The grid connection of a high proportion of re-newable energy generation increases the uncertainty in power systems.Therefore,the flexibility margin of different energy sources needs to be quantified to cope with the uncertainty change and maintain the dynamic balance of power system flexibility.In this paper,first,the flexibility characteristics of source,net,load and power and load community(PLC)are analyzed.The dynamic equilibrium relationship among them is briefly introduced.Secondly,taking into full consideration the complex output characteristics of different energy sources and combining their respective flexibility characteristics,a quantitative model of the power source flexibility margin for thermal power,hydro-power,gas power and concentrating solar power is established.A quantitative model for a power source flexibility margin in PV and wind power based on blind number theory is estab-lished.Furthermore,the calculation method of theoretical power generation capacity,which can reflect different characteristics of output power of various energy sources,is presented.The actual output power of each power source in each period is predicted.Finally,a case study shows that the model and method can consider the operating characteristics of different types of power sources,and quickly and accurately quantify the adjustable range of flexibility margins of each power source at different periods of time,which can provide an important basis for evaluating the capacity of renewable energy consumption and the optimal operation of multi-energy power systems(MEPSs). 展开更多

Along with the rapid development of flexible and wearable electronic devices,there have been a strong demand for flexible power sources,which has in turn triggered considerable efforts on the research and development of flexible batteries.An ideal flexible battery would have not only just high electrochemical performance but also excellent mechanical deformabilities.Therefore,battery constituent components,chemistry systems,device configurations,and practical applications are all pivotal aspects that should be thoroughly considered.Herein,we systematically and comprehensively review the fundamentals and recent progresses of flexible batteries in terms of these important aspects.Specifically,we first discuss the requirements for constituent components,including the current collector,electrolyte,and separator,in flexible batteries.We then elucidate battery chemistry systems that have been studied for various flexible batteries,including lithium-ion batteries,non-lithium-ion batteries,and high-energy metal batteries.This is followed by discussions on the device configurations for flexible batteries,including onedimensional fiber-shaped,two-dimensional film-shaped,and three-dimensional structural batteries.Finally,we summarize recent efforts in exploring practical applications for flexible batteries.Current challenges and future opportunities for the research and development of flexible batteries are also discussed. 展开更多

The deregulation of the power industry requires avoiding market power abuse to maintain the market competitiveness. To this end, a sequence of assessment measurements or mitigation mechanisms is required. Meanwhile, the increasing renewable energy resources(RESs) and flexible demand response resources(DRSs) are changing the behaviors of market participants and creating new cases of market power abuse.Such new circumstances bring the new evaluation and control methods of market power to the forefront. This paper provides a comprehensive review of market power in the reshaping of power systems due to the increasing RES and the development of DRS. The market power at the supply side, demand side,and in the multi-energy system is categorized and reviewed. In addition, the applications of market power supervision measures in the US, the Nordics, UK, and China are summarized.Furthermore, the unsolved issues, possible key technologies,and potential research topics on market power are discussed. 展开更多
