In the circumstances, a concept of Virtual Synchronous Machine (VSM) is proposed, where the self-commutated power converters are emulating synchronous generators. This paper describes a converter control to contribute to enhancing the synchronizing torque. The proposed control is similar to the VSM but it simply realizes active power trades among power generation units including converter-based generators by modulating phase angles of their output voltages. Therefore, it can provide an effective support to regulate the system frequency where the total rated power of the converter-based generators increases as much as the one of conventional rotating generators like a microgrid. This paper especially focuses on its robustness where the number of converter-based generators is increased or they are dispersed in the power network. The effectiveness is verified by simulation study based on instantaneous values.展开更多

In this paper, this tradeoff is alleviated by collector doping engineering in the SiGe HBT by utilizing a novel composite of P+ and N- doping layers inside the collector-base (CB) space-charge region (SCR). Compared with the single N-type collector, the introduction of the thin P+ layers provides a reverse electric field weakening the electric field near the CB metallurgical junction without changing the field direction, and the thin N layer further effectively lowers the electric field near the CB metallurgical junction. As a result, the electron temperature near the CB metallurgical junction is lowered, consequently suppressing the impact ionization, thus BVcEO is improved with a slight degradation in fT. The results show that the product of fTXBVcEo is improved from 309.51 GHz.V to 326.35 GHz.V.展开更多

The influences of operating pressure, electrode distance, and duty cycle on the discharge are studied. When pressure reaches 60 Ton. (1 Torr= 1.33322 x 102 Pa) the transition from diffuse glow mode to constricted mode occurs. With the operating pressure varying from 10 Tort to 60 Torr, the discharge energy calculated from the charge-voltage (Q-V) Lissajous figure decreases rapidly, while it remains unchanged between 60 Torr and 460 Torr. Under certain experimental conditions, there exists an optimized electrode distance (8 mm). As the duty cycle of applied voltage increases, the voltage-current waveforms and Q-V Lissajous figures show no distinct changes.展开更多

Still, many existing secondary voltage control strategies neglect the co-regulation of the voltage at the point of common coupling(PCC) in the AC multi-MG system(MMS). When an MMS consists of sub-MGs connected in series, power flow between the sub-MGs is not possible if the PCC voltage regulation relies on traditional consensus control objectives. In addition, communication faults and sensor faults are inevitable in the MMS. Therefore, a resilient voltage regulation strategy based on containment control is proposed.First, the feedback linearization technique allows us to deal with the nonlinear distributed generation(DG) dynamics, where the PCC regulation problem of an AC MG is transformed into an output feedback tracking problem for a linear multi-agent system(MAS) containing nonlinear dynamics. This process is an indispensable pre-processing in control algorithm design. Moreover, considering the unavailability of full-state measurements and the potential faults present in the sensors, a novel follower observer is designed to handle communication faults. Based on this, a controller based on containment control is designed to achieve voltage regulation. In regulating multiple PCC voltages to a reasonable upper and lower limit, a voltage difference exists between sub-MGs to achieve power flow. In addition, the secondary control algorithm avoids using global information of directed communication network and fault boundaries for communication link and sensor faults. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the proposed strategy.展开更多

文摘This paper describes the development of a timer based voltage to frequency converter(V FC).Timer LM555is used in astable multivibrator mode with two OPTO-LDRs(light dependent resistors)in the circuitry. The frequency of timer output waveform which is measured using a digital storage oscillator(DSO)is almost linearly proportional to the applied input voltage.Hence we obtain a linear relationship between the frequency of timer output waveform and the input voltage.Because of its quasi-digital output, the main advantages of this developed converter are linear input-output relationship, small size, easy portabilityand high cost performance. In addition, the timer output waveform can be directly interfaced with personal computer or microprocessor/microcontroller for further processing of the input voltage signal without intervening any analog-to-digital converter(ADC).

文摘For the partial discharge test of electrical equipment with large capacitance, the use of lowfrequency voltage instead of power frequency voltage can effectively reduce the capacity requirements of test power supply. However, the validity of PD test under low frequency voltage needs to be evaluated. In order to investigate the influence of voltage frequency on corona discharge in the air,the discharge test of the tip-plate electrode under the frequency from 50 to0.1 Hz is carried out based on the impulse current method. The results show that some of the main features of corona under low frequency do not change. The magnitude of discharge in a positive half cycle is obviously larger than that in a negative cycle. The magnitude of discharge and interval in positive cycle are random, while that in negative cycle are regular. With the decrease of frequency, the inception voltage increases. The variation trend of maximum and average magnitude and repetition rate of the discharge in positive and negative half cycle with the variation of voltage frequency and magnitude is demonstrated, with discussion and interpretation from the aspects of space charge transportation, effective discharge time and transition of discharge modes. There is an obvious difference in the phase resolved pattern of partial discharge and characteristic parameters of discharge patterns between power and low frequency. The experimental results can be the reference for mode identification of partial discharge under low frequency tests. The trend of the measured parameters with the variation of frequency provides more information about the insulation defect than traditional measurements under a single frequency(usually 50 Hz).Also it helps to understand the mechanism of corona discharge with an explanation of the characteristics under different frequencies.

文摘The electrical and thermal characterization of near-surface electrical discharge plasma driven by radio frequency voltage are investigated experimentally in this paper. As the duty cycle of applied voltage increases, the voltage-current waveforms and Q-V Lissajous figures show no distinct changes.

文摘The distributed AC microgrid(MG) voltage restoration problem has been extensively studied. Finally, the simulation results verify the performance of the proposed strategy.
文摘A power saving frequency difference controlling method was introduced by the double inverter and motor experiment system. The characters of the system under differ- ent loads were investigated. The theoretical analysis and experiment results show the frequency difference method is a ideal power saving speed regulation method for the dou- ble inverter and motor system. The experiment system is simply structured, convenient to operate and provides a new way of character testing for frequency conversion speed regulation.

文摘In this letter, a scheduling scheme based on Dynamic Frequency Clocking (DFC) and multiple voltages is proposed for low power designs under the timing and the resource constraints. Unlike the conventional methods at high level synthesis where only voltages of nodes were considered, the scheme based on a gain function considers both voltage and frequency simultaneously to reduce energy consumption. Experiments with a number of DSP benchmarks show that the proposed scheme achieves an effective energy reduction.

文摘For dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)driven by AC voltage in helium at atmospheric, the relationship between the breakdown voltage and the driving frequency is experimentally investigated using a pair of parallel electrodes. The gap between the electrodes is 1 mm,4 mm,7 mm,and 10 mm,respectively.Meanwhile with an increment of 2 kHz,the applied AC voltage varies from 12 kHz to 30 kHz.In each experiment, the driving voltage increases slowly, till the helium-filled gap breaks down.Based on a number of experimental results and further analyses, conclusions are obtained as follows.(1)For a small gap(1 mm),the voltage that triggers the first breakdown(Uf)is close to the one that sustains steady breakdowns(Us).However,in the larger gaps(4,7,and 10 mm),Uf is obviously larger than Us.(2)For a fixed gap,Uf does not change significantly with the driving frequency, whereas in the gaps except the 1 mm one,Us drastically decreases with the increase of driving frequency.(3)The motion of residual space charges and the dissipation of positive column, two reasonable factors that explains asymmetrical discharges, are also main reasons for the effect of the driving frequency on the breakdown voltages.
