Impacts of Globalization on Agriculture Logistics Efficiency in the Context of China

Under the analysis framework of output distance function,this paper makes overall measurement of rural Agriculture Logistics Efficiency( ALE) by constructing non-parametric production frontier function model using related panel date of 28 provinces over the period1994-2014 in China. The accession to the WTO is the most important milestone in the process of China's globalization. It employs the bi-directional fixed effects model and the difference in differences( DID) method to study the impacts of globalization( joining WTO) on ALE and its mechanism of action in the context of China. The results show that the WTO makes ALE of China generally increased by about 34. 2%,promoting ALE with a long-term dynamic gradual process; long-term impact of globalization on ALE is about 83. 3%,which is higher than shortterm effect; the promotion of ALE is obtained mainly by the improvement of rural logistics infrastructure,rural informatization level,regional division of agriculture and the quality of rural labor force brought by globalization; agriculture logistics professional level has not yet acquired obvious enhancement during the process of globalization in China so far. 展开更多

Climate change is widely recognized as the major environmental problem facing the globe today. One of the most urgent environmental problems facing shipping industry is the reduction of GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions from its operations. Given the growing concern of the international community on "the deep reduction of global GHG emissions", it cannot be expected that the non-regulation of maritime GHG emissions can further continue. This paper investigates the main challenges and threats of the development of two MBMs (market-based measures) for the reduction of GHG emissions from international shipping, i.e., the "global levy scheme on maritime GHG emissions" and the "maritime emission trading scheme". A SWOT (strengths weaknesses opportunities threat) analysis is used, in this survey, to evaluate the environmental effectiveness as well as the easiness of implementation of the two policy options. Moreover, we make apparent their strengths and weaknesses concerning abatement of maritime GHG emissions. Given the fact that the discussion regarding the implementation of some MBMs with maritime GHG-emission reduction potential is still carried out with the exception of EEDI (energy efficiency design index) and SEEMP (ship energy efficiency management plan), this paper's results present special significance, as they could be further analyzed and taken into account during the adoption of any future MBM for the reduction of maritime GHG emissions. 展开更多

An Empirical Analysis of the Determinants of the Performance of the Global Private Equity Funds Markets

Over the last decade, the private equity (PE) industry, primarily venture capital and leveraged buyout investments, has matured massively. Consequently, public interest towards that particular asset class has increased rapidly. This study seeks to empirically assess the determinants of private equity funds' (PEFs) performance around the world. The study comprises a panel data of 103 publicly traded PEFs globally for the period of 2007-2013. Generalized least squares (GLS) technique is employed to regress the explanatory variables. The objective is accentuated on the major contributing factors that make a PEF successful. The analysis, in this paper, examines the effect of fund size, investment size, geographical focus, and industrial specialization on return. The empirical results provide evidence that: (1) Fund size and industrial specialization were observed to have an insignificant influence on the funds' returns in our panels; (2) Investment size is positively related to fund performance, indicating that larger deal sizes exhibited superior performance level; and (3) Geographical focus exhibited a negative association with fund performance, leading to the conclusion that limited geographical deployment of funds or absence of market diversification resulted in a fall in funds' returns. Consequently, to proxy for return of funds, stock prices of listed PEFs under LPEQ listings were employed. 展开更多

As in the cases of London and Stockholm, many European cities are going to implement such toll systems, especially as also the European Commission is voting for such pricing schemes in the recent white book on transportation and traffic, This research therefore provides a description of different urban road pricing schemes, their cost implications for city (last mile) transport as well as the decision and management options derived from these schemes for logistics companies. 在当前自然语言处理多意图识别模型研究中,存在建模方式均为从意图到插槽的单一方向的信息流建模,忽视了插槽到意图的信息流交互建模研究,意图识别任务易于混淆且错误捕获其他意图信息,上下文语义特征提取质量不佳,有待进一步提升等问题... 在当前自然语言处理多意图识别模型研究中,存在建模方式均为从意图到插槽的单一方向的信息流建模,忽视了插槽到意图的信息流交互建模研究,意图识别任务易于混淆且错误捕获其他意图信息,上下文语义特征提取质量不佳,有待进一步提升等问题.本文以当前先进的典型代表GL-GIN模型为基础,进行优化改进,探索了插槽到意图的交互建模方法,运用槽到意图的单向注意力层,计算插槽到意图的注意力得分,纳入注意力机制,利用插槽到意图的注意力得分作为连接权重,使其可以传播和聚集与意图相关的插槽信息,使意图重点关注与其相关的插槽信息,从而实现多意图识别模型的双向信息流动;同时,引入BERT模型作为编码层,以提升了语义特征提取质量.实验表明,该交互建模方法效果提升明显,与原GL-GIN模型相比,在两个公共数据集(MixATIS和MixSNIPS)上,新模型的总准确率分别提高了5.2%和9%. 展开更多

针对传统麻雀搜索算法(sparrow search algorithm,SSA)在轮式机器人路径规划应用中易陷入局部最优使得规划路径较长以及算法后期容易陷入早熟等问题,提出一种改进麻雀搜索算法(improved sparrow search algorithm,ISSA)应用在轮式机器... 针对传统麻雀搜索算法(sparrow search algorithm,SSA)在轮式机器人路径规划应用中易陷入局部最优使得规划路径较长以及算法后期容易陷入早熟等问题,提出一种改进麻雀搜索算法(improved sparrow search algorithm,ISSA)应用在轮式机器人路径规划中。首先,在算法初期初始化种群时利用Logistic混沌提高初始种群的多样性;其次,将线性动态惯性权重调整方法引入到发现者位置更新中,使得算法的全局搜索能力以及收敛速度得以提升;然后,在跟随者位置更新方法中结合中垂线算法(midperpendicular algorithm,MA)使跟随者快速精准地向种群适应度最高的个体靠拢;最后,在算法后期结合最优爆炸粒子策略与反向学习策略在最优解附近产生扰动,防止算法后期陷入局部最优解。并且在机器人路径规划应用中将全局最优解再次进行局部搜索来提高机器人的路径规划能力。仿真结果表明,ISSA应用在路径规划中,其路径长度、寻优速度以及迭代次数方面均有显著提高。 展开更多
