Microstructures determine mechanical properties of steels,but in actual steel product process it is difficult to accurately control the microstructure to meet the requirements.General microstructure characterization m...Microstructures determine mechanical properties of steels,but in actual steel product process it is difficult to accurately control the microstructure to meet the requirements.General microstructure characterization methods are time consuming and results are not rep-resentative for overall quality level as only a fraction of steel sample was selected to be examined.In this paper,a macro and micro coupled 3D model was developed for nondestructively characterization of steel microstructures.For electromagnetic signals analysis,the relative permeability value computed by the micro cellular model can be used in the macro electromagnetic sensor model.The effects of different microstructure components on the relative permeability of duplex stainless steel(grain size,phase fraction,and phase distribu-tion)were discussed.The output inductance of an electromagnetic sensor was determined by relative permeability values and can be val-idated experimentally.The findings indicate that the inductance value of an electromagnetic sensor at low frequency can distinguish dif-ferent microstructures.This method can be applied to real-time on-line characterize steel microstructures in process of steel rolling.展开更多
Duplex stainless steels(DSSs)show better corrosion resistance with higher strength than traditional austenite stainless steels in many aggressive environments,and can be welded properly with almost every welding proce...Duplex stainless steels(DSSs)show better corrosion resistance with higher strength than traditional austenite stainless steels in many aggressive environments,and can be welded properly with almost every welding processes,if proper heat input is provided.Progresses of research works on weldability of DSSs in recent years are reviewed in this paper.Balance control of ferrite/austenite phases is most important for DSSs welding.The phases balance can be controlled with filler materials,nitrogen addition in shielding gas,heat input,post weld heat treatment,and alternating magnetic field.Too high cooling rate results in not only extra ferrite,but also chromium nitride precipitation.While too low cooling rate or heating repeatedly results in precipitation of secondary austenite and intermetallic compounds.In both situations,mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the DSS joints deteriorate.Recommended upper and lower limits of heat input and maximum interpass temperature should be observed.展开更多

Microhardness and wear behaviour of the coatings before and after laser crystallization were evaluated by measurements of hardnesses of coating surface and cross-section, and by unlubricated friction and wear experiments. The results indicate that it is possible to prepare electroless Ni-P/Ni-W-P duplex coatings by sequential immersion in two different plating baths. After laser crystallization, the microstructures of electroless Ni-P/Ni-W-P duplex coatings present the characteristics of higher degree of crystallization and larger grain size for outer layer Ni-W-P than inner Ni-P, but outer layer has a higher hardness. The wear resistance of laser-treated duplex coatings in a given process parameter conditions is superior to the as-plated ones. Laser treatment was performed directly in air without argon protection, which provides the possibility for application of industrialized production.展开更多

A full-duplex base station using artificial noise is adopted to improve both the uplink and downlink secrecy rate via pairing terminals which reverses the downlink and uplink of each other. We give the designs of artificial noise and the user's desired signal, and derive the pairing prin-ciple between terminals. Moreover, the influence of self-interference cancellation on secrecy rate is ex-plored. Simulation results show that the secrecy rate can get much better performance by adopting full-duplex artificial noise scheme and proposed pair-ing method. The downlink secrecy rate decreases with the distance between terminals. Besides the uplink secrecy rate is sensitive to the ability of self-interference cancellation.展开更多

However, for the applications of CCFD in a cellular network, sev...Co-frequency and co-time full duplex(CCFD) is a promising technique for improving spectral efficiency in next generation wireless communication systems. However, for the applications of CCFD in a cellular network, severe co-channel interference is an essential problem. Specifically, there are two significant interferences, i.e., inter-terminal interference(ITI) and inter-cell interference(ICI), which lead to an obvious performance degradation. In this paper, two techniques are proposed for suppressing the ITI and ICI in a CCFD cellular system, respectively. The first technique is obtained by modeling the three-node CCFD system as the Z-channel. After deriving the sum-capacity of the Z-channel, a sum-capacity-achieving scheme based on successive interference cancellation(SIC) is proposed. The second technique is designed by combining the fractional frequency reuse scheme with CCFD. The performance gains of the proposed two techniques in terms of signalto-interference plus noise ratio(SINR) and sumcapacity are analyzed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve significant interference suppression performance and higher system capacity, especially for cell edge users.展开更多

