It is observed directly in experiment that most of the photo-excited carriers in quantum wells with a p-n junction escape from quantum wells and form photoeurrent rather than relax to the ground state of the quantum wells. The photo absorption coei^cient of multiple quantum wells is also enhanced by a p-n junction. The results pave a novel way for solar cells and photodetectors making use of low-dimensional structure.展开更多

The observations of directional spectrum of sea waves were successfully conducted at platform Bohai 8 during 1991 and 1992 using a wave gage array for the first time in China. Based on the field data, the directional spectrum which depends on the wave growth is given in this paper. Before observations, the effects of the type of gage array, the distance between the gages and the platform itself on the measured results and the precision of some methods for estimating the directional spectrum were investigated and compared with the methods of numerical simulations and model tests of multi-direcitonal irregular waves. This ensures the quality of the observations and estimations of the directional spectrum.展开更多
In-situ observation of porosity formation during directional solidification of two Al-Si alloys (7%Si and 13%Si) was made by using of micro-focus X-ray imaging.In both alloys,small spherical pores initially form in th...In-situ observation of porosity formation during directional solidification of two Al-Si alloys (7%Si and 13%Si) was made by using of micro-focus X-ray imaging.In both alloys,small spherical pores initially form in the melt far away from the eutectic solid-liquid (S/L) interface and then grow and coagulate during solidification.Some pores can float and escape from the solidifying melt front at a relatively high velocity.At the end of solidification,the remaining pores maintain spherical morphology in the near eutectic alloy but become irregular in the hypoeutectic alloy.This is attributed to different solidification modes and aluminum dendrite interactions between the two alloys.The mechanism of the porosity formation is briefly discussed in this paper.展开更多
The extremely high structural tolerance of ceria to oxygen vacancies(Ov)has made it a desirable catalytic material for the hydrocarbon oxidation to chemicals and pharmaceuticals and the reduction of gaseous pollutants...The extremely high structural tolerance of ceria to oxygen vacancies(Ov)has made it a desirable catalytic material for the hydrocarbon oxidation to chemicals and pharmaceuticals and the reduction of gaseous pollutants.It is proposed that the formation and diffusion of Ov originate from its outstanding reduction property.However,the formation and diffusion process of Ov over the surface of ceria at the atomic level is still unknown.Herein,the structural and valence evolution of CeO_(2)(111)surfaces in reductive,oxidative and vacuum environments from room temperature up to 700℃was studied with in situ aberration-corrected environmental transmission electron microscopy(ETEM)experiments.Ov is found to form under a high vacuum at elevated temperatures;however,the surface can recover to the initial state through the adsorption of oxygen atoms in an oxygen-contained environment.Furthermore,in hydrogen environment,the step-CeO_(2)(111)surface is not stable at elevated temperatures;thus,the steps tend to be eliminated with increasing temperature.Combined with first-principles density function calculations(DFT),it is proposed that O-terminated surfaces would develop in a hypoxic environment due to the dynamic diffusion of Ov from the outer surface to the subsurface.Furthermore,in a reductive environment,H2 facilitates the formation and diffusion of Ov while Ce-terminated surfaces develope.These results reveal dynamic atomic-scale interplay between the nanoceria surface and gas,thereby providing fundamental insights into the Ov-dependent reaction of nano-CeO_(2) during catalytic processes.展开更多

