This paper proposes the operation principle and a new flux estimation method for sensorless control strategy for the dual-fed flux modulated electric motor(DFFM).The DFFM is designed based on the flux modulation theory,it includes two stator windings and one rotor which simplify the mechanical structure.The rotor has only modulation iron and no permanent magnets on it,so there is no cogging torque problem in this motor.With adjustment of the outer and inner stator flux rotating frequency and amplitude,different rotation speed and torque of the sandwiched rotor can be gained for the DFFM.Furthermore,an improved flux estimation based sensorless control strategy is performed on the proposed machine to fit the two winding set control situation.The startup and performance of the proposed control strategy is verified by the simulation and experiments. 展开更多

Application of the Reciprocal Analysis for Sensible and Latent Heat Fluxes with Evapotranspiration at a Humid Region 被引量:2

But the estimation issue still remains until nowadays. This research attempts to make clear this problem by the following way. In a humid region, by applying the Bowen ratio concept and optimum procedure on the soil surface, sensible and latent heat fluxes are estimated using net radiation (Rn) and heat flux into the ground (G). The method uses air temperature and humidity at a single height by reciprocally determining the soil surface temperature (Ts) and the relative humidity (rehs). This feature can be remarkably extended to the utilization. The validity of the method is confirmed by comparing of observed and estimated latent (lE) and sensible heat flux (H) using the eddy covariance method. The hourly change of the lE, H, Ts and rehs on the soil surface, yearly change of lE and H and relationship of estimated lE and H versus observed are clarified. Furthermore, monthly evapotranspiration is estimated from the lE. The research was conducted using hourly data of FLUXNET at a site of Japan, three sites of the United States and two sites of Europe in humid regions having over 1000 mm of annual precipitation. 展开更多

A speed sensorless vector control system of induction motor with estimated rotor speed and rotor flux using a new reduced order extended Kalman filter is proposed. With this method, two rotor flux components are selected as the state variables, and the rotor speed as an estimated parameter is regarded as an augmented state variable. The algorithm with reduced order decreases the computational complexity and makes the proposed estimator feasible to be implemented in real time. The simulation results show high accuracy of the estimation algorithm and good performance of speed control, and verify the usefulness of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

In this paper, a novel calibration integral equation is derived for resolving double-sided, two-probe inverse heat conduction problem of surface heat flux estimation. In contrast to the conventional inverse heat conduction techniques, this calibration approach does not require explicit input of the probe locations, thermophysical properties of the host material and temperature sensor parameters related to thermal contact resistance, sensor capacitance and conductive lead losses. All those parameters and properties are inherently contained in the calibration framework in terms of Volterra integral equation of the first kind. The Laplace transform technique is applied and the frequency domain manipulations of the heat equation are performed for deriving the calibration integral equation. Due to the ill-posed nature, regularization is required for the inverse heat conduction problem, a future-time method or singular value decomposition (SVD) can be used for stabilizing the ill-posed Volterra integral equation of the first kind. 展开更多

Ozone(O3) concentration and flux(Fo) were measured using the eddy covariance technique over a wheat field in the Northwest-Shandong Plain of China. The O3-induced wheat yield loss was estimated by utilizing O3exposure-response models. The results showed that:(1) During the growing season(7 March to 7 June, 2012), the minimum(16.1 ppb V) and maximum(53.3 ppb V)mean O3 concentrations occurred at approximately 6:30 and 16:00, respectively. The mean and maximum of all measured O3 concentrations were 31.3 and 128.4 ppb V, respectively. The variation of O3 concentration was mainly affected by solar radiation and temperature.(2) The mean diurnal variation of deposition velocity(V d) can be divided into four phases, and the maximum occurred at noon(12:00). Averaged V d during daytime(6:00–18:00) and nighttime(18:00–6:00) were 0.42 and 0.14 cm/sec, respectively. The maximum of measured V d was about1.5 cm/sec. The magnitude of V d was influenced by the wheat growing stage, and its variation was significantly correlated with both global radiation and friction velocity.(3) The maximum mean F o appeared at 14:00, and the maximum measured F o was-33.5 nmol/(m^2·sec). Averaged F o during daytime and nighttime were-6.9 and-1.5 nmol/(m^2·sec), respectively.(4) Using O3 exposure-response functions obtained from the USA, Europe, and China, the O3-induced wheat yield reduction in the district was estimated as 12.9% on average(5.5%–23.3%). Large uncertainties were related to the statistical methods and environmental conditions involved in deriving the exposure-response functions. 展开更多

A torque control scheme for high-performance induction machine drives was developed to overcome some disadvantages of direct torque control (DTC). In the improved DTC method, the stator flux and the torque controllers use variable-structure control theory which does not require information about the rotor speed. Space vector modulation is applied to the voltage source inverter to reduce the torque, stator flux, and current ripples. The digital signal processor-based implementation is described in detail. The experimental results show that the system has good torque and stator flux response with small ripples. 展开更多
