Bifurcation Analysis of Homoclinic Flips at Principal Eigenvalues Resonance

One orbit flip and two inclination flips bifurcation is considered with resonant principal eigenvalues. We introduce a local active coordinate system to establish bifurcation equation and obtain the conditions when the original homoclinic orbit is kept or broken. We also prove the existence and the existence regions of double 1-periodic orbit bifurcation. Moreover, the complicated homoclinic-doubling bifurcations are found and expressed approximately, and are well located.

Ethnic differences in gastric cancer genetic susceptibility:Allele flips of interleukin gene

Polymorphisms in promoter regions of inflammatory cytokines have been widely studied,and potentially functional polymorphisms have been discovered.Conflicting results from meta-analyses of interleukin(IL)-1B and IL-10 polymorphisms show differences in gastric cancer susceptibilities between Caucasian and Asian populations.In particular,we note the suggestion of an allele flip in IL-1B and IL-10 gene polymorphisms.In Asian populations,the IL-1B-1464G/-511C/-31T haplotype indicates risk for gastric cancer,while the opposite haplotype,IL-1B-1464C/-511T/-31C is the risk-related allele in Caucasians.Furthermore,while IL-10-1082G/-819C/-592C is associated with gastric cancer in Asians,IL-10-1082A/-819T/-592T is linked to gastric cancer risk in Caucasians.These seemingly contradictory results may be attributed to distinct carcinogenic mechanisms underlying the different gastric cancer subtypes.The allele flip observed in IL-10 and gastric cancer appears to reflect allelic heterogeneity,similar to that observed in IL-1B.In this review,we focus on the allele flip phenomenon observed between different ethnic groups in an effort to resolve certain controversial results from recent studies on interleukin polymorphism.In addition,we re-emphasize the importance of stratifying gastric cancer subtypes based on anatomical site and Lauren classification to prevent false associations arising through dilution of true ones.

Resonant Homoclinic Bifurcations with Orbit Flips and Inclination Flips

Homoclinic bifurcation with one orbit flip, two inclination flips and resonance in the tangent directions of homoclinic orbit is considered. By studying the associated successor functions constructed from a local active coordinate system, we prove the existence of double 1-periodic orbit, 1-homoclinic orbit, and also some coexistence conditions of 1-periodic orbit and 1-homoclinic orbit.

Research and Practice of Flipped Classroom Teaching Mode of Integrated Business English Course Under MOOC Environment

Bifurcation Analysis of the Multiple Flips Homoclinic Orbit

A high-codimension homoclinic bifurcation is considered with one orbit flip and two inclination flips accompanied by resonant principal eigenvalues. A local active coordinate system in a small neighborhood of homoclinic orbit is introduced. By analysis of the bifurcation equation, the authors obtain the conditions when the original flip homoclinic orbit is kept or broken. The existence and the existence regions of several double periodic orbits and one triple periodic orbit bifurcations are proved. Moreover, the complicated homoclinic-doubling bifurcations are found and expressed approximately.

Codimension 2 reversible heteroclinic bifurcations with inclination flips

In this paper, the heteroclinic bifurcation problem with real eigenvalues and two incli- nation-flips is investigated in a four-dimensional reversible system. We perform a detailed study of this case by using the method originally established in the papers "Problems in Homoclinic Bifurcation with Higher Dimensions" and "Bifurcation of Heteroclinic Loops," and obtain fruitful results, such as the existence and coexistence of R-symmetric homoclinic orbit and R-symmetric heteroclinic loops, R-symmetric homoclinic orbit and R-symmetric periodic orbit. The double R-symmetric homoclinic bifurcation (i.e., two-fold R-symmetric homoclinic bifurcation) for reversible heteroclinic loops is found, and the existence of infinitely many R-symmetric periodic orbits accumulating onto a homoclinic orbit is demonstrated. The relevant bifurcation surfaces and the existence regions are also located.

Self-Efficacy Among Nursing Students Using Flipped and Traditional Teaching Modalities

Objective:To measure the self-efficacy of nursing students taught using both flipped and traditional classroom modalities.Method:A quantitative research design was employed.The control group was taught using the traditional classroom model,while the experimental group utilized the flipped classroom model.The study population consisted of undergraduate nursing majors at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Two out of twelve classes were selected through random sampling.Results:The study presents an analysis of the t-test results using SPSS,which shows a significant difference when the calculated P-value falls between 0.00 and 0.05.The P-value obtained was 0.00,indicating a statistically significant difference.Conclusion:The teaching model,whether flipped or traditional,has an impact on nursing students’self-efficacy.Students in the flipped classroom exhibited higher self-efficacy in mastering the curriculum.

Research and Discussion on Flipped Classroom Combined with Case-Based Learning in Pharmacoeconomics Teaching

Objective:To explore the application effect of flipped classroom combined with case-based learning teaching methods in pharmacoeconomics teaching.Methods:The students majoring in clinical pharmacy in 2019 were selected as the study subjects,and the cost-effectiveness analysis of different dosage forms of Yinzhihuang in the treatment of neonatal jaundice was selected as the teaching case.The flipped classroom combined with case-based learning teaching method was used to carry out theoretical teaching to the students.After the course,questionnaires were distributed through the Sojump platform to evaluate the teaching effect.Results:The results of the questionnaire showed that 85.71%of the students believed that the flipped classroom combined with case-based learning teaching method was helpful in mobilizing the learning enthusiasm and initiative,and improving the comprehensive application ability of the knowledge of pharmacoeconomics.92.86%of the students think that it is conducive to the understanding and memorization of learning content,as well as the cultivation of teamwork,communication,etc.Conclusion:Flipped classroom combined with case-based learning teaching method can improve students’knowledge mastery,thinking skills,and practical application skills,as well as optimize and improve teachers’teaching levels.