Next, by semidefinite relaxation(SDR) and randomization method, the SDRbased scheme is proposed. In order to reduce the complexity, the closed-form scheme is presented with some simplified measures. Robust beamforming is then studied considering the practical condition. Objective:To identify members of genera of rickettsia and O.tsutsugammhi simultaneously.Methods:Rapid and duplex and nested PCR methods have been established by designing primers based on the conserved regions of heat...Objective:To identify members of genera of rickettsia and O.tsutsugammhi simultaneously.Methods:Rapid and duplex and nested PCR methods have been established by designing primers based on the conserved regions of heat shock protein GroEL gene.345 mouse viscera samples including liver,spleen and kidney,96 Xenopsylla cheopis and 32 chiggers collected from Hongta areas of Yuxi city,Yunnan province were tested by the new PCR methods.Results:The result of the study showed that the new PCR methods could identify most members of genera -Rickettsia and Orientia simultaneously with 100%specificity and its sensitivity could test one copy per microliter.The results of detection prevalence of rickettsioses in mouse,flea and mites DNA samples showed that the total rickettsia infection rate in mouse was 34.78%(120/345).The total infection rates in R.typhi,O.t Karp and R.sibirica of mouse samples were 28.12%(97/345),19.71%(68/345) and O. 29%(1/345) respectively.Co-infection rates in R.typhi and 0.t Karp of mouse samples were 13.33%(46/ 345).O.t Karp type has been the main epidemic strain in these areas.Conclusion:We concluded that this PCR method could be used to detect multi-genera rickettsia simultaneously.Molecular evidences provided in this and previous studies strongly support that Hongta areas of Yuxi city are a natural focus for typhus and scrub typhus with the common occurrence of their confection.展开更多

Firstly,the least square(LS) estimation is implemented to obtain composite channel coefficients of source-relay-destination(SRD) channel and relay loop-interference(LI) channel in order to assist destination in performing data detection. Secondly,both LS and maximum likelihood estimation methods are utilized to perform individual channel estimation aiming at supporting successive interference cancelation at destination. Finally,simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of both composite and individual channel estimation,and the presented ML method can achieve lower MSEs than LS solution.展开更多

The experinental results show that temperature and chloride concentration have a great influence on the pitting resistance of 2205 duplex stainless steels. They not only effect the corrosion rate of pitting, but also change the shape of the pits. When NaCl solution was in low concentration and temperature below the critical pitting temperature, pits were very small and scattered with hemisphere-like shape. On the contrary, the pits of 2205 duplex stainless steel were large and sometimes had a lacy cover when the NaCl concentration was higher and the temperature was 70℃.展开更多

The individual behavior of ferrite and austenit...The hot deformation characteristics of 1.4462 duplex stainless steel (DSS) were analyzed by considering strain partitioning between austenite and ferrite constituents. The individual behavior of ferrite and austenite in microstructure was studied in an iso-stress condition. Hot compression tests were performed at temperatures of 800-1100~C and strain rates of 0.001-1 s-1. The flow stress was modeled by a hyperbolic sine constitutive equation, the corresponding constants and apparent activation energies were determined for the studied alloys. The constitutive equation and law of mixture were used to measure the contribution factor of each phase at any given strain. It is found that the contribution factor of ferrite exponentially declines as the Zener-HoUomon parameter (Z) increases. On the contrary, the austenite contribution polynomially increases with the increase of Z. At low Z values below 2.6. x 1015 (lnZ---35.5), a negative contribution factor is determined for austenite that is attributed to dynamic recrystallization. At high Z values, the contribution factor of austenite is about two orders of magnitude greater than that of ferrite, and therefore, austenite can accommodate more strain. Microstructural characterization via electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) confirms the mechanical results and shows that austenite recrystallization is possible only at high temperature and low strain rate.展开更多

