Stable operating region in the HL-1M tokamak has been extended by means of wall conditioning, core fuelling and current control techniques. The mechanisms of the extension are analyzed in this paper. Lithiumization di...Stable operating region in the HL-1M tokamak has been extended by means of wall conditioning, core fuelling and current control techniques. The mechanisms of the extension are analyzed in this paper. Lithiumization diminishes the impurities and hydrogen recycling to the lowest level. After lithiumization a high density up to 7×1019 m-3 was obtained easily by strong gas puffing with ordinary ohmic discharge alone. More attractively we found that metal Li-coating exhibited the effects of wall stabilization. The low qα limit with higher density was extended by a factor of 1.5-2 in comparison with that for boronization, and 1.2 for siliconization. Siliconization not only extended stable operating region significantly by itself, but also provided a good target plasma for other experiments of raising density limit. Core fuelling schemes are favourable especially for siliconized wall with a higher level of medium-Z impurity (Z = 14). After siliconization the maximum density near to 1020 m-3 was achieved by a combination of supersonic molecule beam injection and multipellet injection. The new defined slope of Hugill limit illustrating more clearly the situation under low qα and high ne discharges was created to indicate the new region extended by combining IP ramp-up with core fuelling. The slope with a large Murakami coefficient increased by a factor of 50-60 %.展开更多
A terahertz dual-mode extended interaction oscillator (EIO) driven by a pseudospark-sourced sheet electron beam (SEB) was presented.The major advantages of the newly developed circuit include 1) high-density SEB inter...A terahertz dual-mode extended interaction oscillator (EIO) driven by a pseudospark-sourced sheet electron beam (SEB) was presented.The major advantages of the newly developed circuit include 1) high-density SEB interacting with the TM_(11) and TM_(31) modes,respectively,and 2) high output power of over 1 kW at the subterahertz frequency range.Two different types of 2π modes and their output characteristics were studied,and the circuit was optimized to ensure efficient outputs of two standing-wave modes.The three-dimensional (3D) particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation predicts the maximum output power of 1.3 kW with the 3-dB bandwidth of ~0.5 GHz at 303 GHz when operating at the TM_(11)mode,and 3.18 kW with the 3-dB bandwidth of ~0.85 GHz at 364 GHz when operating at the TM_(31)mode.展开更多
Patients with thoracic malignancies invading the superior vena cava (SVC) and innominate vein that cause venous flow obstruction have a poor quality of lite and short survival time. Dartevelle et al reported that th...Patients with thoracic malignancies invading the superior vena cava (SVC) and innominate vein that cause venous flow obstruction have a poor quality of lite and short survival time. Dartevelle et al reported that the 3-year survival rates were 27% for patients with mediastinal malignancies and non-small cell lung cancer. Recently, some surgeons' experience suggested that the results of extensive resection and reconstruction of the SVC and innominate vein were excellent. From May 2003 to December 2005, radical resection and reconstruction of the SVC and/or innominate vein were performed in a group of patients for mediastinal or lung tumors invading the superior vena cava and/or innominate vein. We reported our experience in this retrospective study to explore the operative method, the optimal vascular graft, and the benefits of extended resection and reconstruction of SVC and/or innominate vein for invasive thoracic tumors.展开更多

We also characterize those φ for which T_φ is compact between the Bloch-type spaces and the little Bloch-type spaces under some additional assumption on the symbol φ.
