The paper aims at developing a reactionless control method that drives the manipulator to manipulate passive objects with high precision, while inducing no disturbances to its base attitude. To this end, decomposition of the target dynamics from the base dynamics is discussed, so that they can be considered as two independent subsystems. A reactionless nonlinear controller is presented, which ensures high-precision manipulation of the targets and that the base orientation is unchanged. This is achieved by combining the robust finite-time control with the reaction null space. Finally, the performance of the proposed method is examined by comparing it with that of a reactionless PD controller and a pure finite-time controller.展开更多

To enhance the disturbance rejection ability of the robust flight control for fighters, the sliding mode disturbance observer is designed to estimate the compounded disturbance including the unknown external disturbance and the effect of the control input saturation. Based on the backstepping technique and the compounded disturbance estimated output, the robust bounded flight control scheme is proposed for the fighter with the unknown external disturbance and the control input saturation. The closed-loop system stability under the developed robust bounded flight control scheme is rigorously proved using the Lyapunov method and the uniformly asymptotical convergences of all closed-loop signals are guaranteed. Finally, simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed robust bounded flight control scheme for the uncertain longitudinal flight dynamics of the fighter.展开更多

We show that the states of the second-order system will be stabilized to a region containing the origin. The radius of this region is determined by the control parameters and can be rendered as small as desired. The rigorous stability analysis is also given. Compared with the conventional PD control law, the finite-time control law yields a better disturbance rejection performance. Numerical simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.展开更多

Based on the finite-time stability theory, two control strategies are presented to achieve finite-time chaos control. In addition, the problem of how to stabilize an unstable nonzero equilibrium point in a finite time is solved by coordinate transformation for the first time. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and the robustness of the proposed scheme. Based on the leader-follower formation mode, two formation relative motion models in different coordinate frames are established and compared. The three-dimension model built in a follower reference coordinate frame is chosen due to its control inputs decoupling, then this model is decoupled into three subsystems. For each subsystem a robust formation controller is proposed based on the disturbance observer and f'mite-time control theory when the external disturbance exits. The stability of the closed-loop system adopting the controller is proved theoretically. Simulation resuits show that the follower can foUow the leader and keep the desired formation despite the external disturbance, which validates the effectiveness of the proposed robust formation controller.展开更多

Delay-dependent sufficient conditions for robust finite-time stabilization and H∞ control are first established to guarantee finite-time stability of the closed-loop system via solving Riccati differential equations. Applications to finite-time H∞ control to a class of linear autonomous time-delay systems with bounded control are also discussed in this paper.Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多

Firstly, the nominal load model of shield machine and the ranges of model parameters were obtained by the soil mechanics parameters of certain geological conditions and the messages of the self-learning of shield machine by tunneling for previous segments. Based on this rectification mechanism model with known ranges of parameters,a sliding mode robust controller was proposed. Finally, the simulation analysis was developed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller. The simulation results show that the sliding mode robust controller can be implemented in the attitude rectification process of the shield machine and it has stronger robustness to overcome the soil disturbance.展开更多

Modeling of multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) NCSs with networkinduced delays and uncertainties through new methods are proposed. Some new stability criteria in terms of LMIs are derived by using Lyapunov stability theory combined with linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) techniques. We analyze the delay-dependent asymptotic stability and obtain maximum allowable delay bound (MADB) for the NCSs with the proposed methods. Compared with the reported results, the proposed results obtain a much less conservative MADB which are more general. Numerical example and simulation is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.展开更多

Based on the bounded real lemma a sufficient condition for the existence of a decentralized robust H_∞ state feedback controller was derived.
