Unlike conventional approaches such as Hough Transform, we employ a robust but simple approach to extract the geometrical feature under real dynamic world conditions. Multi-threshold segmentation and the split-and-merge method are employed to interpret geometrical features such as edge, concave corners, convex corners, and segments in a unified framework. The features are represented by feature tree (F-Tree) so as to compactly represent the environments and some important properties of the F-Tree are discussed in this paper. To demonstrate the validity of the approach, we show the actual experiment results which are based on real Laser Range Finder data and real time analysis. The comparative study with Hough Transform shows the advantages and the high performance of the proposed algorithm.展开更多
In the paper,a set of algorithms to construct synthetic aperture radar(SAR)matching suitable features are frstly proposed based on the evolutionary synthesis strategy.During the process,on the one hand,the indexes o...In the paper,a set of algorithms to construct synthetic aperture radar(SAR)matching suitable features are frstly proposed based on the evolutionary synthesis strategy.During the process,on the one hand,the indexes of primary matching suitable features(PMSFs)are designed based on the characteristics of image texture,SAR imaging and SAR matching algorithm,which is a process involving expertise;on the other hand,by designing a synthesized operation expression tree based on PMSFs,a much more flexible expression form of synthesized features is built,which greatly expands the construction space.Then,the genetic algorithm-based optimized searching process is employed to search the synthesized matching suitable feature(SMSF)with the highest effciency,largely improving the optimized searching effciency.In addition,the experimental results of the airborne synthetic aperture radar ortho-images of C-band and P-band show that the SMSFs gained via the algorithms can reflect the matching suitability of SAR images accurately and the matching probabilities of selected matching suitable areas of ortho-images could reach 99±0.5%.展开更多

Current analyses of microarray d...The advent of DNA microarray technology has offered the promise of casting new insights onto deciphering secrets of life by monitoring activities of thousands of genes simulta-neously. Current analyses of microarray data focus on precise classification of biological types, for example, tumor versus normal tissues. A further scientific challenging task is to extract dis-ease-relevant genes from the bewildering amounts of raw data, which is one of the most critical themes in the post-genomic era, but it is generally ignored due to lack of an efficient approach. In this paper, we present a novel ensemble method for gene extraction that can be tailored to fulfill multiple biological tasks including (i) precise classification of biological types; (ii) disease gene mining; and (iii) target-driven gene networking. We also give a numerical application for (i) and (ii) using a public microarrary data set and set aside a separate paper to address (iii).展开更多
