With the continuous improvement of permanent magnet(PM)wind generators'capacity and power density,the design of reasonable and efficient cooling structures has become a focus.This paper proposes a fully enclosed self-circulating hydrogen cooling structure for a originally forced-air-cooled direct-drive PM wind generator.The proposed hydrogen cooling system uses the rotor panel supports that hold the rotor core as the radial blades,and the hydrogen flow is driven by the rotating plates to flow through the axial and radial vents to realize the efficient cooling of the generator.According to the structural parameters of the cooling system,the Taguchi method is used to decouple the structural variables.The influence of the size of each cooling structure on the heat dissipation characteristic is analyzed,and the appropriate cooling structure scheme is determined. 展开更多

Heat Transfer Analysis in Cooling System of Hydropower’s Generator

Cooling process of power plant generator is handled via air-cooled radiators in which the cooling water is supplied from lake with its water temperature varies from season to season. In this study, the effect of temperature fluctuations of cooling water entering the cooling system has been examined via analysis of energy (NTU method) and exergy. The exergy analysis has been done by definition of efficiency coefficient for exergy of cooling media (water) and heating media (air). Besides, the effect of changing the cooling water temperature and flow rate entering the radiators on the cooling system performance has been studied. The results revealed the generator cooling system performance level held sufficient till the temperature of inlet water was kept under 293 k (20°C). On one hand, when the temperature of cooling water at the inlet rises to 12°C, the rate of heat exchange at radiators falls up to 34.3%. On the other hand, by water temperature passing the 12°C limit, the efficiency of cooling media exergy falls to 78% leading to efficiency rise in radiators’ heating media exergy level to 61%. According to the results of this study, changing flow rate of cooling media up to 40% gives rise to the efficiency coefficient of radiators’ cooling media exergy level to about 18.7%. While it does not affect the efficiency level of energy at radiators, the flow rate rise of cooling media may not be considered as a way to give rise to efficiency level of radiators. 展开更多

Through experimental research, simulative calculation, process and equipment development, field tests and a demonstration project, the design and operation technologies for air-cooling system are grasped and relevant key equipment is developed. The results of the demonstration project show that the technical indicators for the air-cooling system have met or exceeded the design requirements. Part of the research results have been incorporated into the relevant national design standards. The technologies developed have been applied to more than 23 sets of thermal power units of or above 600 MW in China. 展开更多

Distributed generators now is widely used in electrical power networks, in some cases it works seasonally, and some types works at special weather conditions like photo voltaic systems and wind energy, and due to this continuous changes in generation condition, the fault current level in network will be affected, this changes in fault current level will affect in the coordination between protection relays and to keep the coordination at right way, an adaptive protection system is required that can adaptive its setting according to generation changes, the fault current level in each case is evaluated using ETAP software, and the required relay setting in each case is also evaluated using Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm, and to select suitable setting which required in each condition, to select the active setting group of protection relay according to generation capacity, central protection unite can be used, and to improve protection stability and minimizing relays tripping time, a proposed method for selecting suitable backup relay is used, which leads to decrease relays tripping time and increase system stability, output settings for relays in all cases achieved our constrains. 展开更多

In the assessment of car insurance claims,the claim rate for car insurance presents a highly skewed probability distribution,which is typically modeled using Tweedie distribution.The traditional approach to obtaining the Tweedie regression model involves training on a centralized dataset,when the data is provided by multiple parties,training a privacy-preserving Tweedie regression model without exchanging raw data becomes a challenge.To address this issue,this study introduces a novel vertical federated learning-based Tweedie regression algorithm for multi-party auto insurance rate setting in data silos.The algorithm can keep sensitive data locally and uses privacy-preserving techniques to achieve intersection operations between the two parties holding the data.After determining which entities are shared,the participants train the model locally using the shared entity data to obtain the local generalized linear model intermediate parameters.The homomorphic encryption algorithms are introduced to interact with and update the model intermediate parameters to collaboratively complete the joint training of the car insurance rate-setting model.Performance tests on two publicly available datasets show that the proposed federated Tweedie regression algorithm can effectively generate Tweedie regression models that leverage the value of data fromboth partieswithout exchanging data.The assessment results of the scheme approach those of the Tweedie regressionmodel learned fromcentralized data,and outperformthe Tweedie regressionmodel learned independently by a single party. 展开更多

