[Objective] The paper was scientifically evaluate the potential fishery productivity of Lihu using GIS technology.[Method] The evaluation of potential fishery productivity in Lihu was based on GIS and AHP according to...[Objective] The paper was scientifically evaluate the potential fishery productivity of Lihu using GIS technology.[Method] The evaluation of potential fishery productivity in Lihu was based on GIS and AHP according to the characteristics of fisheries resources in Lihu Lake.The evaluation system included 3 sub-models including water quality,biodiversity and hydrological condition,which totally had 10 indexes.Judgment matrix was constructed based the advices of professors of fisheries resources,and the indicator’s weight were calculated by the process of AHP.The ranking distributing map of potential fishery productivity in Lihu was obtained by the model of raster analysis,raster calculator,spatial overlay and classification models of ARC/INFO.[Result] Potential fishery productivity of Lihu was divided into 4 grades in term of higher,high,general and low,and which covered 2.643 3,3.844 8,1.121 4 and 0.400 5 hm2,respectively.[Conclusion] The study provided theoretical basis for ecological reconstruction of Lihu Lake.展开更多
The present study is the first assessment of inorganic arsenic exposure from various fishery products to the Indonesian population based on a national total diet study(TDS).Based on the TDS report on food chemical con...The present study is the first assessment of inorganic arsenic exposure from various fishery products to the Indonesian population based on a national total diet study(TDS).Based on the TDS report on food chemical contaminants,fish and processed fishery products are among the foodstuffs significantly contributing to total arsenic(t-As)exposure in Indonesia.However,there is no assessment yet for the Indonesian population to inorganic arsenic(i-As),which is known as the most harmful of arsenic compounds as it potentially promotes acute and chronic poisoning.The present assessment is aimed to estimate the exposure to i-As from fish and processed fishery products as well as the level of health risks in different age groups in Indonesia,based on the available t-As concentration data.The results showed that the mean exposure to t-As and i-As from fish and processed fishery products in various age groups were 1.19-2.67 μg/kg bw/day and 0.04-0.08 mg/kg bw/day,respectively.Exposure in various age groups revealed that the highest arsenic exposure was in toddlers(0-4 years)and the lowest in the age group of 19-55 years.Wet seasonings and marine fish consumption led to the most contributors to i-As exposure.The carcinogenic risk of i-As exposure based on the margin of exposure(MOE)demonstrated a low to moderate risk.However,a particular concern to the toddler group is required as the cancer risk(CR)value is higher than the acceptable threshold(>10^(-4)).Additionally,the hazard quotient(HQ)of i-As exposure was determined as a low possibility of chronic risk.展开更多
Condensed phosphates are used as food additives,especially in marine products and meat,to improve food quality.The import and consumption of fishery and processed marine food products in Republic of Korea have reporte...Condensed phosphates are used as food additives,especially in marine products and meat,to improve food quality.The import and consumption of fishery and processed marine food products in Republic of Korea have reportedly increased by~5 per cent annually.However,processed marine food products are often intentionally adulterated with excessive amounts of condensed phosphates to increase their weight.Excessive intake of condensed phosphates via consuming processed marine food products can lead to various adverse effects on human health due to anionic imbalance.Herein,we conducted a safety assessment of condensed phosphates in 14 types of fishery and processed marine food products in Korea for the first time.Subgroup analysis of various factors including gender,age,and region was also performed,and the risk level of exposure for each group was estimated.Safety assessments by age and gender indicated that infants were at the highest risk.In the regional safety assessment,Chungnam,the most inland region,showed the lowest risk.For both the general and the high-intake groups(95th percentile)in all classifications,the risk was lower(<20 per cent)than the international standard,and the phosphorus content of the 14 types of processed marine products in Korea was confirmed to be safe for human consumption.展开更多
