立模型,经过训练后,最大谐振频率偏差从初始2.8%降至0.8%。该技术为压电材料弹性常数精密测量提供可靠的理论与实践途径。 展开更多

堆肥中溶解性有机质(DOM)对重金属具有显著的络合作用,影响其在环境中的迁移和转化。研究采用三维荧光-平行因子(EEM-PARAFAC)结合二维相关光谱(2DCOS)分析方法,系统解析蘑菇渣堆肥(MRC)及水稻秸秆堆肥(RSC)中DOM与Cu^(2+)的络合机制。E... 堆肥中溶解性有机质(DOM)对重金属具有显著的络合作用,影响其在环境中的迁移和转化。研究采用三维荧光-平行因子(EEM-PARAFAC)结合二维相关光谱(2DCOS)分析方法,系统解析蘑菇渣堆肥(MRC)及水稻秸秆堆肥(RSC)中DOM与Cu^(2+)的络合机制。EEM-PARAFAC结果表明,MRC-DOM和RSC-DOM主要由类腐殖酸(C1)、类富里酸(C2)和类蛋白质(C3)组成,各组分分别占MRC-DOM总荧光强度的43%、32%和25%,占RSC-DOM的39%、29%和32%。2种堆肥DOM与Cu^(2+)作用过程中,3类组分荧光强度均呈不断降低趋势,表明它们均与Cu^(2+)发生了显著的络合作用。2种堆肥中不同荧光组分(C1~C3)与Cu^(2+)的有效猝灭常数(lg K)在4.54~4.76之间,均表现为C3>C1>C2,表明类蛋白组分(C3)与Cu^(2+)结合能力最强,其次为类腐殖酸(C1),类富里酸(C2)最低。2DCOS结果显示,堆肥DOM中类蛋白荧光组分与Cu^(2+)结合能力最强,而类富里酸优先与Cu^(2+)发生反应。总体而言,MRC-DOM和RSC-DOM中类蛋白和类腐殖质组分是与Cu^(2+)发生络合作用的关键物质,且2类堆肥DOM具有类似的Cu^(2+)络合机制(包括活性位点、络合能力和反应顺序)。研究结果为进一步了解堆肥对土壤Cu^(2+)迁移和转化行为的影响提供了重要的理论基础。 展开更多

The Southern Ocean is an important carbon sink pool and plays a critical role in the global carbon cycling.The Amundsen Sea was reported to be highly productive in inshore area in the Southern Ocean.In order to investigate the influence of transparent exopolymer particles(TEP)on the behavior of dissolved organic carbon(DOC)in this region,a comprehensive study was conducted,encompassing both open water areas and highly productive polynyas.It was found that microbial heterotrophic metabolism is the primary process responsible for the production of humic-like fluorescent components in the open ocean.The relationship between apparent oxygen utilization and the two humic-like components can be accurately described by a power-law function,with a conversion rate consistent with that observed globally.The presence of TEP was found to have little impact on this process.Additionally,the study revealed the accumulation of DOC at the sea surface in the Amundsen Sea Polynya,suggesting that TEP may play a critical role in this phenomenon.These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics and surface accumulation of DOC in the Amundsen Sea Polynya,and provide valuable insights into the carbon cycle in this region. 展开更多

The membrane bioreactor(MBR)technology is a rising star for wastewater treatment.The pollutant elimination and membrane fouling performances of MBRs are essentially related to the dissolved organic matter(DOM)in the system.Three-dimensional excitation-emission matrix(3D-EEM)fluorescence spectroscopy,a powerful tool for the rapid and sensitive characterization of DOM,has been extensively applied in MBR studies;however,only a limited portion of the EEM fingerprinting information was utilized.This paper revisits the principles and methods of fluorescence EEM,and reviews the recent progress in applying EEM to characterize DOM in MBR studies.We systematically introduced the information extracted from EEM by considering the fluorescence peak location/intensity,wavelength regional distribution,and spectral deconvolution(giving fluorescent component loadings/scores),and discussed how to use the information to interpret the chemical compositions,physiochemical properties,biological activities,membrane retention/fouling behaviors,and migration/transformation fates of DOM in MBR systems.In addition to conventional EEM indicators,novel fluorescent parameters are summarized for potential use,including quantum yield,Stokes shift,excited energy state,and fluorescence lifetime.The current limitations of EEM-based DOM characterization are also discussed,with possible measures proposed to improve applications in MBR monitoring. 展开更多

The Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) is a fast, non-contact, no sample preparation analytic technology;it is very suitable for on-line analysis of alloy composition. In the copper smelting industry, analysis and control of the copper alloy concentration affect the quality of the products greatly, so LIBS is an efficient quantitative analysis tech- nology in the copper smelting industry. But for the lead brass, the components of Pb, Al and Ni elements are very low and the atomic emission lines are easily submerged under copper complex characteristic spectral lines because of the matrix effects. So it is difficult to get the online quantitative result of these important elements. In this paper, both the partial least squares (PLS) method and the calibration curve (CC) method are used to quantitatively analyze the laser induced breakdown spectroscopy data which is obtained from the standard lead brass alloy samples. Both the major and trace elements were quantitatively analyzed. By comparing the two results of the different calibration method, some useful results were obtained: both for major and trace elements, the PLS method was better than the CC method in quantitative analysis. And the regression coefficient of PLS method is compared with the original spectral data with background interference to explain the advantage of the PLS method in the LIBS quantitative analysis. Results proved that the PLS method used in laser induced breakdown spectroscopy was suitable for simultaneous quantitative analysis of different content elements in copper smelting industry. 展开更多

At its core, ScalIT serves as a massively scalable iterative sparse matrix solver, while assisting modules serve to create rovibrational Hamiltonian matrices, and analyze computed energy levels (eigenvalues) and wavefunctions (eigenvectors). Some of the methods incorporated into the package include: phase space optimized discrete variable representation, preconditioned inexact spectral transform, and optimal separable basis preconditioning. ScalIT has previously been implemented successfully for a wide range of chemical applications, allowing even the most state-of-the-art calculations to be computed with relative ease, across a large number of computational cores, in a short amount of time. 展开更多
