Characteristics Analysis of Urban Space Expansion in Luoyang, China

The characteristics of urban space expansion reflect the changes of urban space layout and space structure, as well as the urban developing direction and urban orientation in the future. Based on the remote sensing image data of 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020, this paper analyzes the urban space expansion characteristics of Luoyang, by using the urban land compaction index, expansion intensity index and centroid distribution in 4 time sections and 3 periods. The results show that: 1) the urban land area of Luoyang has expanded rapidly, the urban planning policy has successfully guided the urban expansion. 2) In the first period, the urban expansion belongs to the rapid expansion type, mainly filling the built-up area and natural expansion to outward;the second period is of high-speed expansion type, the urban expansion mainly enlarges the urban framework, then fills the expanded district, and the influence of urban natural growth factor is very small;the third period belongs to the high-speed expansion type, and the expansion rate is significantly lower than that in the second period, the urban expansion is mainly to fill in the urban framework enlarged in the previous period and continue to enlarge the urban framework, and the influence of urban natural growth factor is very little. 3) The urban land centroid gradually migrates to the southeast with the azimuth of 151.47°, the annual migration distance is of 138.29 m. The migration rate in the second period is the fastest, which is about 7.43 times that of the first period, and 2.70 times that of the third period. In the first period, the urban land is mainly expanded to southward, with the main azimuth of 201.13°. Compared with the urban land centroid in 2000, the urban land in the second period mainly expands to east-southeast and southward along the azimuths of 141.92° and 154.17° respectively. Compared with the urban centroid in 2010, the urban land in the third period mainly expands in the orientations of southeast and eastward along the azimuth of 96.24° and 133.45°.

Bibliometric analysis of glaucoma-related literature based on SCIE database:a 10-year literature analysis from 2009 to 2018

AIM:To explore the global trends and focus of glaucoma research from 2009 to 2018.METHODS:Searching for glaucoma-related articles published in Science Citation Index Expanded(SCIE)database during 2009-2018,and describing the distribution of the published year,countries,authors,institutions,funding agencies,journals,impact factor,citation and hot research topic of articles by using bibliometric methods.Meanwhile,we compared some of these indicators over two five-year periods,from 2009 to 2013 and from 2014 to 2018.RESULTS:A total of 19609 glaucoma-related articles were retrieved and the global SCIE articles have increased yearly from 2009 to 2018.The USA was the pioneer which has made great contributions.China kept the second place and the number of publications has increased rapidly between 2014 and 2018.The author with the highest number of publications was Weinreb,RN.Co-occurrence maps were built amongst the top 50 authors or the top 50 institutions with the most articles,which visualize the closer collaboration of international authors or institutions.The journal Investigative Ophthalmology&Visual Science has published the most papers.Glaucoma literature with an impact factor of 3-5 points accounted for the largest proportion(28.96%).The most frequently cited paper had 798 citations.The top three hot areas on glaucoma were intraocular pressure,optical coherence tomography(OCT)and retinal ganglion cells.And trabecular meshwork,primary angle-closure glaucoma and Spectral-domain OCT have become new hot research topics in recent five years during 2014-2018.CONCLUSION:Bibliometric analysis is an effective method to describe the global literature on glaucoma.In a 10-year literature survey from 2009 to 2018,global glaucoma research has developed in a balanced manner,and the cooperation between various institutions and teams has become closer.Glaucoma-related pathogenesis research,imaging examinations of OCT and surgery therapy have attracted most attention.

Scientific publications in nursing journals from East Asia:A survey of literature

Background:East Asia is one of the most important economy and research force in the world.However,the trend of published articles in various areas of East Asia has not been reported.Methods:We used PubMed and Web of Science databases to search for articles published from China,South Korea,and Japan in 59 nursing journals,from January 2008 to December 2017.Results:The results indicated that Journal of Clinical Nursing is the most popular journal in East Asia and the number of articles published in China has shown a steady upward trend,surpassing Japan and South Korea(from 204 in 2008 to 320 in 2017).South Korea has increased rapidly since 2013(from 65 in 2013 to 144 in 2017).Conclusion:We conclude that China is the most influenced country with the largest number of articles in the field of nursing in East Asia.It is worth noting that the number of articles published in Japan has been slowly declining since 2015.

ETI： an efficient index for set similarity queries

Set queries are an important topic and have attracted a lot of attention. Earlier research mainly concentrated on set containment queries. In this paper we focus on the T-Overlap query which is the foundation of the set similarity query. To address this issue, unlike traditional algorithms that are based on an inverted index, we design a new paradigm based on the prefix tree （trie） called the expanded trie index （ETI） which expands the trie node structure by adding some new properties. Based on ETI, we convert the T- Overlap problem to finding query nodes with specific query depth equaling to T and propose a new algorithm called T- Similarity to solve T-Overlap efficiently. Then we carry out a three-step framework to extend T-Overlap to other simi- larity predicates. Extensive experiments are carried out to compare T-Similarity with other inverted index based algorithms from cardinality of query, overlap threshold, dataset size, the number of distinct elements and so on. Results show that T-Similarity outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms in many aspects.

Ten-year survey on oncology publications from China and other top-ranking countries

Background Cancer is a global disease that knows no borders. Over the past decade, oncology research had developed rapidly worldwide. The aim of this study was to evaluate the publication characteristics in oncology journals from China and other top-ranking countries. Methods The present study was designed to study publication characteristics in oncology journals from China and other top-ranking countries, the United States （USA）, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom （UK） and France, from 2001 to 2010. We also examined the research output from the three different regions of China： the mainland of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Results Articles published in 163 journals related to oncology were retrieved from the PubMed database. The number of articles showed significantly positive trends for the six countries. The percentage of articles in the world output showed a significantly positive increase in contributions from China, especially the mainland of China. China contributed 4.5% of the total 163 journals, and 2.5% of the journals with the top 10% impact factor （IF） scores. USA contributed 31.4% of the total world output, 40.5% of the top 10% IF score journals and ranked the first. Conclusions This analysis described the research output from each country and region of China, and revealed the positive trend in China during 2001 and 2010. Also, by contrast with other top-ranking countries, these results imply that China falls behind the others in conducting hi qh-quality oncolocjy research.
