Efficient Global Threshold Vector Outlyingness Ratio Filter for the Removal of Random Valued Impulse Noise

This research paper proposes a filter to remove Random Valued Impulse Noise (RVIN) based on Global Threshold Vector Outlyingness Ratio (GTVOR) that is applicable for real time image processing. This filter works with the algorithm that breaks the images into various decomposition levels using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and searches for the noisy pixels using the outlyingness of the pixel. This algorithm has the capability of differentiating high frequency pixels and the “noisy pixel” using the threshold as well as window adjustments. The damage and the loss of information are prevented by means of interior mining. This global threshold based algorithm uses different thresholds for different quadrants of DWT and thus helps in recovery of noisy image even if it is 90% affected. Experimental results exhibit that this method outperforms other existing methods for accurate noise detection and removal, at the same time chain of connectivity is not lost. 展开更多

A threshold parameter R is identified. If R≤1, the disease-free equilibrium O is globally stable. If R〉1, there is a unique endemic equilibrium and O is unstable. For two important special cases of bilinear and standard incidence ,sufficient conditions for the global stability of this endemic equilibrium are given. The same qualitative results are obtained provided the threshold is more than unity for the corresponding SEIS model with no infectious force in the latent period. Achieving a good recognition rate for degraded document images is difficult as degraded document images suffer from low contrast,bleedthrough,and nonuniform illumination effects.Unlike the existing baseline thresholding techniques that use fixed thresholds and windows,the proposed method introduces a concept for obtaining dynamic windows according to the image content to achieve better binarization.To enhance a low-contrast image,we proposed a new mean histogram stretching method for suppressing noisy pixels in the background and,simultaneously,increasing pixel contrast at edges or near edges,which results in an enhanced image.For the enhanced image,we propose a new method for deriving adaptive local thresholds for dynamic windows.The dynamic window is derived by exploiting the advantage of Otsu thresholding.To assess the performance of the proposed method,we have used standard databases,namely,document image binarization contest(DIBCO),for experimentation.The comparative study on well-known existing methods indicates that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods in terms of quality and recognition rate. 展开更多

The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the model are proved. The basic reproductive number which determines whether the disease is extinct or not is found. The globally asymptotical stability of the disease-free equilibrium and the endemic equilibrium are obtained.
