This work presents an integrated pressure-tracking controller for a novel electro-hydraulic brake(EHB) system considering friction and hydraulic disturbances. To this end, a mathematical model of an EHB system, consisting of actuator and hydraulic sub-systems, is derived for describing the fundamental dynamics of the system and designing the controller. Due to sensor inaccuracy and measurement noise, a Kalman filter is constructed to estimate push rod stroke for generating desired master cylinder pressure. To improve pressure-tracking accuracy, a linear friction model is generated by linearizing the nonlinear Tustin friction model, and the unmodeled friction disturbances are assumed unknown but bounded. A sliding mode controller is designed for compensating friction disturbances, and the stability of the controller is investigated using the Lyapunov method. The performance of the proposed integrated controller is evaluated with a hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) test platform equipped with the EHB prototype. The test results demonstrate that the EHB system with the proposed integrated controller not only achieves good pressure-tracking performance, but also maintains robustness to friction disturbances. 展开更多

The friction drive elevators the influence of the braking distance has very high significance to meet certain safety regulations and comfort.During the emergency braking the delay for the system a frame and a cabin should be within the range from 0.2 to 9.81 m/s~2.However,there are no specialist literatures regarding the issues connected with emergency braking of elevating devices either. The results of the own empirical research work are presented regarding the influence of design changes on the working parameters of the friction drive elevator gears.ASG100,KB 160,PP16,PR2000UD and CHP2000 types of safety progressive gears are analyzed.ASG100,KB 160,PP16,PR2000UD type progressive gears are already produced by European manufacturers.CHP2000 type gears are established as the alternative option for the already existing solutions. The unique cam system has been used in the CHP 2000 gears. The cam leverage gives the chance to unblock,in a very easy way,the clamed gears after braking. Thus,it is a key aspect to perform laboratory tests over the braking process of a newly created solution. The proper value of the braking distance has a significant influence on the value of delay in terms of binding standards. The influence of loading on the effective braking distance and the value of the falling elevator cabin speed are analyzed and the results are presented. The results presented are interesting from lift devices operation and a new model of CHP 2000progressive gear point of view. 展开更多

Brake friction materials with different zinc powder contents(0,2,4,6,8 wt.%)were fabricated via powder metallurgy method. The results indicate that with the increasing zinc powder content, the density and thermal conductivity of the materials gradually increase, while the hardness decreases monotonously. With increasing zinc powder content, the curve of the nominal friction coefficient shows fluctuating trend but the lowest friction coefficient also shows an increase. However, the wear rate and braking noise of the friction material monotonously decrease with increasing zinc content. This effect may be attributed to the transformation of the tribological mechanism from adhesive wear and abrasive wear to adhesive wear. The brake friction material with 4 wt.%zinc powder exhibits both the best tribological and noise performance. 展开更多

A multi-body dynamic rigid-flexible coupling model of landing gear is established to study the gear walk instability caused by the friction characteristics of the brake disc. After validating the model with the experimental results, the influence of the landing gear structure and braking system parameters on gear walk is further investigated.Among the above factors, the slope of the graph for the friction coefficient of the brake disc and the relative velocity of brake stators and rotors is the most influential factor on gear walk instability.Phase trajectory analysis verifies that gear walk occurs when the coupling of multiple factors causes the system to exhibit an equivalent negative damping trend. To consider a more realistic braking case,a back propagation neural network method is employed to describe the nonlinear behavior of the friction coefficient of the brake disc. With the realistic nonlinear model of the friction coefficient, the maximum error in predicting the braking torque is less than 10%and the effect of the brake disc temperature on gear walk is performed. The results reveal that a more negative friction slope may contribute to a more severe unstable gear walk, and reducing the braking pressure is an effective approach to avoid gear walk, which provides help for future braking system design. 展开更多
