The ...A carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with ferrocene carboxylic acid (FcCA) and TiO2 nanoparticles was constructed by incorporating TiO2 nanoparticles and ferrocene carboxylic acid into the carbon paste matrix. The electrochemical behavior of captopril (CAP) at the surface of the modified electrode was investigated using electroanalytical methods. The modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of CAP in aqueous solutions at physiological pH values. Cyclic voltammetric curves showed that the oxidation of CAP at the surface of the modified electrode reduced its overpotential by more than 290 mV. The modified electrode was used for detecting captopril using cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry techniques. A calibration curve in the range of 0.03 to 2400 μmol/L was obtained that had a detection limit of 0.0096 μmol/L (3?) under the optimized conditions. The modified electrode was successfully used for the determination of captopril in pharmaceutical and biological samples.展开更多

Amperometric determination of glucose has been performed at potential of 0.30 V vs SCE. The response time was 〈 15 s. For the reaction with heterocycles, the order of the reactivity was S-heterocycles > N-heterocycles > O-heterocycles. Furthermore, when the results for the heterocycles were compared to those for the corresponding hydrocarbons, the hydrocarbons had a higher reactivity. These results mean that the reactivity would be mainly governed by the electron density of these arenes.展开更多

It is found that 1,1′-bishydroxylmethyl ferrocene etc 16 compounds are new substrates of laccase. The relation of structure and function of substrates is discussed. The affective factors of laccase-catalyzed oxidation of 1,1′-bishydroxyl-methyl ferrocene—pH, temperature, substrate concentration, laccase quantity and surfactant were investigated further.展开更多

The films were measured by Sca...In this paper, the characterization of thin films, deposited with the precursor ferrocene (FcH) by the plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) technique, was investigated. The films were measured by Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis (ESCA), and Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID). It was observed that the film's layer is homogeneous in thickness and has a dense morphology without cracks. The surface roughness is about 36 nm. From the results of ESCA, it can be inferred that the film mainly contains the compound FeOOH, and carbon is combined with oxygen in different forms under different supply-powers. The hysteresis loops indicate that the film is of soft magnetism.展开更多

The resulting azide-terminated BDD surfaces were used to trigger the "click" reaction. Because of the attractive electrochemical properties of ferrocene-containing molecules, such as fast electron transfer rates, reversible redox activities, and favorable redox potentials, we show that ferrocene derivatives can be grafted onto non-oxidized diamond surfaces by "click chemistry". These redox-active ferrocene-containing layers on a BDD surface, because of their ability to store and release charges reversibly, have the potential to be used as hybrid molecular/semiconductor memory devices.展开更多
