It has long gauge length to allow digital image correlation monitoring and anti buckling guides to prevent buckling. It allows the optical recording of strains and displacements. The novel setup is used to study the compressive response of tufted and untufted Carbon non crimp fabric composites with full field measurements. Experimental results show that the specimens are not bending in the apparatus under compression. Results also show reduced strain concentrations and a large strain field that provides a good environment for material compressive stiffness characterization. The test proves particularly successful for bias direction layup of [+45/-45] for which large damage mechanism occurs. However for [0/90] specimens a scatter in compressive ultimate strength was noticed which is due to the difficulty to prepare specimens with best minute accurate geometry. The compressive apparatus has shown to be a good alternative to existing setups and to provide significantly more information as well as having the possibility to be used in dynamics with a drop tower.展开更多

We report the results of PSQA conducted at the QST Hospital during the period from September 2017 to March 2018. Methods: We analyzed PSQA results for 1448 fields for 10 disease sites with various target volumes, target depths and number of energy layers. For the PSQA, all the planned beams were recalculated on a water phantom with treatment planning software. The recalculated dose distributions were compared with the measured distributions using a 2D ionization chamber array at three depths, including 95% of the area of the prescription dose. These recalculated dose distributions were evaluated using the 3%/3mm gamma index with a passing threshold of 90%. Results: The passing rates for prostate, head and neck, and bone and soft tissue were 96.8%, 99.3%, and 91.7%, respectively. Additionally, 94.7% of lung plans with low energy beams passed. Overall, the CIRT in the QST Hospital reached a high passing rate of more than 95%. Although the remaining 5% failed to pass, there was no dependence between measurement depth and disease sites in these failures. Conclusion: Using PSQA measurements, we confirmed consistency between the planned and delivered doses for CIRT using the full energy scanning method.展开更多

The ionic conductivities of such solid-electrolytes reach values as high as 10-4 S. cm-1 at room temperature. At proper content of each component in the solid-electrolyte the polymeric film has a porous network microstructure of three dimen-sions,and exhibits a good level of mechanical properties and dimensional stability. The full-solid-state elec-trochemical cell contains two coplanar electrodes coated by a thin layer of PAN-DMSO-TBAP solid-elec-trolyte: a Au microdisk as working electrode and a Ag ring counter/reference electrode. This study has shown that the integrated two-electrode assembly can be directly used for the amperometric solid-state car-bon dioxide gas sensor devices, and it shows good response characteristics for direct amperometric determi-nation of the CO2 concentration in the gas phase. Also, such full-solid-state amperometric sensor devices possess their own original advantages.展开更多