The method of determining guide bearing dynamic characteristic coefficients according to the swing of the shaft is proposed, which can be used for studying the self-vibration characteristic and stability of the water turbine generator set. The method fully considers the complex supporting boundary and loading conditions; especially the nonlinear variation of guide bearing dynamic characteristic coefficients and the coupling effect of the whole power-house foundation. The swing and critical rotating speed of an actual generator set shaft system are calculated. The simulated results of the generator set indicate that the coupling vibration model and calculation method presented in this paper are suitable for stability analysis of the water turbine generator set. 展开更多

Vertical evaporative cooling generator, which adopts Close-Loop-Self-Cycle with no-pump; free convection boil in the hollow stator bar, is one of the great developments in generator design. This article emphasizes the importance of cooling system in generator; expatiates the circulation theory in two aspects, energy; flow;; analyzes the essential reason, motivity; stability of Close-Loop-Self-Cycle. The article points out that the motivity of the circulation is the heat absorbed by coolant. After absorbing heat the coolant will have the ability of doing work because of the phase change. In another words, it is the buoyancy causing by density difference leads to the Close-Loop-Self-Cycle. This conclusion is validated by experimental data. 展开更多

We proposed a novel efficient operation scheme for a thermal power plant’s air-cooling system based on peak shaving, in order to cope with high ambient temperature in summer. We introduced an absorptiongeneration equipment with water/lithium working pairs into the air cooled condenser(ACC) to reconstruct the traditional thermal power plant, and established a dynamic thermodynamic model adopting Ebsilon code. We studied the thermodynamic performance variation of the reconstructed thermal power plant throughout a 24-hour cycle and found that the fluctuation ratio of the turbine back pressure decreased to 6% from 78%, which is beneficial for the stable and safe operation of the electric power system. The thermal performance improvement benefited from the exploitation of the heat transfer potential of ACC, which realized via cold duty schedule throughout the day, under different ambient temperature conditions. In this system, the generated power was higher at relatively high ambient temperature than that at relatively low ambient temperature, which solved the electricity demand-supply imbalance problem under high ambient temperature. Finally, the same optimization effects for power thermal plants with an indirect air-cooling system were obtained using the same operation scheme. 展开更多

Therefore, its control is one of the key technologies of electric vehicles. Based on the discussion about the demands to the engine-generator set in tracked vehicles, the detailed function of engine-generator and the control strategy are determined. The hardware and software of the control system are also developed and tested in a prototype vehicle. The experiment results show that the control system has good reliability and can satisfy the power requirements of vehicles under all operating conditions. 展开更多

The study also introduces the idea of a generalized soft expert matrix and demonstrates how it may be used to solve decision-making issues. 鉴于原动机调速特性对舰船中压直流(MVDC)发电机组运行影响的重要性,该文基于十二相同步发电机及其三相交流励磁机数学模型提出MVDC发电机组动态建模方法,以解决多相整流发电机及其励磁系统难以考虑原动机动态调速特性的难题。以某型燃... 鉴于原动机调速特性对舰船中压直流(MVDC)发电机组运行影响的重要性,该文基于十二相同步发电机及其三相交流励磁机数学模型提出MVDC发电机组动态建模方法,以解决多相整流发电机及其励磁系统难以考虑原动机动态调速特性的难题。以某型燃气轮机整流发电机组动态仿真模型为基础,建立了频率不同的十二相同步发电机与三相交流励磁机组合模型,阐述原动机调速与发电机励磁调压相互耦合的计算流程。实测与仿真结果表明,该型燃气轮机发电机组在突加20%负载工况时转速跌落较大,且转速恢复过程需约20 s,但MVDC发电机组通过调节励磁系统可在1 s内使直流母线电压恢复稳定,从而为负载提供稳定直流功率输出。在校准仿真模型的基础上,通过系统分析突加不同比例负载时的转速、燃油流量、励磁电流、输出电压等性能参数变化规律,获取了燃发机组允许突加负载上限约为30%的运行边界认知,为MVDC发电机组励磁系统设计以及如何预留充足的短时强励能力提供了理论支撑。 展开更多
