This paper proposes a new adaptive controller to control the vehicle height and to adjust the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body(leveling control) during the vehicle height adjustment procedures by an EAS system. A nonlinear mechanism model of the full?car vehicle height adjustment system is established to reflect the system dynamic behaviors and to derive the system optimal control law. To deal with the nonlinear characters in the vehicle height and leveling adjustment processes, the nonlinear system model is globally linearized through the state feedback method. On this basis, a fuzzy sliding mode controller(FSMC) is designed to improve the control accuracy of the vehicle height adjustment and to reduce the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method more accurately, the full?car EAS system model programmed using AMESim is also given. Then, the co?simulation study of the FSMC performance can be conducted. Finally, actual vehicle tests are performed with a city bus, and the test results illustrate that the vehicle height adjustment performance is effectively guaranteed by the FSMC, and the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body during the vehicle height adjustment procedures are also reduced significantly. This research proposes an effective control methodology for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an EAS, which provides a favorable control performance for the system.展开更多

Firstly, an integral sliding mode surface containing state feedback item was designed based on robust H∞ control theory. The robust state feedback control was utilized to substitute for the equivalent control of the traditional sliding mode control. Thus the robustness of systems sliding mode motion was improved even the initial states were unknown. Furthermore, when the upper bound of disturbance was unknown, the switching control logic was difficult to design, and the drawbacks of chattering in sliding mode control should also be considered simultaneously. To solve the above-mentioned problems, the fuzzy nonlinear method was applied to approximate the switching control term. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, the parameter adaptive law which could guarantee the system stability was devised. The proposed control strategy could reduce the system chattering effectively. And the control input would not switch sharply, which improved the practicality of the sliding mode controller. Finally, simulation was conducted on system with parameter perturbations and unknown external disturbances. The result shows that the proposed method could enhance the approaching motion performance effectively. The chattering phenomenon is weakened, and the system possesses stronger robustness against parameter perturbations and external disturbances.展开更多

First, the AUVMS is separated into nine subsystems, and the combined effects of dynamic uncertainties, hydrodynamic force, unknown disturbances, and nonlinear coupling terms on each subsystem are lumped into a single total disturbance. Next, a linear extended state observer(LESO) is presented to estimate the total disturbance. Then, a sliding mode active disturbance rejection control(SMADRC) scheme is proposed to enhance the robustness of the control system. The stability of the SMADRC and the estimation errors of the LESO are analyzed. Because it is difficult to simultaneously adjust several parameters for a LESO-based SMADRC scheme, a fuzzy logic control(FLC) scheme is used to formulate the FSMADRC to determine the appropriate parameters adaptively for practical applications. Finally, two AUVMS tasks are illustrated to test the trajectory tracking performance of the closed-loop system and its ability to reject and attenuate the total disturbance. The simulation results show that the proposed FSMADRC scheme achieves better performance and consume less energy than conventional PID and FLC techniques.展开更多

The governing equation of the umbilical cable is based on a finite difference method, the hydrodynamic behaviors of the underwater robot are described by the six-degrees-of-freedom equations of motion for submarine simulations, and a controller based on the fuzzy sliding mode control(FSMC) algorithm is also incorporated. Fluid motion around the main body of moving robot with running control ducted propellers is governed by the Navier–Stokes equations and these nonlinear differential equations are solved numerically via computational fluid dynamics(CFD) technique. The hydrodynamics and control behaviors of the tethered underwater robot under certain designated trajectory and attitude control manipulation are then investigated based on the established hydrodynamics and control model. The results indicate that satisfactory control effect can be achieved and hydrodynamic behavior under the control operation can be observed with the model; much kinematic and dynamic information about tethered underwater robot system can be forecasted, including translational and angular motions of the robot, hydrodynamic loading on the robot, manipulation actions produced by the control propellers, the kinematic and dynamic behaviors of the umbilical cable. Since these hydrodynamic effects are fed into the proposed coupled model, the mutual hydrodynamic influences of different portions of the robot system as well as the hydrological factors of the undersea environment for the robot operation are incorporated in the model.展开更多

This fuzzy sliding mode control(FSMC) is developed for application in the area for controlling the speed and flux loops of asynchronous motors. The proposed control law can solve those problems associated with the conventional control by sliding mode control, such as high current, flux and torque chattering, variable switching frequency and variation of parameters, in which a robust fuzzy logic controller replaces the discontinuous part of the classical sliding mode control law. Simulation results of the proposed FSMC technique on the speed and flux rotor controllers present good dynamic and steady-state performances compared to the classical SMC in terms of reduction of the torque chattering, quick dynamic torque response and robustness to disturbance and variation of parameters.展开更多

文摘This paper presents a nonlinear control approach to variable speed wind turbine(VSWT)with a wind speed estimator. The dynamics of the wind turbine(WT)is derived from single mass model. In this work,a modified Newton Raphson estimator has been considered for exact estimation of effective wind speed. The main objective of this work is to extract maximum energy from the wind at below rated wind speed while reducing drive train oscillation. In order to achieve the above objectives,VSWT should operate close to the optimal power coefficient. The generator torque is considered as the control input to achieve maximum energy capture. From the literature,it is clear that existing linear and nonlinear control techniques suffer from poor tracking of WT dynamics, increased power loss and complex control law.In addition, they are not robust with respect to input disturbances. In order to overcome the above drawbacks, adaptive fuzzy integral sliding mode control(AFISMC)is proposed for VSWT control. The proposed controller is tested with different types of disturbances and compared with other nonlinear controllers such as sliding mode control and integral sliding mode control. The result shows the better performance of AFISMC and its robustness to input disturbances. In this paper, the discontinuity in integral sliding mode controller is smoothed by using hyperbolic tangent function, and the sliding gain is adapted using a fuzzy technique which makes the controller more robust.
文摘This paper presents a fuzzy adaptive sliding mode controller(FASMC)for electrically driven wheeled mobile robot for trajectory tracking task in the presence of uncertainties and disturbances.First,a finite-time kinematic controller is developed to compute the auxiliary velocity vector.Second, the FASMC,based on the nonlinear dynamic model of the robot and its actuators,is used to guarantee the stability and the convergence of the closed-loop system. Moreover,by employing the advantages of the fuzzy logic systems, the developed controller ensures the robustness of the system against dynamic disturbances and uncertainties, the smoothness of the computing voltage against the chattering phenomenon, and the optimal convergence of the velocity and posture errors. The Lyapunov theory is used to analyse the stability of this algorithm. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed method, numerical simulations are done in the Mahlab/Simulink environment.
文摘The control strategy is presented using passive and active hybrid magnetically suspended flywheels(P&A MSFWs),which can help meet the requirements of high precision and high stability for earth-observation satellites.Compared with the conventional flywheel,P&A MSFW has more rotation degrees of freedom(DOFs)since the rotor is suspended by magnetic bearings, and thus requires more efficient controllers.A modified sliding mode control law(SMC)to our novel nonlinear and coupled system is presented, which is interrupted by inertia matrix uncertainties and external disturbances.SMC law via Lyapunov method is improved, and a fuzzy control scheme is used to attenuate the chatting and control attitude accuracy and maintain the robustness of SMC.Simulation results are provided to illustrate the efficiency of our model by using our control law.
文摘This paper presents a new method combining sliding mode control(SMC) and fuzzy logic control(FLC) to enhance the robustness and performance for a class of non-linear control systems. Simulation results of the proposed FSMC technique on the speed and flux rotor controllers present good dynamic and steady-state performances compared to the classical SMC in terms of reduction of the torque chattering, quick dynamic torque response and robustness to disturbance and variation of parameters.
