The thermodynamic analyses and reductive sintering experimental results show that ferrous oxide generated from the reduction of ferric oxide by carbon can react with silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide to form ferrous silicate and hercynite at 1173 K, respectively. In the trinary system Fe2O3?SiO2?Al2O3, ferrous oxide obtained from ferric oxide reduction preferentially reacts with aluminum oxide to form hercynite, and the reaction of ferrous oxide with silicon dioxide occurs only when there is surplus ferrous oxide after the exhaustion of aluminum oxide. When sintering temperature rises to 1473 K, hercynite further reacts with silicon dioxide to form mullite and ferrous oxide. Results presented in this work may throw a new light upon the separation of alumina and silica present in Al/Fe-bearing materials with low mass ratio of alumina to silica in alumina production.展开更多

The activity of FCR and expression of FCR gene (FRO2) in Citrus junos Sieb. ex Tanaka tolerant to iron_deficiency and Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf. susceptible to iron_deficiency were determined to elucidate the physiological difference which causes the different tolerance of the two citrus rootstocks to iron stress. The activity of FCR was detectable in excised roots and was stimulated about 20_times in C. junos and only about 3_times in P. trifoliata under iron deficiency for four weeks. The FRO2 of Arabidopsis was used as a probe, the tissue print technique was used to ascertain the expression of the FCR gene in C. junos and P. trifoliata under iron stress. High_level transcripts were observed in the absorptive root, young green stem as well as new leaf of C. junos under iron stress for two weeks, and the transcripts were accumulated only slightly in P. trifoliata at the same time. The results showed that the obvious increase of FCR activity was an important reason for the tolerance of C. junos to iron_deficiency, and the regulation of FCR activity seemed to be at the transcriptional level, and the expression of FRO2 occurred in the root, stem and leaf.展开更多

Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX) analysis showed that lots of cracks and pits can be found on the chalcopyrite surface after bioleaching and that iron oxide was filled in these cracks and pits. The variations of contents of ferric iron and EPS on the chalcopyrite surface were investigated. The results indicated that the content of EPS increased rapidly in the first 10 d and then maintained at a stable level, while ferric iron content increased all the time, especially in the later stage of bioleaching.展开更多

As the main products of dissimilatory iron reduction, the Fe(Ⅱ) species accumulation could indicate the reduction ability. The effects of different green manures on Fe(Ⅲ) reduction in paddy soil were explored based on a 31-year rice-rice-winter green manure cropping experiment. Four treatments were involved, i.e., rice-rice-milk vetch (RRV), rice-rice-rape (RRP), rice-rice-ryegrass (RRG) and rice-rice-winter fallow (RRF). Soils were sampled at flowering stage of milk vetch and rape (S1), before transplantation (S2), at tillering (S3), jointing (S4), and mature (S5) stages of the early rice, and after the harvest of the late rice (S6). The contents of TFeHa (HCI-extractable total Fe), Fe(Ⅱ)HCI (HCI-extractable Fe(Ⅱ) species) and Fe(Ⅲ)HCI (HCI- extractable Fe(Ⅲ) species) were measured. The correlations among those Fe species with selected soil environmental factors and the dynamic characteristics of Fe(Ⅱ)HCI accumulation were investigated. The results showed that TFeHc~ in RRF was significantly higher than those in the green manure treatments at most of the sampling stages. Fe(II)Ha increased rapidly after the incorporation of green manures in all treatments and kept rising with the growth of early rice. Fe(Ⅱ)Ha in RRG was quite different from those in other treatments, i.e., it reached the highest at the S2 stage, then increased slowly and became the lowest one at the S4 and S5 stages. Fe(Ⅲ)Ha showed oppositely, and Fe(Ⅱ)HCI/Fe(Ⅲ)HCI performed similarly to Fe(Ⅱ)HCI The maximum accumulation potential of Fe(Ⅱ)HCI was significantly higher in RRF, while the highest maximum reaction rate of Fe(Ⅱ)Ha accumulation appeared in RRG. Significant correlations were found between the indexes of Fe(Ⅱ)HCI accumulation and soil pH, oxidation-reduction potential (Eh) and total organic acids, respectively. In together, we found that long-term application of green manures decreased the TFeHa in red paddy soils, but promoted the ability of Fe(lll) reduction, especially the ryegrass; Fe(Ⅱ)Ha increased along with the growth of rice and was affected by soil conditions and environmental factors, especially the water and redox ability.展开更多

The mechanism of destruction of sodium cyanide with or without ferric oxide addition under various conditions was examined by XRD, DSC-TG, and chemical analysis technologies. In the absence of ferric oxide, sodium cyanide decomposes at 587.4 ℃ in air and 879.2 ℃ in argon atmosphere. In the presence of ferric oxide, about 60% of sodium cyanide decomposes at 350 ℃ for 30 min in argon, while almost all sodium cyanide decomposes within 30 min in air or O2 with mass ratio of ferric oxide to sodium cyanide of 1:1. The increase of ferric oxide addition, temperature, and heating time facilitates the destruction of sodium cyanide. It is believed that with ferric oxide addition, NaCN reacts with Fe2O3 to form Na4Fe(CN)6, Na2CO3, NaNO2 and Fe3O4 in argon. NaCN decomposes into NaCNO, Na4Fe(CN)6, minor NaNO2, and the formed NaCNO and Na4Fe(CN)6 further decompose into Na2CO3, CO2, N2, FeOx, and minor NOx in air or O2.展开更多