Analysis of the Application Value of Virtual Reality Combined with Flipped Classroom Teaching Mode in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Teaching

Objective:To analyze the value of using virtual reality combined with the flipped classroom teaching model in teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).Methods:Two classes of our nursing program were randomly selected for the study from September 2022 to September 2023,Class A(52 students,conventional teaching method)and Class B(52 students,virtual reality combined with flipped classroom teaching mode).The assessment scores and independent learning ability scores of the students in the two classes were compared.Results:CPR theory and operation scores,passing rate,and independent learning ability scores of Class B were higher than those of Class A(P<0.05).Conclusion:the use of virtual reality combined with the flipped classroom teaching mode in CPR teaching is conducive to the improvement of students’assessment scores and independent learning ability.

Application of Cooperative Learning and Flipped Classrooms in University Basketball Courses in China

This study investigates the application of the teaching model combining cooperative learning and flipped classrooms in university basketball courses in China.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional basketball teaching model and students’satisfaction with the course,the necessity of implementing cooperative learning and flipped classrooms is proposed.The study planned in detail the implementation strategies before class,in the classroom,and after class,and compared them with the control group through an experimental design.The experimental results showed that the new teaching mode demonstrated significant advantages in terms of learning outcomes,student satisfaction,and teacher evaluation.This study provides a valuable reference for the future reform of the physical education curriculum.

Codimension 3 nonresonant bifurcations of homoclinic orbits with two inclination flips

Homoclinic bifurcations in four-dimensional vector fields are investigated by setting up a local coordinate near a homoclinic orbit. This homoclinic orbit is principal but its stable and unstable foliations take inclination flip. The existence, nonexistence, and uniqueness of the 1-homoclinic orbit and 1-periodic orbit are studied. The existence of the two-fold 1-periodic orbit and three-fold 1 -periodic orbit are also obtained. It is indicated that the number of periodic orbits bifurcated from this kind of homoclinic orbits depends heavily on the strength of the inclination flip.

Codimension-4 Resonant Homoclinic Bifurcations with Orbit Flips and Inclination Flips

The paper studies a codimension-4 resonant homoclinic bifurcation with one orbit flip and two inclination flips, where the resonance takes place in the tangent direction of homoclinic orbit.Local active coordinate system is introduced to construct the Poincar′e returning map, and also the associated successor functions. We prove the existence of the saddle-node bifurcation, the perioddoubling bifurcation and the homoclinic-doubling bifurcation, and also locate the corresponding 1-periodic orbit, 1-homoclinic orbit, double periodic orbits and some 2n-homoclinic orbits.

一类离散不可逆平面映射的分支

本文主要研究的是一类离散的不可逆平面映射,当参数变化时,该映射动态的变化情况。首先,对不可逆平面映射的不动点的存在性及稳定性进行了分析,得到不可逆平面映射有两个不动点,通过对参数a,b进行分析,分别得出两个不动点稳定性的条件;其次,通过对参数b进行控制,从而导出flip分支、transcritical分支及Hopf分支存在的充分条件;最后通过数值模拟,验证了这些分支存在条件的理论结果。

Flipped classroom approach to global outreach:cross-cultural teaching of horizontal strabismus to Chinese ophthalmology residents

AIM:To evaluate the flipped classroom model for teaching horizontal strabismus didactics in an ophthalmology residency program in China as part of a visiting professorship from the United States.METHODS:Residents from an ophthalmology residency program in China were invited to participate in flipped classroom sessions taught by an experienced American ophthalmology faculty in 2018.Residents were instructed to watch a pre-class video lecture prior to the in-class-casebased activity.Content tests(5 Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program style questions)and surveys were administered before and after the classroom sessions(100%response rate).These results were compared to that of an American cohort who were taught the same content.RESULTS:The Chinese cohort of 12 residents preferred the flipped classroom to the traditional classroom at higher rates than the American cohort of 40 residents(92%vs 55%,P=0.04)and felt that all ophthalmology topics would be appropriate for the flipped classroom teaching style(P-values between 0.008 and<0.001).In both Chinese and American cohorts,we found that the exotropia curriculum saw a small but significant improvement in performance following the flipped classroom session(P=0.025 for Chinese residents;P=0.001 for US residents),whereas scores in both groups for the esotropia course did not significantly improve.CONCLUSION:This is the first study to evaluate the flipped classroom model implemented by a visiting ophthalmology professor in a global outreach setting.The flipped classroom sessions are viewed favorably by the Chinese residents relative to the US cohort with a modest impact on knowledge.Decreased in-person interpreter requirement and increased student engagement make this model valuable in cross-cultural visiting professorship settings.Finally,the flipped classroom may lend itself well to a virtual format to prevent the transmission of COVID-19,although such a format requires further study.
