Aero engine seal coatings can effectively improve the air tightness of aircraft engines and increase fuel efficiency.However,due to the frictional forces between the blades and the coating,the coating often flakes off...Aero engine seal coatings can effectively improve the air tightness of aircraft engines and increase fuel efficiency.However,due to the frictional forces between the blades and the coating,the coating often flakes off,resulting in damage to the blades and causing eco-nomic losses.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the friction between the blades and the coating.In this paper,three ceramic-based high-temperature seal coatings with different polyphenylene ester contents and a pure Yttria-stabilised zirconia coating were prepared by atmo-spheric plasma spraying(APS).The hardness and modulus of elasticity of the coated surfaces were obtained by hardness and modulus of elasticity tests,and the coatings were subjected to high-speed touch abrasion tests.The Hertzian contact model was used to calculate the maximum normal contact load on the coating during the process.The test values were compared with the theoretical values and it was found that the calculated values were always greater than the test values.In order to make the Hertzian contact model more accurate in calculating the touching and abrasion forces,the contact coefficients in the Hertzian contact model were optimized.Substituting the optimized coeffi-cients into the Hertzian contact model,the results show that the calculated results after optimizing the coefficients are much closer to the test values,with deviations from the test values ranging from 1%to 38%.展开更多
The impact and penetration of a projectile in a particle-laden space, which are expected to have frequently occurred during the formation of the solar system and will occur in the case of an impact probe for future pl...The impact and penetration of a projectile in a particle-laden space, which are expected to have frequently occurred during the formation of the solar system and will occur in the case of an impact probe for future planetary exploration, were experimentally simulated by using the ballistic range. A two-dimensional sheet made from small glass beads or emery powder was formed by the free-falling device through a long slit in the test chamber evacuated down to about 35 Pa. A polycarbonate projectile of a hemi-sphere-cylinder or sphere shape with the mass and diameter about 4 g and 25 mm, respectively, was launched at the velocity up to 430 m/s, and the phenomena were observed by the high-speed camera at 20,000 fps. From a series of images, the bow-shock-wave-like laterally facing U-shaped pattern over the projectile and the absence of particles in the trail behind it were clearly seen. At the impact of the particles on the projectile surface, fine grains were formed due to the destructive collision and injected outward from the projectile. The images obtained by different lighting methods including the laser light sheet were compared. The effects of the particle diameter, its material and the impact velocity were also investigated.展开更多

To simulate the front collision test of the car, the LS-DYNA software is adopted to calculate the deformation of the car and the acceleration time history curves during the crashing process;the anti-impact capability of the car is evaluated from this simulation. Herein, we examine the explosion wave field and rock breaking effect in terms of shockwave collision, stress change of the blast hole wall in the collision zone, and crack propagation in the collision zone. The produced shockwave on the collision surface has an intensity surpassing the sum of the intensities of the two colliding explosion shock waves. At the collisionlocation, the kinetic energy is transformed into potential energy with a reduction in particle velocity at the wave front and the wavefront pressure increases. The expansion form of the superposed shock wave is dumbbell-shaped, the shock wave velocity in the collisionarea is greater than the radial shock wave velocity, and the average propagation angle of the explosion shock waves is approximately 60°.Accordingly, a fitted relationship between blast hole wall stress and explosion wave propagation angle in the superposition area is plotted.Under the experimental conditions, the superimposed explosion wave stress of the blast hole wall is approximately 1.73 times the singleexplosionwave incident stress. The results of the model test and numerical simulations reveal that large-scale radial fracture cracks weregenerated on the blast hole wall in the superimposed area, and the width of the crack increased. The width of the large-scale radial fracturecracks formed by a strong impact is approximately 5% of the blast hole length. According to the characteristics of blast hole wallcompression, the mean peak pressures of the strongly superimposed area are approximately 1.48 and 1.84 times those of the weakly superimposedand nonsuperimposed areas, respectively.展开更多
