Assuming that the solution q(x, t) exists, we show that it can be represented in terms of the solution of a matrix Riemann- Hilbert problem formulated in the plane of the complex spectral parameter ξ. This problem has explicit (x, t) dependence, and it has jumps across {ξ∈C|Imξ^4 = 0}. The relevant jump matrices are explicitely given in terms of the spectral functions {a(ξ), b(ξ)}, {A(ξ), B(ξ)}, and {A(ξ), B(ξ)}, which in turn are defined in terms of the initial data q0(x) = q(x, 0), the bound- ary data g0(t)= q(0, t), g1(t) = qx(0, t), and another boundary values f0(t) = q(L, t), f1(t) = qx(L, t). The greatest earthquake in the modern history of Japan and probably the fourth greatest in the last 100 years in the world occurred on March 11, 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku.Large tsunami and ground motions ca...The greatest earthquake in the modern history of Japan and probably the fourth greatest in the last 100 years in the world occurred on March 11, 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku.Large tsunami and ground motions caused severe damage in wide areas, particularly many towns along the Pacific coast. So far, gravity change caused by such a great earthquake has been reported for the 1964 Alaska and the 2010 Maule events. However, the spatial-temporal resolution of the gravity data for these cases is insufficient to depict a co-seismic gravity field variation in a spatial scale of a plate subduction zone. Here, we report an unequivocal co-seismic gravity change over the Japanese Island, obtained from a hybrid gravity observation(combined absolute and relative gravity measurements). The time interval of the observation before and after the earthquake is within 1 year at almost all the observed sites, including 13 absolute and 16 relative measurement sites, which deduced tectonic and environmental contributions to the gravity change. The observed gravity agrees well with the result calculated by a dislocation theory based on a self-gravitating and layered spherical earth model. In this computation, a co-seismic slip distribution is determined by an inversion of Global Positioning System(GPS) data. Of particular interest is that the observed gravity change in some area is negative where a remarkable subsidence is observed by GPS, which can not be explained by simple vertical movement of the crust. This indicated that the mass redistribution in the underground affects the gravity change. This result supports the result that Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment(GRACE) satellites detected a crustal dilatation due to the 2004 Sumatra earthquake by the terrestrial observation with a higher spatial and temporal resolution.展开更多

However, in the next period, the growth rate of international trade will be significantly lower than that of GDP. Coupled with the de-globalization trend in developed countries, the global development needs new ideas. China and countries along the Belt and Road can promote industrialization centering on infrastructure construction, with the manufacturing industry as the core and developing countries cooperation as the main content to promote new-type globalization. China has leading manufacturing and trade capacity of the world, and strategically advocates principles of extensive consultation, shared benefits and joint contribution, therefore, the Belt and Road Initiative has a profound driving power. It is expected by 2030, 2.4 billion people with low-income along the Belt and Road will be transformed into high-income population, and then China would have a population of 1.4 billion with high income.展开更多

The reference satellite selection methods based on elevation and positional dilution of precision (PDOP) value were compared. Results show that all the above methods cannot select the optimal reference satellite. We introduce condition number of the design matrix in the reference satellite selection method to improve structure of the normal equation, because condition number can indicate the ill condition of the normal equation. The experimental results show that the new method can improve positioning accuracy and reliability in precise relative positioning.展开更多
Since the end of the Cold War,the United States has turned out to be the sole world superpower and possessed the unmatched power,and its international status and security situation reached the best period in its histo...Since the end of the Cold War,the United States has turned out to be the sole world superpower and possessed the unmatched power,and its international status and security situation reached the best period in its history.Although the U.S.power has declined relatively,its advantages have not changed substantially.The advantages of the U.S.power determine the essence of the U.S.global strategy,and since the end of the Cold War remains almost intact,which is committed to maintenance of the U.S.hegemony,including 3 core goals:maintaining security,expanding economy and promoting democracy.Since the end of the Cold War,all U.S.presidents have adhered to this hegemonic strategy while making some major adjustments,with some changing expressions and the priorities of the strategic goals.It should be pointed out that there is an important and possibly dangerous trend in the adjustments,,which is the gradual disappearance of strategic flexibility and strategic ambiguity.In other words,these global strategic adjustments after the Cold War have been increasingly focusing on China and the Asia-Pacific region.This trend is likely to continue in the second term of President Obama and will affect the development of China-U.S.relations to a large extent.展开更多

In the process of refinement an unreliable channel is employed to simulate an attack behavior...Based on the study of existing fair exchange protocols, this paper sets up an accurate formal model by stepwise refinement. In the process of refinement an unreliable channel is employed to simulate an attack behavior. The model provides a novel formal definition of exchanged items, and presents the formal goals for fairness, accountability, etc., reflecting the inherent requirements for fair exchange protocols across-the-board. In order to check, prove, and design fair exchange protocols effectively and efficiently, the model puts forward a novel property of abuse-freeness which applies to all fair exchange protocols, gives a formal definition for trust strand of the third party, and presents general criteria of designing a secure and effective fair exchange protocol. Taking a typical fair exchange protocol as an example, this paper presents the analysis steps of fair exchange protocols appealing to our model. An unknown attack is uncovered. The analysis reveals the process of a complete attack, discovering deeper reasons for causing an attack. Finally, we modify the flawed protocol and the revised protocol ensures the desirable properties.展开更多

In addition, the spaceborne receivers' observations are simulat...The visibility for low earth orbit(LEO) satellites provided by the BeiDou-2 system is analyzed and compared with the global positioning system(GPS). In addition, the spaceborne receivers' observations are simulated by the BeiDou satellites broadcast ephemeris and LEO satellites orbits. The precise orbit determination(POD) results show that the along-track component accuracy is much better over the service area than the non-service area, while the accuracy of the other two directions keeps at the same level over different areas. However, the 3-dimensional(3D) accuracy over the two areas shows almost no difference. Only taking into consideration the observation noise and navigation satellite ephemeris errors, the 3D accuracy of the POD is about30 cm. As for the precise relative orbit determination(PROD), the 3D accuracy is much better over the eastern hemisphere than that of the western hemisphere. The baseline length accuracy is 3.4 mm over the service area, and it is still better than 1 cm over the non-service area. This paper demonstrates that the BeiDou regional constellation could provide global service to LEO satellites for the POD and the PROD. Finally, the benefit of geostationary earth orbit(GEO) satellites is illustrated for POD.展开更多
