Electric Vehicles (EV) are one of the renewable energy sources that can bring significant impacts to power system during their charging and discharging operations. This article established a model of single machine infinite bus (SMIB) power system considering EV as a case study of load disturbance for power system oscillation. The objective of this research is to enhance stability and overcome the drawbacks of traditional control algorithms such as power system stabilizer (PSS), PID controller and fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The implementation’s effect of FLC parallel with PID controller (Fuzzy-PID) has been shown in this paper. This paper investigates the use of the robust fuzzy control method for actively reducing pressure ripples for EPS systems. Remarkable progress on steering maneuverability is achieved. The EPS dynamics is described with an eight-order nonlinear state-space model and approximated by a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model with time-varying delays and external disturbances. A stabilization approach is then presented for nonlinear time-delay systems through fuzzy state feedback controller in parallel distributed compensation (PDC) structure. Due to fast fading and ambient interference in a wireless channel, conventional fixed-step power control schemes have difficulty in compensating for the fast fading channel dynamically and in a timely manner. To acquire flexible power regulation in order to maintain required transmission capacity under the given transmission quality requirement, we propose a hybrid power control scheme which makes full use of the simple fuzzy inference rule refined by an operator in the fuzzy control and prediction property from related previous results in Generalized Prediction Control (GPC). In implementation of this strategy, we classify the fading zone into three levels according to the signal-to-noise-rate (SNR) requirement. In each level the power compensation amount varies with fading gradient and the compensation scheme varies as well. The digital results show that adoption of the fuzzy-GPC power regulation scheme has acquired a reasonable performance improvement when compared with fixed-step and fuzzy schemes. According to theoretic analysis and simulation results, we can conclude that under a variational transmission environment, a flexible power regulation scheme such as fuzzy-GPC is easy to adapt to the environment and thus overcomes the near-far effect and multi-access interference effectively.展开更多

To get the precise performances of torque as well as rotor speed and flux, the above mentioned losses should be considered. Conventional PI controller has overshoot effect at the transient period of the speed response curve. On the other hand, fuzzy logic and ANN (artificial neural network) based controllers can minimize the overshoot effect at the transient period because they have the abilities to deal with the nonlinear systems. In this paper, a comparative analysis is done between PI, fuzzy logic and ANN based speed controllers to find the suitable control strategy for IM with consideration of CL and SLL. The simulation analysis is done by using Matlab/Simulink software. The simulation results show that the fuzzy logic based speed controller gives better responses than ANN and conventional PI based speed controllers in terms of rotor speed, electromagnetic torque and rotor flux of IM.展开更多

A shunt compensator is proposed, which consists of a voltage controlled reactor by full-wave thyristor bridge in parallel with a capacitor. The proposed voltage control technique composed of two independent fuzzy controllers, primary and secondary. The PFC (primary fuzzy controller) is designed based on linearization method to introduce to the network the nearest value of reactive power (VAR) required to correct the power factor. The SFC (secondary fuzzy controller) is designed to achieve accurate compensation for the required VAR to achieve the pre-set power factor value. Simulations for 15 different practical study cases are presented to evaluate the performance of the controller, and the results show how the designed controller is fast and accurate. Harmonics analyses are carried out up to the 13th harmonic to determine the requirement of harmonics filter.展开更多

This paper proposes a new ladder type structure of cascaded three-phase multilevel inverter with reduced number of power semiconductor devices which is used to drive the induction motor. The ultimate aim of the paper is to produce multiple output levels with minimum number of semiconductor devices. This paper uses only 11 switches along with 3 diodes and 4 asymmetrical sources to produce an output voltage of 21 levels. The modulation technique plays a major role in commutation of the switches. Here we implement the multicarrier level shifting pulse width modulation technique to produce the commutation signals for the inverter. The proposed multilevel inverter is used to drive the three-phase induction motor. The mathematical modeling of three-phase induction motor is done using Simulink. Furthermore the PI and fuzzy logic controllers are also used to produce the reference waveform of the level shifting technique which in turn produces the commutation signals of the proposed multilevel converter. The controllers are used to control the speed of the induction motor. The effectiveness of the proposed system is proved with the help of simulation. The simulation is performed in MATLAB/Simulink. 文摘This paper presents a gross examination about Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) to invigorate the power issues at the distribution level of the electrical system. Nowadays power electronics research has added the importance of power quality studies, for concrete illustration, Custom Power Devices (CPD) and Flexible AC Transmission position (FACTS) devices. The approach offered in this paper utilizes the series and shunt compensator of Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) to inject a compensation voltage in-phase with the source current over voltage fluctuations. The execution of two structures of UPQC, left-shunt (L-UPQC) and right-shunt (R-UPQC) are investigated under diverse operating conditions based on the fuzzy logic controller to raise the value of power quality of a single feeder distribution system by MATLAB/Simulink programming. Various power quality issues have been analyzed in this study. Finally, the right shunt UPQC is outperformed in this proposed power system.
文摘This study proposes a fuzzy system for tracking the maximum power point of a PV system for solar panel. The solar panel and maximum power point tracker have been modeled using MATLAB/Simulink. A simulation model consists of PV panel, boost converter, and maximum power point tack MPPT algorithm is developed. Three different conditions are simulated: 1) Uniform irradiation;2) Sudden changing;3) Partial shading. Results showed that fuzzy controller successfully find MPP for all different weather conditions studied. FLC has excellent ability to track MPP in less than 0.01 second when PV is subjected to sudden changes and partial shading in irradiation.
文摘Most of the controllers of IM (induction motor) for industrial applications have been designed based on PI controller without consideration of CL (core loss) and SLL (stray load loss). The simulation results show that the fuzzy logic based speed controller gives better responses than ANN and conventional PI based speed controllers in terms of rotor speed, electromagnetic torque and rotor flux of IM.
文摘This paper presents the use of fuzzy logic technique to control the reactive power of load and hence improve the source power factor. Harmonics analyses are carried out up to the 13th harmonic to determine the requirement of harmonics filter.
文摘Multilevel inverters are gaining popularity in high power applications. From the simulation results, it shows that the proposed multilevel inverter works properly to generate the multilevel output waveform with minimum number of semiconductor devices. The PI and fuzzy logic controller performances are evaluated using the results which indicate that with the help of controllers the harmonics has been reduced and the speed control of induction motor is achieved under different loading conditions.
文摘This paper presents the implementation of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) with fuzzy logic controller. For cost consideration, an inexpensive 8-bit microcontroller, PIC 16F877A, is selected and programmed with C language and integer variables For evaluation, the implemented fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is compared with the MPPT controller of using perturbation and observation (P&O). Both types of MPPT controllers are tested on the same voltage source with a series-connected resistor. Experimental results show that the implemented FLC with appropriate design meets the control requirements of MPPT. The FLC based on linguistic fuzzy rules has more flexibility and intelligence than conventional P&O controller, but the FLC spends more RAM and ROM spaces than the P&O tracker does.

文摘In order to overcome the wide-range load tracking and unknown disturbance issues of an ultra-supercritical boiler- turbine unit, a fuzzy disturbance rejection predictive control approach is proposed using the techniques of fuzzy scheduling, model predictive control and extended state observer. Local state-space models are established on the basis of nonlinearity analysis and subspace identification. To eiJiance thedisturbance rejection capability of the controller, a extended state observer is employed to estimate unnown disturbances and model mismatches. The disturbance estimation ennaced local predictive controllers ae subsequently devised based on the local models, the performance of which is further strengthened by incorporating the fuzzy scheduling technique. The simulation results verify the merits of the proposed strategy in achieving satisfactory wide-range load tracking ad disturbance rejection performance.
