This paper introduces a multi-granularity locking model (MGL) for concurrency control in object-oriented database system briefiy, and presents a MGL model formally. Four lockingscheduling algorithms for MGL are proposed in the paper. The ideas of single queue scheduling(SQS) and dual queue scheduling (DQS) are proposed and the algorithm and the performance evaluation for these two scheduling are presented in some paper. This paper describes a new idea of thescheduling for MGL, compatible requests first (CRF). Combining the new idea with SQS and DQS,we propose two new scheduling algorithms called CRFS and CRFD. After describing the simulationmodel, this paper illustrates the comparisons of the performance among these four algorithms. Asshown in the experiments, DQS has better performance than SQS, CRFD is better than DQS, CRFSperforms better than SQS, and CRFS is the best one of these four scheduling algorithms. 展开更多

Active databases react to stimulation, or event from inside or outside the system without user or application interference through Events Conditions Actions(ECA) rules (triggers). ECA rule is defined as: ON event IF condition THEN action, which means when an event happens, if the condition is satisfied then the corresponding action is executed. The nature of ECA rule makes it an appropriate means to model dynamic character of systems, as gained much studies during recent years. Traditional ECA rule is crisp, which means their events, condition (s) and action(s) are accurate. As indicate that ECA rules can only represent precise knowledge. But knowledge is usually fuzzy in engineering. A concept of fuzzy ECA rules characterized with fuzzy event, fuzzy condition and fuzzy action is proposed in this article.The realization avenues of fuzzy triggers are discussed. The work we have done blazes a way in representing approximate syntax in active database application systems. At last a case of 'overheating alarm' is given to illustrate the approach. 展开更多

With the rapid growth in the availability of digital health-related data,there is a great demand for the utilization of intelligent information systems within the healthcare sector.These systems can manage and manipulate this massive amount of health-related data and encourage different decision-making tasks.They can also provide various sustainable health services such as medical error reduction,diagnosis acceleration,and clinical services quality improvement.The intensive care unit(ICU)is one of the most important hospital units.However,there are limited rooms and resources in most hospitals.During times of seasonal diseases and pandemics,ICUs face high admission demand.In line with this increasing number of admissions,determining health risk levels has become an essential and imperative task.It creates a heightened demand for the implementation of an expert decision support system,enabling doctors to accurately and swiftly determine the risk level of patients.Therefore,this study proposes a fuzzy logic inference system built on domain-specific knowledge graphs,as a proof-of-concept,for tackling this healthcare-related issue.The system employs a combination of two sets of fuzzy input parameters to classify health risk levels of new admissions to hospitals.The proposed system implemented utilizes MATLAB Fuzzy Logic Toolbox via several experiments showing the validity of the proposed system. 展开更多

This paper summarizes the research results dealing with washer and nut taxonomy and knowledge base design, making the use of fuzzy methodology. In particular, the theory of fuzzy membership functions, similarity matrices, and the operation of fuzzy inference play important roles.A realistic set of 25 washers and nuts are employed to conduct extensive experiments and simulations.The investigation includes a complete demonstration of engineering design. The results obtained from this feasibility study are very encouraging indeed because they represent the lower bound with respect to performance, namely correctrecognition rate, of what fuzzy methodology can do. This lower bound shows high recognition rate even with noisy input patterns, robustness in terms of noise tolerance, and simplicity in hardware implementation. This paper has proposed an error searching method to search the solutions of errors that occurred in the unified commanding platform mix-deployed software (UCPMD). Because those errors belong to different stages or may be happened in different services, applications, IP ports, system software, or different versions of software, and those errors are also can be classified into different types. It is necessary to locate accurate reason that cause an error as well as find out its solution. The proposed error searching system applies Chinese keyword extraction and Chinese fuzzy matching between keywords, which considers the processed keywords as the index to find out the solutions of errors. Besides, the error searching system had made correspondence among errors, reasons, and solutions, and put them to different categories in terms of their characteristics, such that it is easy to manage, search, and use. Among others, we have added specialized thesaurus as the index of keywords, which enriches and completes the searching results. Because of the proposed error searching system evolves keyword extraction and keyword fuzzy matching technologies;it is more accurate to find out user-interested solutions. 展开更多

The present paper deals with the modeling for searching of the desired information from a large database by storing the data inside the three dimensional data cubes. A sample case study is considered as a real data related to the ground water and municipal water supply, which contains the data from the various localities of a city. For the demonstration purpose, a sample size is taken as nine but when it becomes very large for number of localities of different cities then it is necessary to store the data inside data cubes. A well known object-oriented Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used to create Unified class and state models.