Due to the full.duplex transmissions, the self.interference from the relay trans...In this paper, we consider a full.duplex multiple.input multiple.output(MIMO) relaying network with the decode.and.forward(DF) protocol. Due to the full.duplex transmissions, the self.interference from the relay transmitter to the relay receiver degrades the system performance. We thus propose an iterative beamforming structure(IBS) to mitigate the self.interference. In this method, the receive beamforming at the relay is optimized to maximize the signal.to.interference.plus.noise.ratio(Max.SINR), while the transmit beamforming at the relay is optimized to maximize the signal.to.leakage.plusnoise.ratio(Max.SLNR). To further improve the performance, the receive and transmit beamforming matrices are optimized between Max.SINR and Max.SLNR in an iterative manner. Furthermore, in the presence of the residual self.interference, a low.complexity whitening.filter(WF) maximum likelihood(ML) detector is proposed. In this detector, a WF is designed to transform a colored interference.plus.noise to a white noise, while the singular value decomposition is used to convert coupled spatial subchannels to parallelindependent ones. From simulations, we find that the proposed IBS performs much better than the existing schemes. Also, the proposed low.complexity detector significantly reduces the complexity of the conventional ML(CML) detector from exponential time(an exponential function of the number of the source transmit antennas) to polynomial one while achieving a slightly better BER performance than the CML due to interference whitening.展开更多

The relay estimates the received signal fro...An estimate-and-forward(EF) scheme for single-input single-output(SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) full-duplex two-way relay networks is proposed and analyzed. The relay estimates the received signal from two terminal nodes by a minimum mean squared error(MMSE) estimation and forwards a scaled version of the MMSE estimate to the destination. The proposed EF outperforms conventional amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF) across all signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) region. Because its computational complexity is high for relays with a large number of antennas(large MIMO) and/or high order constellations, an approximate EF scheme, called list EF, are thus proposed to reduce the computational complexity. The proposed list EF computes a candidate list for the MMSE estimate by using a sphere decoder, and it approaches the performance of the exact EF relay at a negligible performance loss. The proposed forwarding approach also could be used to other relay networks, such as half-duplex, one-way or massive MIMO relay networks.展开更多
Objective:To design a duplex PCR for rapid and simultaneous detection of Brucella species, in human blood samples.Methods:Fifty-two peripheral bloods samples were collected from suspicious patients with brucellosis.Fo...Objective:To design a duplex PCR for rapid and simultaneous detection of Brucella species, in human blood samples.Methods:Fifty-two peripheral bloods samples were collected from suspicious patients with brucellosis.Following DNA extraction,PCR assay were performed, using three primers that could simultaneously identify and differentiate three major species of pathogenic Brucella in humans and animals.Results:Of the 52 peripheral bloods samples tested, 25 sample(48%) showed positive reactions in PCR.Twelve samples were positive for Brucella abortus(B.abortus)(23%,13 for Brucella melUensis(B.melUensis)(25%) and 0 for Brucella ovis (6.ovis)(Ow.Conclusions:This work de=monstrates dial in case where specific primers were utilized,duplex PCR has proved to be a simple,fast,and relatively inexpensive method for simultaneous detection of important species of Brucella in clinical samples.展开更多

