Due to the special features of great inertia, pure lag and non-linearity provided with wind turbine, coupled with complex and variable working condition, it is difficult to achieve satisfactory control results simply by employing traditional PID, which has the drawbacks such as adjustment inconvenience, poor anti-interference, and large overshoot, and prolonged adjust span. This paper puts forward one type of improved controller combining Fuzzy Control with PID Control. With larger speed deviation, the controller emphasizes Fuzzy Control to speed system response;with less speed deviation, the controller emphasizes PID Control to improve control accuracy. Simulation Test directing at the algorithm is based on the Bladed software, with the positive result of improved dynamic and static performance of wind turbine under large disturbance. 展开更多

To address the frequency fluctuation problem caused by the power dynamic imbalance between the power system and the loadwhen a large number of newenergy sources are connected to the grid,a two-layer fuzzy control strategy is proposed for the participation of the energy storage battery system in FM.Firstly,considering the coordination of FM units responding to automatic power generation control commands,a comprehensive allocation strategy of two signals under automatic power generation control commands is proposed to give full play to the advantages of two FM signals while enabling better coordination of two FM units responding to FM commands;secondly,based on the grid FM demand and battery FM capability,a double-layer fuzzy control strategy is proposed for FM units responding to automatic power generation control commands in a coordinated manner under dual-signal allocation mode to precisely allocate the power output depth of FM units,which can control the fluctuation of frequency deviation within a smaller range at a faster speed while maintaining the battery charge state;finally,the proposed Finally,the proposed control strategy is simulated and verified inMatlab/Simulink.The results show that the proposed control strategy can control the frequency deviation within a smaller range in a shorter time,better stabilize the fluctuation of the battery charge level,and improve the utilization of the FM unit. 展开更多

The Internet of Things has grown rapidly in recent years,and the technologies related to it have been widely used in various fields.The idea of this paper is to build a set of Internet of Things systems in a smart home wireless network environment,with the purpose of providing people with a more comfortable,convenient,and safe life.In the sensing layer of the Internet of Things,we discuss the uses of common sensing technologies on the Internet and combine these with Arduino microprocessors to integrate temperature sensing modules,humidity sensing modules,gas sensing modules,and particulate matter 2.5(PM2.5)sensing modules.In the network layer,we discuss using the Wi-Fi wireless networking function composed of a home router and a wireless Wi-Fi chip Espressif system 8266(ESP8266)to transmit the collected home-sensing data to the ThingSpeak cloud database.Finally,in the application layer part,the system uses a mobile device with fuzzy calculation optimization software.The system is also connected remotely for home environment monitoring,so the home environment can be optimized anytime,anywhere. 展开更多

Determination of AVR System PID Controller Parameters Using Improved Variants of Reptile Search Algorithm and a Novel Objective Function

Two novel improved variants of reptile search algorithm(RSA),RSA with opposition-based learning(ORSA)and hybrid ORSA with pattern search(ORSAPS),are proposed to determine the proportional,integral,and derivative(PID)controller parameters of an automatic voltage regulator(AVR)system using a novel objective function with augmented flexibility.In the proposed algorithms,the opposition-based learning technique improves the global search abilities of the original RSA algorithm,while the hybridization with the pattern search(PS)algorithm improves the local search abilities.Both algorithms are compared with the original RSA algorithm and have shown to be highly effective algorithms for tuning the PID controller parameters of an AVR system by getting superior results.Several analyses such as transient,stability,robustness,disturbance rejection,and trajectory tracking are conducted to test the performance of the proposed algorithms,which have validated the good promise of the proposed methods for controller designs.The performances of the proposed design approaches are also compared with the previously reported PID controller parameter tuning approaches to assess their success.It is shown that both proposed approaches obtain excellent and robust results among all compared ones.That is,with the adjustment of the weight factorα,which is introduced by the proposed objective function,for a system with high bandwitdh(α=1),the proposed ORSAPS-PID system has 2.08%more bandwidth than the proposed ORSA-PID system and 5.1%faster than the fastest algorithm from the literature.On the other hand,for a system where high phase and gain margins are desired(α=10),the proposed ORSA-PID system has 0.53%more phase margin and 2.18%more gain margin than the proposed ORSAPS-PID system and has 0.71%more phase margin and 2.25%more gain margin than the best performing algorithm from the literature. 展开更多

Firstly, the kinematics model of intelligent car obstacle avoidance is established, and an efficient environment information collection system composed of multiple sensors is designed to realize the comprehensive collection of obstacle information. Then, the optimized fuzzy control system is adopted to improve the position control accuracy and obstacle avoidance ability. Through the physical debugging and joint simulation of the intelligent car fuzzy controller in the MATLAB and Simulink environment, the simulation results show that the control method can make the collision-free path planned by the intelligent car from the initial state to the obstacle avoidance smoother, and at the same time, the obstacle avoidance of the intelligent car. The actual running distance is reduced by about 16%, which can ensure the practicability of the obstacle avoidance system, provide a new guarantee for the safe operation of the car, and also provide a new idea for the development of the unmanned car. 展开更多