Using reduction lixivium from high-acid reductive leaching of zinc oxide calcine as raw solution, copper and indium were firstly recovered by iron powder cementation and neutralization. The recovery ratios of Cu and In are 99% and 95%, respectively. Some harmful impurities that have negative influences on magnetic properties of soft magnetic ferrite material are deeply removed with sulfidization purification and neutral flocculation method. Under the optimum conditions, the content of impurities like Cu, Pb, As, Al in pure Zn-Fe sulfate solution are less than 0.004 g/L, but those of Cd, Si, Ca and Mg are relatively high. Finally, thermal precipitation of iron is carried out at 210 ℃ for 1.5 h. The precipitation ratio of Fe is 93.33%. Compared with the quality standard of ferric oxide for soft magnetic ferrite materials, the contents of Al and Mg in obtained ferric oxide powder meet the requirement of YHT1 level of ferric oxide, and those of Si, Ca meet the requirement of YHT3 level of ferric oxide. XRD and SEM characterizations confirm that the obtained sample is well-dispersed spindle spherule with regular a-Fe2O3 crystal structure. The length-to-diameter ratio ofa-Fe2O3 powder is (3-4):1 with an average particle size of 0.5 μm.展开更多

In this paper, High-Viscosity Oil Refining wastewater from Liaohe Petrochemical Corporation was the treatment object. Overall, the in-fluencing factors and synthesis technology conditions of PSPFS were determined by experiments. First of all, the conditions of influencing factors were showed as follows: the mass percent concentration of ferrous sulfate 55%,concentration of sodium silicate 15% , the molar ratio of ferrous sulfate and hydrogen peroxide 1.2:1, oxidation temperature 40 degree Celsius, oxidation time 4 hours, polymerization temperature 60 de-gree Celsius and polymerization time 2 hours. Secondly, the optimal ratios of components were determined by uniform design method. The molar ratio of Fe/Si is 5.0:1, Fe/H2SO4 is 3.2:1, and Fe/P is 18.0:1. At last, the optimal experimental condition was determined as follows: the dosing quantity 200mg/L, pH value 5.5~9, temperature 25~45℃, stirring time 2 min, and standing time 3 min, according to the result of floc-culation experiments with PSPFS. Besides, the result of the comparative experiments showed that the effi-ciency of PSPFS was much better than the reference flocculants.展开更多

文摘This paper studied the effect of ferric chloride on waste sludge digestion, dewatering and sedimentation under the optimized doses in co-precipitation phosphorus removal process. The experimental results showed that the concentration of mixed liquid suspended solid(MLSS) was 2436 mg.L-1 and 2385 mg.L-1 in co-precipitation phosphorus removal process(CPR) and biological phosphorous removal process(BPR),respectively. The sludge reduction ratio for each process was 22.6% and 24.6% in aerobic digestion, and 27.6% and 29.9% in anaerobic digestion, respectively.Due to the addition of chemical to the end of aeration tank, the sludge content of CPR was slightly higher than that of BPR,but the sludge reduction rate for both processes had no distinct difference. The sludge volume index(SVI) and sludge specific resistance of BPR were 126 ml.g-1 and 11.7×1012 m.kg-1,respectively,while those of CPR were only 98 ml.g-1 and 7.1×1012 m.kg-1,indicating that CPR chemical could improve sludge settling and dewatering.

文摘Efficient destruction of cyanide by thermal decomposition with ferric oxide addition was proposed. NaCN decomposes into NaCNO, Na4Fe(CN)6, minor NaNO2, and the formed NaCNO and Na4Fe(CN)6 further decompose into Na2CO3, CO2, N2, FeOx, and minor NOx in air or O2.

文摘FeS2/Fe composites were mechanochemically prepared with iron powder and pyrite for the stabilization of ferrite arsenate sludge(FAS).The effects of preparation parameters on stabilization performance were investigated. The results show that the optimum conditions are FeS2/Fe molar ratio of 5:5,milling time of 2 h,ball-to-material mass ratio of 15:1 and milling with stainless steel ball. Then, the composites were characterized by XRD,SEM,FTIR,etc. The physicochemical properties of FeS2/Fe mixture change dramatically, which is responsible for its excellent performance. Finally, the stabilization process of FAS was optimized. When the FAS is mixed with composites at mass ratio of 4:1 and milled for 30 min,the As leaching concentration of FAS can be reduced from 639.15 to 4.74 mg/L with the stabilization ratio of 99.2%.

文摘Considering that Fe,Al elements in bauxite residue are active components for water purification,an effective polyaluminum ferric chloride(PAFC)coagulant derived from bauxite residue, with Fe2O3 content>5.1%,Al2O3%>6.5%,basicity>65%,was successfully prepared. The effect of as-prepared PAFC on the zeta potential for printing and dyeing wastewater was investigated.Comparing with polyferric chloride(PFC)and polyferric sulfate(PFS)for printing and dyeing wastewater treatment, prepared bauxite residue-based PAFC exhibited the optimal performance in the aspects of chromaticity and chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal rate.Furthermore, the combination of bauxite residue-based PAFC and PFS for synergy coagulation of such wastewater demonstrated an obvious positive effect. With the proportion between as-prepared PAFC and PFS to be 2.5:1,the COD of treated wastewater could be further reduced to meet the national level A standard of China, providing a promising route to solve the problem of substandard printing and dyeing sewage outfall by a simple coagulation strategy.

文摘A hydrometallurgical process for indium extraction and ferric oxide powder preparation for soft magnetic ferrite material was developed. The length-to-diameter ratio ofa-Fe2O3 powder is (3-4):1 with an average particle size of 0.5 μm.
文摘A new kind of flocculants, named Polymer Silicate Phosphate Ferric Sulfate(PSPFS), was synthesized by ferrous sulfate used as the main material and activated silicic acid as additive. Besides, the result of the comparative experiments showed that the effi-ciency of PSPFS was much better than the reference flocculants.