It was found that during hot deformation there is only dynamic recovery taking place within the δ-ferrite phase, but the γ-austenite phase undergoes dynamic recrystallization. The activation energy of the steel for hot compression is estimated to be 480 kJ/mol.展开更多
The activated TIG(ATIG) welding process mainly focuses on increasing the depth of penetration and the reduction in the width of weld bead has not been paid much attention.The shape of a weld in terms of its width-to-d...The activated TIG(ATIG) welding process mainly focuses on increasing the depth of penetration and the reduction in the width of weld bead has not been paid much attention.The shape of a weld in terms of its width-to-depth ratio known as aspect ratio has a marked influence on its solidification cracking tendency.The major influencing ATIG welding parameters,such as electrode gap,travel speed,current and voltage,that aid in controlling the aspect ratio of DSS joints,must be optimized to obtain desirable aspect ratio for DSS joints.Hence in this study,the above parameters of ATIG welding for aspect ratio of ASTM/UNS S32205 DSS welds are optimized by using Taguchi orthogonal array(OA)experimental design and other statistical tools such as Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) and Pooled ANOVA techniques.The optimum process parameters are found to be 1 mm electrode gap,130 mm/min travel speed,140 A current and 12 V voltage.The aspect ratio and the ferrite content for the DSS joints fabricated using the optimized ATIG parameters are found to be well within the acceptable range and there is no macroscopically evident solidification cracking.展开更多
There are abundant natural gas resources in western China, but many oil and gas fields are rich in chloridion, sulfureted hydrogen, carbon dioxide and other corrosive medium, which have strong corrosivity to pipeline....There are abundant natural gas resources in western China, but many oil and gas fields are rich in chloridion, sulfureted hydrogen, carbon dioxide and other corrosive medium, which have strong corrosivity to pipeline. One gas field possesses abundant natural gas with great pressure, and the chloridion concentration in the water separated from gas is about 10% , so the medium has great corrosivity. In order to ensure the safety of the pipeline, about 13 km length pipeline and the internal pipes of a gas treatment plant that purifies gas about 12 billion cubic meter a year are made of 2205 duplex stainless steel (2205 DSS ) . 2205 DSS has many characteristics in welding with complex welding process; and because of high quality requirements for the construction of natural gas pipeline and restriction of on-site conditions, the site welding is very difficult. Around the engineering application, a large number of experimental researches have been carried out on the material microstructure, properties and weldability. Finally welded joints which conform to the requirements of standard are obtained, contributing to the first large-scale application of this material in the field of oil and gas pipelines. Considering the engineering application and the latest research development, the welding and key factors affecting the joint properties of 2205 DSS pipes are summarized and analyzed.展开更多
BACKGROUND Duplication of the appendix is an infrequent congenital malformation with a complex classification.The horseshoe appendix is a subtype of the duplex appendix and is rarely reported in the literature.Endomet...BACKGROUND Duplication of the appendix is an infrequent congenital malformation with a complex classification.The horseshoe appendix is a subtype of the duplex appendix and is rarely reported in the literature.Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease that rarely occurs in the appendix.Moreover,horseshoe appendix combined with endometriosis has not been previously reported.CASE SUMMARY Here,we describe a 44-year-old woman who was admitted with a 1-d history of migratory lower right quadrant pain.Physical examination was consistent with the signs of acute appendicitis.The patient underwent an emergency exploratory laparotomy.The distal tip of the appendix was in contact with the cecum by another base,or“horseshoe appendix”.In addition,a small intestinal mass and an ovarian mass were identified.Subsequently,appendectomy,partial resection of the small intestine,and right oophorectomy were successively performed.The histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of acute inflammation of the duplex appendix with endometriosis,small intestine endometriosis,and ovarian endometriosis.CONCLUSION Surgeons need to be aware of the possibility of the duplex appendix when performing an appendectomy,and this study emphasizes the importance of exploring the entire abdomen.展开更多

文摘Objective:To identify members of genera of rickettsia and O.tsutsugammhi simultaneously.Methods:Rapid and duplex and nested PCR methods have been established by designing primers based on the conserved regions of heat shock protein GroEL gene.345 mouse viscera samples including liver,spleen and kidney,96 Xenopsylla cheopis and 32 chiggers collected from Hongta areas of Yuxi city,Yunnan province were tested by the new PCR methods.Results:The result of the study showed that the new PCR methods could identify most members of genera -Rickettsia and Orientia simultaneously with 100%specificity and its sensitivity could test one copy per microliter.The results of detection prevalence of rickettsioses in mouse,flea and mites DNA samples showed that the total rickettsia infection rate in mouse was 34.78%(120/345).The total infection rates in R.typhi,O.t Karp and R.sibirica of mouse samples were 28.12%(97/345),19.71%(68/345) and O. 29%(1/345) respectively.Co-infection rates in R.typhi and 0.t Karp of mouse samples were 13.33%(46/ 345).O.t Karp type has been the main epidemic strain in these areas.Conclusion:We concluded that this PCR method could be used to detect multi-genera rickettsia simultaneously.Molecular evidences provided in this and previous studies strongly support that Hongta areas of Yuxi city are a natural focus for typhus and scrub typhus with the common occurrence of their confection.

文摘Relay in full-duplex(FD) mode can achieve higher spectrum efficiency than that in half-duplex mode,while it is crucial to suppress relay self-interference to ensure transmission quality which requires instantaneous channel state information(CSI). In this paper,the channel estimation issue in FD amplify-andforward relay networks is considered,where the training-based estimation technique is adopted. Firstly,the least square(LS) estimation is implemented to obtain composite channel coefficients of source-relay-destination(SRD) channel and relay loop-interference(LI) channel in order to assist destination in performing data detection. Secondly,both LS and maximum likelihood estimation methods are utilized to perform individual channel estimation aiming at supporting successive interference cancelation at destination. Finally,simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of both composite and individual channel estimation,and the presented ML method can achieve lower MSEs than LS solution.

