Traditional cubature Kalman filter(CKF)is a preferable tool for the inertial navigation system(INS)/global positioning system(GPS)integration under Gaussian noises.The CKF,however,may provide a significantly biased es...Traditional cubature Kalman filter(CKF)is a preferable tool for the inertial navigation system(INS)/global positioning system(GPS)integration under Gaussian noises.The CKF,however,may provide a significantly biased estimate when the INS/GPS system suffers from complex non-Gaussian disturbances.To address this issue,a robust nonlinear Kalman filter referred to as cubature Kalman filter under minimum error entropy with fiducial points(MEEF-CKF)is proposed.The MEEF-CKF behaves a strong robustness against complex nonGaussian noises by operating several major steps,i.e.,regression model construction,robust state estimation and free parameters optimization.More concretely,a regression model is constructed with the consideration of residual error caused by linearizing a nonlinear function at the first step.The MEEF-CKF is then developed by solving an optimization problem based on minimum error entropy with fiducial points(MEEF)under the framework of the regression model.In the MEEF-CKF,a novel optimization approach is provided for the purpose of determining free parameters adaptively.In addition,the computational complexity and convergence analyses of the MEEF-CKF are conducted for demonstrating the calculational burden and convergence characteristic.The enhanced robustness of the MEEF-CKF is demonstrated by Monte Carlo simulations on the application of a target tracking with INS/GPS integration under complex nonGaussian noises.展开更多

The conditions, under which any stationary point of the optimization problem is the solution to the box constrained VIP, are discussed. In this paper,a Backstepping Global Integral Terminal Sliding Mode Controller(BGITSMC)with the view to enhancing the dynamic stability of a hybrid AC/DC microgrid has been presented.The proposed approach controls the ...In this paper,a Backstepping Global Integral Terminal Sliding Mode Controller(BGITSMC)with the view to enhancing the dynamic stability of a hybrid AC/DC microgrid has been presented.The proposed approach controls the switch-ing signals of the inverter,interlinking the DC-bus with the AC-bus in an AC/DC microgrid for a seamless interface and regulation of the output power of renewable energy sources(Solar Photovoltaic unit,PMSG-based wind farm),and Battery Energy Storage System.The proposed control approach guarantees the dynamic stability of a hybrid AC/DC microgrid by regulating the associated states of the microgrid system to their intended values.The dynamic stabil-ity of the microgrid system with the proposed control law has been proved using the Control Lyapunov Function.A simulation analysis was performed on a test hybrid AC/DC microgrid system to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control strategy in terms of maintaining power balance while the system’s operating point changed.Furthermore,the superiority of the proposed approach has been demonstrated by comparing its performance with the existing Sliding Mode Control(SMC)approach for a hybrid AC/DC microgrid.展开更多

This approach consists of tw...This paper presents a new approach to estimate the true position of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the conditions of spoofing attacks on global positioning system (GPS) receivers. This approach consists of two phases, the spoofing detection phase which is accomplished by hypothesis test and the trajectory estimation phase which is carried out by applying the adapted particle filters to the integrated inertial navigation system (INS) and GPS. Due to nonlinearity and unfavorable impacts of spoofing signals on GPS receivers, deviation in position calculation is modeled as a cumulative uniform error. This paper also presents a procedure of applying adapted particle swarm optimization filter (PSOF) to the INS/GPS integration system as an estimator to compensate spoofing attacks. Due to memory based nature of PSOF and benefits of each particle's experiences, application of PSOF algorithm in the INS/GPS integ- ration system leads to more precise positioning compared with general particle filter (PF) and adaptive unscented particle filer (AUPF) in the GPS spoofing attack scenarios. Simulation results show that the adapted PSOF algorithm is more reliable and accurate in estim- ating the true position of UAV in the condition of spoofing attacks. The validation of the proposed method is done by root mean square error (RMSE) test.展开更多
Continuous high spatial-resolution 10-day precipitation data are essential for crop growth services and phenological research.In this study,we first use the bidimensional empirical mode decomposition(BEMD)algorithm to...Continuous high spatial-resolution 10-day precipitation data are essential for crop growth services and phenological research.In this study,we first use the bidimensional empirical mode decomposition(BEMD)algorithm to decompose the digital elevation model(DEM)data and obtain high-frequency(OR3),intermediate-frequency(OR5),and low-frequency(OR8)margin terrains.Then,we propose a refined precipitation spatialization model,which uses ground-based meteorological observation data,integrated multi-satellite retrievals for global precipitation measurement(GPM IMERG)satellite precipitation products,DEM data,terrain decomposition data,prevailing precipitation direction(PPD)data,and other multisource data,to construct China's high-resolution 10-day precipitation data from2001 to 2018.The decomposition results show mountainous terrain from fine to coarse scales;and the influences of altitude,slope,and aspect on precipitation are better represented in the model after topography is decomposed.Moreover,terrain decomposition data can be added to the model simulation to improve the quality of the simulation product;the simulation quality of the model in summer is better than that in spring and autumn,and is relatively poor in winter;and OR5 and OR8 can be improved in the simulation,with better OR5 and OR8 dynamically selected.In addition,preprocessing the data before precipitation spatialization is particularly important.For example,adding 0.01to the 0 value of precipitation,multiplying the small value of precipitation less than 1 by 10,and performing the normal distributions transform(e.g.,Yeo–Johnson)on the data can improve the simulation quality.展开更多
