The article proposes an Equivalent Single Layer(ESL)formulation for the linear static analysis of arbitrarily-shaped shell structures subjected to general surface loads and boundary conditions.A parametrization of the physical domain is provided by employing a set of curvilinear principal coordinates.The generalized blendingmethodology accounts for a distortion of the structure so that disparate geometries can be considered.Each layer of the stacking sequence has an arbitrary orientation and is modelled as a generally anisotropic continuum.In addition,re-entrant auxetic three-dimensional honeycomb cells with soft-core behaviour are considered in the model.The unknown variables are described employing a generalized displacement field and pre-determined through-the-thickness functions assessed in a unified formulation.Then,a weak assessment of the structural problem accounts for shape functions defined with an isogeometric approach starting fromthe computational grid.Ageneralizedmethodology has been proposed to define two-dimensional distributions of static surface loads.In the same way,boundary conditions with three-dimensional features are implemented along the shell edges employing linear springs.The fundamental relations are obtained from the stationary configuration of the total potential energy,and they are numerically tackled by employing the Generalized Differential Quadrature(GDQ)method,accounting for nonuniform computational grids.In the post-processing stage,an equilibrium-based recovery procedure allows the determination of the three-dimensional dispersion of the kinematic and static quantities.Some case studies have been presented,and a successful benchmark of different structural responses has been performed with respect to various refined theories. 展开更多

This paper proposes a new cooperative projection neural network (CPNN), which combines automatically three individual neural network models with a common projection term. As a special case, the proposed CPNN can include three recent recurrent neural networks for solving monotone variational inequality problems with limit or linear constraints, respectively. Under the monotonicity condition of the corresponding Lagrangian mapping, the proposed CPNN is theoretically guaranteed to solve monotone variational inequality problems and a class of nonmonotone variational inequality problems with linear and nonlinear constraints. Unlike the extended projection neural network, the proposed CPNN has no limitation on the initial point for global convergence. Compared with other related cooperative neural networks and numerical optimization algorithms, the proposed CPNN has a low computational complexity and requires weak convergence conditions. An application in real-time grasping force optimization and examples demonstrate good performance of the proposed CPNN. 展开更多

Beam structures are extensively used in many engineering branches.For marine engineering,the ship shafting system is generally simplified as a vibration model with single or multiple beam structures connected by the coupling stiffness.In engineering,multiple nonlinear energy sinks(NESs)can be arranged on the premise of sufficient installation space to ensure their vibration suppression effect.Considering engineering practice,this study investigates the dynamic behavior and vibration suppression of a generally restrained pre-pressure beam structure with multiple uniformly distributed NESs,where the prepressure is typically caused by thrust bearings,installation ways,and others.System governing equations are derived through the generalized Hamiltonian principle and the variational procedure.Dynamic responses of the pre-pressure beam structure are predicted by the Galerkin truncation method.The effect of NESs on dynamic responses and vibration suppression of the pre-pressure beam structure is studied and discussed.Suitable parameters of NESs have a beneficial effect on the vibration suppression at both ends of the pre-pressure beam structure.NESs can modify the vibration frequency and energy transmission characteristics of the vibration system.For different boundary conditions,the optimized parameters of NESs significantly suppress the vibration energy of the pre-pressure beam structure. 展开更多