文摘The electrochemical behaviors of 2205 duplex stainless steel in NaCl solution with different temperatures and concentrations were studied by gravimetric tests, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The experinental results show that temperature and chloride concentration have a great influence on the pitting resistance of 2205 duplex stainless steels. They not only effect the corrosion rate of pitting, but also change the shape of the pits. When NaCl solution was in low concentration and temperature below the critical pitting temperature, pits were very small and scattered with hemisphere-like shape. On the contrary, the pits of 2205 duplex stainless steel were large and sometimes had a lacy cover when the NaCl concentration was higher and the temperature was 70℃.
文摘The hot deformation characteristics of 1.4462 duplex stainless steel (DSS) were analyzed by considering strain partitioning between austenite and ferrite constituents. The individual behavior of ferrite and austenite in microstructure was studied in an iso-stress condition. Hot compression tests were performed at temperatures of 800-1100~C and strain rates of 0.001-1 s-1. The flow stress was modeled by a hyperbolic sine constitutive equation, the corresponding constants and apparent activation energies were determined for the studied alloys. The constitutive equation and law of mixture were used to measure the contribution factor of each phase at any given strain. It is found that the contribution factor of ferrite exponentially declines as the Zener-HoUomon parameter (Z) increases. On the contrary, the austenite contribution polynomially increases with the increase of Z. At low Z values below 2.6. x 1015 (lnZ---35.5), a negative contribution factor is determined for austenite that is attributed to dynamic recrystallization. At high Z values, the contribution factor of austenite is about two orders of magnitude greater than that of ferrite, and therefore, austenite can accommodate more strain. Microstructural characterization via electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) confirms the mechanical results and shows that austenite recrystallization is possible only at high temperature and low strain rate.

文摘In this paper, we consider a full.duplex multiple.input multiple.output(MIMO) relaying network with the decode.and.forward(DF) protocol. Due to the full.duplex transmissions, the self.interference from the relay transmitter to the relay receiver degrades the system performance. We thus propose an iterative beamforming structure(IBS) to mitigate the self.interference. In this method, the receive beamforming at the relay is optimized to maximize the signal.to.interference.plus.noise.ratio(Max.SINR), while the transmit beamforming at the relay is optimized to maximize the signal.to.leakage.plusnoise.ratio(Max.SLNR). To further improve the performance, the receive and transmit beamforming matrices are optimized between Max.SINR and Max.SLNR in an iterative manner. Furthermore, in the presence of the residual self.interference, a low.complexity whitening.filter(WF) maximum likelihood(ML) detector is proposed. In this detector, a WF is designed to transform a colored interference.plus.noise to a white noise, while the singular value decomposition is used to convert coupled spatial subchannels to parallelindependent ones. From simulations, we find that the proposed IBS performs much better than the existing schemes. Also, the proposed low.complexity detector significantly reduces the complexity of the conventional ML(CML) detector from exponential time(an exponential function of the number of the source transmit antennas) to polynomial one while achieving a slightly better BER performance than the CML due to interference whitening.

文摘An estimate-and-forward(EF) scheme for single-input single-output(SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) full-duplex two-way relay networks is proposed and analyzed. The relay estimates the received signal from two terminal nodes by a minimum mean squared error(MMSE) estimation and forwards a scaled version of the MMSE estimate to the destination. The proposed EF outperforms conventional amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF) across all signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) region. Because its computational complexity is high for relays with a large number of antennas(large MIMO) and/or high order constellations, an approximate EF scheme, called list EF, are thus proposed to reduce the computational complexity. The proposed list EF computes a candidate list for the MMSE estimate by using a sphere decoder, and it approaches the performance of the exact EF relay at a negligible performance loss. The proposed forwarding approach also could be used to other relay networks, such as half-duplex, one-way or massive MIMO relay networks.

