THE EXISTENCE AND LOCAL UNIQUENESS OF MULTI-PEAK SOLUTIONS TO A CLASS OF KIRCHHOFF TYPE EQUATIONS

In this paper,we study the existence and local uniqueness of multi-peak solutions to the Kirchhoff type equations-(ε^(2)a+εb∫_(R^(3))|■u|^(2))△u+V(x)u=u^(p),u>0 in R^(3),which concentrate at non-degenerate critical points of the potential function V(x),where a,b>0,1<p<5 are constants,andε>0 is a parameter.Applying the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method and a local Pohozaev type identity,we establish the existence and local uniqueness results of multi-peak solutions,which concentrate at{a_(i)}1≤i≤k,where{a_(i)}1≤i≤k are non-degenerate critical points of V(x)asε→0.

THE EXISTENCE AND MULTIPLICITY OF k-CONVEX SOLUTIONS FOR A COUPLED k-HESSIAN SYSTEM

In this paper,we focus on the following coupled system of k-Hessian equations:{S_(k)(λ(D^(2)u))=f_(1)(|x|,-v)in B,S_(k)(λ(D^(2)v))=f2(|x|,-u)in B,u=v=0 on■B.Here B is a unit ball with center 0 and fi(i=1,2)are continuous and nonnegative functions.By introducing some new growth conditions on the nonlinearities f_(1) and f_(2),which are more flexible than the existing conditions for the k-Hessian systems(equations),several new existence and multiplicity results for k-convex solutions for this kind of problem are obtained.

Existence and Stability of Solutions for a Class of Fractional Impulsive Differential Equations with Atangana-Baleanu-Caputo Derivative

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of solutions to a class of Atangana-Baleanu-Caputo impulsive fractional differential equation. The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the fractional differential equation are obtained by Banach and Krasnoselakii fixed point theorems, and sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the solution are also developed. In addition, the Hyers-Ulam stability of the solution is considered. At last, an example is given to illustrate the main results.

In this paper, the existence and uniqueness of almost periodic solutions for some infinite delay integral equations are discussed. By using Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem,some new results are obtained.

New Developments on Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions to Some Models in Atmospheric Dynamics

This survey is concerned with the new developments on existence and uniqueness of solutions of some basic models in atmospheric dynamics, such as two-and three-dimensional quasi-geostrophic models and three-dimensional balanced model. The main aim of this paper is to introduce some results about the global and local (with respect to time) existence of solutions given by the authors in recent years, but others' important contributions and the literature on this subject are also quoted. We discuss briefly the relationships among the existence and uniqueness, physical instability and computational instability. In the appendixes, some key mathematical techniques in obtaining our results are presented, which are of vital importance to other problems in geophysical fluid dynamics as well.

ON UNIQUENESS,EXISTENCE AND OBJECTIVITY OF S-R DECOMPOSITION THEOREM

For a physically possible deformation field of a continuum, the deformation gradient function F can be decomposed into direct sum of a symmetric tensor S and on orthogonal tensor R, which is called S-R decomposition theorem. In this paper, the S-R decomposition unique existence theorem is proved, by employing matrix and tensor method. Also, a brief proof of its objectivity is given.

Existence and Uniqueness of Weak Solutions to the p-biharmonic Parabolic Equation

We consider an initial-boundary value problem for a p-biharmonic parabolic equation. Under some assumptions on the initial value, we construct approximate solutions by the discrete-time method. By means of uniform estimates on solutions of the time-difference equations, we establish the existence of weak solutions, and also discuss the uniqueness.

On existence and uniqueness of solutions to uncertain backward stochastic differential equations

This paper is concerned with a class of uncertain backward stochastic differential equations （UBSDEs） driven by both an m-dimensional Brownian motion and a d-dimensional canonical process with uniform Lipschitzian coefficients. Such equations can be useful in mod- elling hybrid systems, where the phenomena are simultaneously subjected to two kinds of un- certainties： randomness and uncertainty. The solutions of UBSDEs are the uncertain stochastic processes. Thus, the existence and uniqueness of solutions to UBSDEs with Lipschitzian coeffi- cients are proved.