In order to help the hydraulic servo system of the quadruped robot to adapt to harsh environments, and to obtain high control quality and control precision, an incremental fuzzy adaptive PID controller based on position feedback is designed to solve the related technical problems. It can effectively solve the difficult problems of single rod low friction cylinders, which are mainly caused by asymmetric structures and different friction characteristics in two directions. On the basis of this algorithm, a traditional PID control is used to improve dynamic performance. Furthermore, a new asymmetric fuzzy PID control with α factor is advanced to improve the self-adaptability and robustness of the system. Both the theoretical analyses and experimental results prove that, with this control strategy, the dynamic performance of the system can be greatly improved. The system using this control algorithm has strong robustness and it obtains desired overshoot and repeatability in both transient and steady-state responses. 展开更多

The design of the main circuit of this new power supply is based on PWM buck-boost converter topology. In developing the system a fuzzy PID control method is adopted because of the strong non-linearity and big signal working conditions of the circuit system. The SABER-MATLAB models and fuzzy algorithm were used in developing the fuzzy PID controller. With the development of automatic driving and fuzzy theory, people pay more and more attention to the application of fuzzy logic in engineering technology. The automatic parking module in the automatic driving system has always been the focus of research. Automatic parking modules can greatly assist drivers in parking operations, greatly reduce parking difficulties and make people more convenient and fast parking. In this paper, an automatic parking system based on the fuzzy controller is proposed. The fuzzy controller of automatic parking system is constructed by using fuzzy theory, and the robustness of the whole system is examined by fuzzy logic. Firstly, the vehicle motion rules and trajectory changes are analyzed in detail, and the real parking lot model is simulated. Then, the input and output variables of the whole system are analyzed by fuzzy theory and the membership function is constructed. Based on the experience of human experts, the parking rules are tested and summarized, and a reasonable and practical rule base is established. Finally, MATLAB is used to code, build the visual interface of parking lot and vehicles, and draw the cyclic iterative function to detect the vehicle position and direction angle, so as to act as a sensor. The results show that using a fuzzy controller to construct an automatic parking system can effectively improve the parking level. 展开更多

The robustness analysis is performed employing a 2~3 factorial experimental design for a fractional order proportional integral and derivative controller(FOPID), integer order proportional integral and derivative controller(IOPID)and the Skogestad internal model control controller(SIMC). The factors assumed in experiment are the presence of random noise,external disturbances in the system input and variable load. As output variables, the experimental design employs the system step response and the controller action. Practical implementation of FOPID and IOPID controllers uses the MATLAB stateflow toolbox and a NI data acquisition system. Results of the robustness analysis show that the FOPID controller has a better performance and robust stability against the experiment factors. 展开更多

In the off-line part, by taking the overshoot, rise time, and settling time of system unit step re-sponse as the performance indexes and by using the genetic algorithm, a group of optimal PID parameters K*p , Ti* ,and Tj are obtained, which are used as the initial values for the on-line tuning of PID parameters. In the on-linepart, based on K; , Ti* , and T*d and according to the current system error e and its time derivative, a dedicatedprogram is written, which is used to optimize and adjust the PID parameters on line through a fuzzy inference mech-anism to ensure that the system response has optimal dynamic and steady-state performance. The controller has beenused to control the D. C. motor of the intelligent bionic artificial leg designed by the authors. The fuzzy PID controller was expressed as a sliding mode control. Based on Lyapunov theory, Smith predictor was analyzed in time domain. The parameters of the fuzzy PID controller can be obtained using traditional linear control theory and sliding mode control theory. The simulation experiments were implemented. This work proposes to design a fuzzy proportional-integral derivative (FPID) controller for dual-sensor cardiac pacemaker systems, which can automatically control the heart rate to accurately track a desired preset profile. The combination of fuzzy logic and conventional PID control approaches is adopted for the controller design based on dual-sensors. This controller offers good adaptation of the heart rate to the physiological needs of the patient under different states (rest and walk). Through comparing with the conventional fuzzy control algorithm, FPID provides a more suitable control strategy to determine a pacing rate in order to achieve a closer match between actual heart rate and a desired profile. To assist the heartbeat recovery, the stimuli with adjustable pacing rate is generated by the pacemaker according to the FPID controller, such actual heart rate may track the preset heart rate faithfully. Simulation results confirm that this proposed control design is effective for heartbeat recovery and maintenance. This study will be helpful not only for the analysis and treatment of bradycardias but also for improving the performance of medical devices. 展开更多