文摘Objective:To design a duplex PCR for rapid and simultaneous detection of Brucella species, in human blood samples.Methods:Fifty-two peripheral bloods samples were collected from suspicious patients with brucellosis.Following DNA extraction,PCR assay were performed, using three primers that could simultaneously identify and differentiate three major species of pathogenic Brucella in humans and animals.Results:Of the 52 peripheral bloods samples tested, 25 sample(48%) showed positive reactions in PCR.Twelve samples were positive for Brucella abortus(B.abortus)(23%,13 for Brucella melUensis(B.melUensis)(25%) and 0 for Brucella ovis (6.ovis)(Ow.Conclusions:This work de=monstrates dial in case where specific primers were utilized,duplex PCR has proved to be a simple,fast,and relatively inexpensive method for simultaneous detection of important species of Brucella in clinical samples.
文摘The hot deformation behavior of an as-cast OCrl7Mnl4Mo2N duplex stainless steel has been studied by hot compression test at the temperature range from 1000℃ to 1200℃, and the strain rates are 0.1 s-1, 1 s-1 and 5 s-1, respectively. It was found that during hot deformation there is only dynamic recovery taking place within the δ-ferrite phase, but the γ-austenite phase undergoes dynamic recrystallization. The activation energy of the steel for hot compression is estimated to be 480 kJ/mol.
文摘The activated TIG(ATIG) welding process mainly focuses on increasing the depth of penetration and the reduction in the width of weld bead has not been paid much attention.The shape of a weld in terms of its width-to-depth ratio known as aspect ratio has a marked influence on its solidification cracking tendency.The major influencing ATIG welding parameters,such as electrode gap,travel speed,current and voltage,that aid in controlling the aspect ratio of DSS joints,must be optimized to obtain desirable aspect ratio for DSS joints.Hence in this study,the above parameters of ATIG welding for aspect ratio of ASTM/UNS S32205 DSS welds are optimized by using Taguchi orthogonal array(OA)experimental design and other statistical tools such as Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) and Pooled ANOVA techniques.The optimum process parameters are found to be 1 mm electrode gap,130 mm/min travel speed,140 A current and 12 V voltage.The aspect ratio and the ferrite content for the DSS joints fabricated using the optimized ATIG parameters are found to be well within the acceptable range and there is no macroscopically evident solidification cracking.

文摘There are abundant natural gas resources in western China, but many oil and gas fields are rich in chloridion, sulfureted hydrogen, carbon dioxide and other corrosive medium, which have strong corrosivity to pipeline. One gas field possesses abundant natural gas with great pressure, and the chloridion concentration in the water separated from gas is about 10% , so the medium has great corrosivity. In order to ensure the safety of the pipeline, about 13 km length pipeline and the internal pipes of a gas treatment plant that purifies gas about 12 billion cubic meter a year are made of 2205 duplex stainless steel (2205 DSS ) . 2205 DSS has many characteristics in welding with complex welding process; and because of high quality requirements for the construction of natural gas pipeline and restriction of on-site conditions, the site welding is very difficult. Around the engineering application, a large number of experimental researches have been carried out on the material microstructure, properties and weldability. Finally welded joints which conform to the requirements of standard are obtained, contributing to the first large-scale application of this material in the field of oil and gas pipelines. Considering the engineering application and the latest research development, the welding and key factors affecting the joint properties of 2205 DSS pipes are summarized and analyzed.

文摘BACKGROUND Duplication of the appendix is an infrequent congenital malformation with a complex classification.The horseshoe appendix is a subtype of the duplex appendix and is rarely reported in the literature.Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease that rarely occurs in the appendix.Moreover,horseshoe appendix combined with endometriosis has not been previously reported.CASE SUMMARY Here,we describe a 44-year-old woman who was admitted with a 1-d history of migratory lower right quadrant pain.Physical examination was consistent with the signs of acute appendicitis.The patient underwent an emergency exploratory laparotomy.The distal tip of the appendix was in contact with the cecum by another base,or“horseshoe appendix”.In addition,a small intestinal mass and an ovarian mass were identified.Subsequently,appendectomy,partial resection of the small intestine,and right oophorectomy were successively performed.The histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of acute inflammation of the duplex appendix with endometriosis,small intestine endometriosis,and ovarian endometriosis.CONCLUSION Surgeons need to be aware of the possibility of the duplex appendix when performing an appendectomy,and this study emphasizes the importance of exploring the entire abdomen.