Improved Conditions for the Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions to the General Equality Constrained Quadratic Programming Problem

This paper presents an approach that directly utilizes the Hessian matrix to investigate the existence and uniqueness of global solutions for the ECQP problem. The novel features of this proposed algorithm are its uniqueness and faster rate of convergence to the solution. The merit of this algorithm is base on cost, accuracy and number of operations.

In this paper,we focus on a general n-dimension system of k-Hessian equations.By introducing some new suitable growth conditions,the existence results of radial k-admissible solutions of the k-Hessian system are obtained.Our approach is largely based on the well-known fixed-point theorem.

Existence and Uniqueness Results for a Fully Third-Order Boundary Value Problem

The boundary value problems of the third-order ordinary differential equation have many practical application backgrounds and their some special cases have been studied by many authors. However, few scholars have studied the boundary value problems of the complete third-order differential equations u′′′(t) = f (t,u(t),u′(t),u′′(t)). In this paper, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of solutions and positive solutions of the fully third-order ordinary differential equation on [0,1] with the boundary condition u(0) = u′(1) = u′′(1) = 0. Under some inequality conditions on nonlinearity f some new existence and uniqueness results of solutions and positive solutions are obtained.

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS RESULTS FOR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS OF HIGHER ORDER FRACTIONAL INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS INVOLVING GRONWALL'S INEQUALITY IN BANACH SPACES

We study boundary value problems for fractional integro-differential equations involving Caputo derivative of order α∈ （n-1, n） in Banach spaces. Existence and uniqueness results of solutions are established by virtue of the Holder＇s inequality, a suitable singular Cronwall＇s inequality and fixed point theorem via a priori estimate method. At last, examples are given to illustrate the results.

Existence of solutions and positive solutions to a fourth-order two-point BVP with second derivative

Several existence theorems were established for a nonlinear fourth-order two-point boundary value problem with second derivative by using Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem, equivalent norm and technique on system of integral equations. The main conditions of our results are local. In other words, the existence of the solution can be determined by considering the height of the nonlinear term on a bounded set. This class of problems usually describes the equilibrium state of an elastic beam which is simply supported at both ends.

By fixed point theorem of a mixed monotone operators, we study Lidstone boundary value problems to nonlinear singular 2mth-order differential and difference equations, and provide sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of positive solution to Lidstone boundary value problem for 2mth-order ordinary differential equations and 2mth-order difference equations. The nonlinear term in the differential and difference equation may be singular.

Local Existence and Uniqueness Theorem for a Nonlinear Schr&#246;dinger Equation with Robin Inhomogeneous Boundary Condition

In recent years, a vast amount of work has been done on initial value problems for important nonlinear evolution equations like the nonlinear Schr&#246;dinger equation (NLS) and the Korteweg-de Vries equation (KdV). No comparable attention has been given to mixed initial-boundary value problems for these equations, i.e. forced nonlinear systems. But in many cases of physical interest, the mathematical model leads precisely to the forced problems. For example, the launching of solitary waves in a shallow water channel, the excitation of ion-acoustic solitons in a double plasma machine, etc. In this article, we present the PDE (Partial Differential Equation) method to study the following iut = uxx - g|u|pu, g ∈ R, p > 3, x?∈ Ω = [0,L], 0 ≤?t?u (x,0) = u0 (x) ∈?H2 (Ω) and Robin inhomogeneous boundary condition ux (0,t) + αu (0,t) = R1(t), t ≥ 0 and ux (L,t) + αu (L,t) = R2 (t), t ≥ 0 (here?α?is a real number). The equation is posed in a semi-infinite strip on a finite domain Ω. Such problems are called forced problems and have many applications in other fields like physics and chemistry. The main tool of PDE method is semi-group theory. We are able to prove local existence and uniqueness theorem for the nonlinear Schr&#246;dinger equation under initial condition and Robin inhomogeneous boundary condition.
