Using optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), revealedthe content of pyrite and the microscopic or sub-microscopic occurrence features of pyritein coal of Huainan.The samples of this study are from ...Using optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), revealedthe content of pyrite and the microscopic or sub-microscopic occurrence features of pyritein coal of Huainan.The samples of this study are from four different mines in Huainan coalfield.The results show that, in general, the coal of Huainan is low sulfur coal, but the contentof pyrite in Guqiao mine is relatively higher.The occurrence types of pyrite in coalmainly include: strawberry ball pyrites, massive pyrites, tuberculoid pyrite and pyrite fillingin cracks or joints.After analysis based on three indicating facies parameters /_(AA),/_S and /_R,the reason for the higher level of pyrite component is that the deoxidization of swamp wateris stronger, salinity is greater and the hydrodynamic is bad.The strawberry ball pyritesfound in Guqiao mostly formed in the syngenesis stage.The spherical raspberry pyritessymbiotic with clay minerals was formed due to the reaction of H_2S with Fe in the grid ofsilicate crystal.展开更多
Objective: The purpose of the paper is to provide the result from investigation on the current situation of coal-burning fluorosis prevalence in Chongqing City and make an assessment on the prevention and curing measu...Objective: The purpose of the paper is to provide the result from investigation on the current situation of coal-burning fluorosis prevalence in Chongqing City and make an assessment on the prevention and curing measures. Method: The Dean’s Method is applied to investigate on the fluorotic teeth of locally-born children aged between 8 to 12;investigate how modified cooking stoves are utilized by households and how food maize and hot pepper are being dried;and test the urinary fluorine content and pepper fluorine content. Result: The investigations show that, in the 661 villages with illness history from the 100 townships of 13 districts in Chongqing City, 11.28% (7464/ 66,162) of the children aged between 8 and 12 suffer from dental fluorosis;the stoves modified rate, qualified rate of modified stoves, and correct utilization rate of qualified modified stoves are respectively 100%, 98.82%, and 99.45%;and food maize and hot pepper’s drying rates are respectively 99.88% and 99.75%. Conclusion: The result shows that the coal-burning type fluorosis prevalence in the endemic area of Chongqing City has decreased dramatically, the preventive measure is effectively implemented, and a long-term preventive mechanism has preliminarily been established.展开更多
Through the analysis of the surrounding rock, coal seam burial depth, coalquality and hydrologic geological condition, the methane-bearing property characteristicsof the coal reservoir in the Gemudi syncline were eluc...Through the analysis of the surrounding rock, coal seam burial depth, coalquality and hydrologic geological condition, the methane-bearing property characteristicsof the coal reservoir in the Gemudi syncline were elucidated.Most of the wall rock of thecoal reservoir is mudstone and silt, which is a favourable enclosing terrane.Burial depth ofthe main excavating coal seam is moderate.The groundwater activity is thin, and thereare absolute groundwater systems between each coal seam, which make poor interconnectionsto accelerate CBM enrichment.In our research, the area coal reservoir metamorphosisis high, CBM content is high, hole-cranny system development degree is high,and permeability of the great mass of the main coal seam exceeds 0.1×10^(-3) μm^2.The resultdemonstrates that the southeast of the Gemudi syncline has the best conditions forprospecting and exploiting CBM.展开更多
There are various types of coal basins in China. Indosinian movement can be re- garded as their evolutionary limit, and the basins can be divided into two developmental stages, three structural patterns and two sedime...There are various types of coal basins in China. Indosinian movement can be re- garded as their evolutionary limit, and the basins can be divided into two developmental stages, three structural patterns and two sedimentary environments. However, only those coal measure strata that have been deeply buried in the earth are possible to be converted into coal and gas (oil)-bearing basins. Among which, only part of the coal measures possess the essential geo- logical conditions to the formation of commercial humic oil. However, humic gas will be the major exploration target for natural gas in China. Among various coal basins, foreland basins have the best prospect for humic gas. Rift (faulted) basins accumulate the most abundance of humic gas, and are most favorable to generate humic oil. Craton basins have relatively low abundance of humic gas, but the evolution is rather great. The three kinds of coal basins mentioned above constitute China’s three primary accumulation areas of humic gas: western, central and offshore areas. The major basins for humic gas field exploration include Tarim, Ordos, Sichuan, East China Sea and Yingqiong basins.展开更多