However,the traditional stator flux observer based on voltage model is affected by integral initial values and integral drift,that based on current model is affected by the parameters of PMSM,so a new stator flux observation method is proposed based on an improved secondorder generalized integrator( SOGI). Compared to the stator flux observation method based on the conventional SOGI,the proposed method can not only overcome the influence of integral initial values and integral drift,but also completely eliminate the DC offset's influence. Therefore,the observation accuracy of stator flux is further improved. The aim of this paper is to investigate an adaptive sensorless direct voltage control(DVC)strategy for the stand-alone ship shaft brushless doubly-fed induction generators(BDFIGs).The proposed new rotor position obser...The aim of this paper is to investigate an adaptive sensorless direct voltage control(DVC)strategy for the stand-alone ship shaft brushless doubly-fed induction generators(BDFIGs).The proposed new rotor position observer using the space vector flux relations of BDFIG may achieve the desired voltage control of the power winding(PW)in terms of magnitude and frequency,without any speed/position sensors.The proposed algorithm does not require any additional observers for obtaining the generator speed.The proposed technique can directly achieve the desired DVC based on the estimated rotor position,which may reduce the overall system cost.The stability analysis of the proposed observer is investigated and confirmed with the concept of quadratic Lyapunov function and using the multi-model representation.In addition,the sensitivity analysis of the presented method is confirmed under different issues of parameter uncertainties.Comprehensive results from both simulation and experiments are realized with a prototype wound-rotor BDFIG,which demonstrate the capability and efficacy of the proposed sensorless DVC strategy with good transient behavior under different operating conditions.Furthermore,the analysis confirms the robustness of the proposed observer via the machine parameter changes.展开更多
Combined with the characteristics of the distributed-drive electric vehicle and direct yaw moment control,a double-layer structure direct yaw moment controller is designed.The upper additional yaw moment controller is...Combined with the characteristics of the distributed-drive electric vehicle and direct yaw moment control,a double-layer structure direct yaw moment controller is designed.The upper additional yaw moment controller is constructed based on model predictive control.Aiming at minimizing the utilization rate of tire adhesion and constrained by the working characteristics of motor system and brake system,a quadratic programming active set was designed to optimize the distribution of additional yaw moments.The road surface adhesion coefficient has a great impact on the reliability of direct yaw moment control,for which joint observer of vehicle state parameters and road surface parameters is designed by using unscented Kalman filter algorithm,which correlates vehicle state observer and road surface parameter observer to form closed-loop feedback correction.The results show that compared to the“feedforward+feedback”control,the vehicle’s error of yaw rate and sideslip angle by the model predictive control is smaller,which can improve the vehicle stability effectively.In addition,according to the results of the docking road simulation test,the joint observer of vehicle state and road surface parameters can improve the adaptability of the vehicle stability controller to the road conditions with variable adhesion coefficients.展开更多

We set up two experimental catchments to provide an improved understanding of hydrological processes in a subtropical forested area in the northern part of Okinawa Island, Japan. We calculated runoff using water level...We set up two experimental catchments to provide an improved understanding of hydrological processes in a subtropical forested area in the northern part of Okinawa Island, Japan. We calculated runoff using water level data (recorded by a pressure-type water level gauge installed in a box culvert) and a discharge rating curve (derived from in situ observations). Water balance calculations for 2010 showed that the rainfall, runoff and evapotranspiration losses (= rainfall – runoff) were 3403.6 mm, 2285.7 mm and 1117.4 mm, respectively. This result was in agreement with previous results from other forested experimental catchments in this region. Direct runoff, as a proportion of event total rainfall, can be expressed by the empirical equation (Qdirect = 0.0048, Pevent 1.7971, R2 = 0.9599). When Pevent was 100 mm or less, the ratios of Qdirect to Pevent were less than 15% in general. When Pevent exceeded 100 mm, the ratios were 20% - 30%.展开更多

Infection with P. falciparum results in high parasitemia percentages and it is the most frequent cause of malaria that results in illness and death in Africa. In areas with holoendemic transmission, such as in most of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), adults are exposed to malaria every few days or weeks throughout life and, if surviving, have relatively mild bouts of illness because of acquired immunity.展开更多

目的探讨线上工作坊模式对内科专业住院医师规范化培训(简称住培)指导医师临床操作技能直接观察评估(direct observation of procedural skills,DOPS)师资培训的应用效果。方法选取2022年11月参加广东省内科专业住培普通师资培训班的45...目的探讨线上工作坊模式对内科专业住院医师规范化培训(简称住培)指导医师临床操作技能直接观察评估(direct observation of procedural skills,DOPS)师资培训的应用效果。方法选取2022年11月参加广东省内科专业住培普通师资培训班的45名指导医师为研究对象,采用线上分组讨论与教学视频评价反馈相结合的线上工作坊模式进行DOPS师资培训,采用问卷自评的方式评价指导医师对DOPS的掌握程度,并通过问卷调查了解培训前后指导医师对线上DOPS的培训需求与满意度。结果培训前仅17.8%的指导医师使用过DOPS量表;指导医师在培训后对DOPS的掌握程度明显高于培训前[(3.71±0.69)分比(2.29±0.87)分,P<0.01];且95.6%及以上的指导医师表示能够理解“DOPS评分项目的均质化制定方法”和“形成性反馈技巧”;100.0%的指导医师表示在今后住培教学中愿意尝试使用DOPS。课程的整体满意度评分为(8.40±1.70)分。结论线上工作坊模式对内科专业住培指导医师DOPS师资培训的短期效果满意,可进一步在住培形成性评价师资培训中推广应用。展开更多
